Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
We've been having some seriously gorgeous weather lately and I saw the most beautiful sunset last week and was inspired to do a gradient for this prompt. And it just so happened that I had three Pretty Serious polishes sitting in my acrylic rack that were perfect for this sunset!
I started with a white base and then sponged Pookie (blue), Honey Puff (yellow), and Peachie Poo (peach) onto my nails until I reached the desired opacity and then topped it off with topcoat. I thought about trying to draw some trees but you know how awful I am drawing trees so I decided to leave it as is, lol!
Talk to you soon!

Round 28 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
It's time again for another Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The little Canvas. I am going to be honest some more, lol: I told Alaina we needed a really easy manicure for this month because I've been crazy busy, lol.
So we picked a simple black to gray gradient. I used Zoya Storm and Trixie for a bright shiny sparkly gradient. Since Trixie is so metallic, the lines weren't very blended but I still like it!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Pantone 2016
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
I'm going to be very honest: I hate the pantone colors this year. Pastels are not my thing, especially pastel pinks, lol. But I sucked it up and grabbed two lovely colors from Zoya and did a very simple gradient/flakie combination!
Zoya Brittany is a pale pink putty color in a satin finish, and Kristen is the pale blue creme. I did a vertical gradient with these and topped them with Zoya's Maisie. The colors in the flakie don't really show up these lighter colors but it is still pretty!

Round 24 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
WOW!! It's been 2 years of Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina at The Little Canvas! I have thoroughly enjoyed these prompts and while my nail art is certainly not amazing, I am glad that I've been doing these BTN's!
For this month, Alaina and I decided to recreate one of our favorite manicures and do a new one so it's DOUBLT BTN! WHHHAAATTTT???!! So get ready....
Let's start with the recreation manicure. I honestly have no idea why I love pineapples so much but I just really love pineapple decor and graphics and pineapples pineapples pineapples! So of course, we decided to recreate our pineapple manicure! And since we are watching Psych, it is very fitting.
This time, I used all KBShimmer polishes for this manicure. The green holo is Ins And Sprouts, the gold is Sun & Games, and I used Eyes White Open and Chick Me Out for the pineapple. I don't have a black KBShimmer so I had to use an Art Club black striper for the detail.
Yep, still love the pineapples, lol.
For the next manicure, we wanted to do something bright because as I was looking through our hashtag on instagram (#fftlcbtn, if you're curious), I noticed we hadn't done a lot of bright manicures.
We decided on a diagonal gradient with black splatter. For this, I used all China Glaze polishes:
Yellow - Celtic Sun
Pink - Bite Me
Green - I'm With The Lifeguard
Blue - DJ Blue My Mind
Purple - That's Shore Bright
Black - Liquid Leather
I did use a Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for my white base, OMGhost.
Uhmmmmm what?! I freaking love these, if I do say so myself. But who doesn't love a neon splatter, amiright?!
Be sure to check out Alaina's BTN post and leave her a single word comment. She'll know who sent you.

Twinsie Tuesday: Gradient + Stamping

Well the time has come for my least favorite of prompts: stamping. Ugghhhh I'm so bad at stamping. I thought about skipping this week but I don't have a good excuse for skipping this week, lol. So here I am. Trying.
I started with a few Nine Zero polishes from the new Roy G Biv collection. I used Dispersion (the yellow) and Frequency (orange) for my gradient. These were really easy to use in a gradient, they were opaque and covered well in about two gradient coats.
Then I used my Born Pretty Store stamping plate number BPL-029 and used the daisy image with my Wet n Wild Black Creme polish to attempt to stamp. Guys. IT CAME OUT PERFECTLY! I was completely shocked. I almost posted this the night I did the art because I just couldn't wait to tell anyone and I was just so excited! I realize this is a simple stamping look but it's basically amazing for me!
This gives me hope! I did you my clear stamper from Born Pretty Store and that DEFINITELY helped. I have to see what I'm doing! LOL
Also, even though I purchased the BPS items that I used, I do have a discount code for 10% off your order at bornprettystore.com with the code FEL91. This isn't an affiliate code, just a discount for you :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By A City
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
For inspired by a city, I chose to attempt to recreate one of the gorgeous Michigan sunsets that are often photographed by the Mackinac Bridge and Mackinac Island (and if you are curious as to how to pronounce that, it's pronounced "mack-in-aw"). Mackinac Island is a Michigan treasure for several reasons, but one of the things that I love most about Mackinac Island is that there are no cars allowed on the island! The only vehicle is an ambulance. Everyone else uses horses and bicycles. Even the mail and UPS carriers! So be careful where you step, lol. The Island is beautiful and easy to walk or bike and let's not forget all of the delicious fudge shops. Seriously, there are probably about 30 and the island is only 9 miles in circumference! Anyway... this was the city that first came to mind for this prompt!
I googled Mackinac Bridge and this picture caught my eye. Immediately I knew this would be difficult for me to recreate for lots of reasons, primarily because this requires lots of small detail work but I couldn't stop thinking about this so I had to try!
I grabbed some Pretty Serious Cosmetics polishes for this manicure! The polishes used were:

I started with Forbidden Fruit as my base color but you obviously can't see it since the gradient covered it up, lol. Then I used Forbidden Fruit, Generally Hazardous, Gloomy Kitty, and Cuddle Bunny for my gradient on a cosmetic sponge. One coat of topcoat and waiting... waiting.... Then I used Morning Java to draw the Mighty Mac and the suspension lines and then highlighted the golden parts of the bridge that represent the sun shining with Yuletide of the Machines.
And don't ask my why I decided to switch bottles in between pictures, lol!!
And don't ask my why I decided to switch bottles in between pictures, lol!!
These are by no means perfect but I guess they aren't terrible? I am always on the look for the tiniest detail brush possible and I thought I was using one small enough but the lines still aren't small enough for me, lol.
What is your favorite city??

Fair Maiden Neon Gradient
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
So I know that it's only February but I'm basically over winter and am ready for brights! I busted out my Fair Maiden Polishes that have been sitting on my nail rack, staring at me for months and decided to put them to use with a vertical gradient.
I did use a white base, Sally Hansen OMGhost. Then I used a cosmetic wedge to sponge on the polishes:
Don't By Shy (pink)
Reach For The Sky (purple)
Let's Get Physical (blue)
Aim To Misbehave (Lime Green)
Daredevil (Orange)
Then I added Fairy Godmother over the top because duh... holo.
Unfortunately I had zero sun to showcase this beautiful manicure and the ott-lite is what we have to work with for now. But you know it's neon and you know it's fabulous so trust me :)
Are you ready for neons? OR do you think I'm crazy and too early for this color season? LOL

Orly 15 Minutes of Fame and Gossip Girl
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Today I have a quick gradient using the only two Orly polishes I purchased from their Winter collection, Infamous.
15 Minutes of Fame is a pinky red jelly with pink glitter. This was 2 coats.
I dabbed Gossip Girl onto the tips of my nails, using the brush in the bottle. Top coat and done.
I know these are so simple but I never tire of a simple glitter gradient!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by Your BFF
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Today we are doing mani's inspired by our BFF and my BFF requested purple and hearts so here it is.
I used Love, Angeline Mystery Holo #2 and Love Letters, a Love Angeline Facebook group custom, for a gradient. After that dried for a bit, I applied a nail decal that I had made with Tanzanite Staccato using some nail vinyls. A heart because she requested it and a wine glass because what's more fun than sharing a drink with a friend?
The polishes are so sparkly that it is a bit distracting to see everything, lol. TOO SPARKLY?! No, just very sparkly!

Hey guys!

I have a simple little gradient today! I grabbed two Liquid Sky Lacquer's and went to work. I used Love Is In The Air as my base (2 coats) and then A Nice Chianti for the gradient color. It's very simple but I really like these two colors together! Caroline does some amazing holos, too!

Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas: Round 7!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
It's that time again! Time for this month's edition of Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina of The Little Canvas!
This time, it was my turn to pick the manicure so I chose this beautiful manicure by Jary Nails. I just loved how this was wintery but not full on RED GREEEENNNNN CHRISTMAS!!!!! I love Christmas but I am just a little worn out from all of the super red and green designs, lol.
I used all Zoya polishes for my gradient, starting with Dove as the gray base. I then used Tao and Odette to complete the gradient and then used Trixie for the snowflakes. Clearly my brush was too large because I have some chunky snowflakes lines but it's okay. Every snowflake is different, right??
I matted the whole darn thing with..... eek. I can't remember! I think Essie Matte About You, because I'm trying to use up that bottle, lol. And I don't think Zoya has a matte topcoat... do they?? I honestly don't know.
ANYWAY, mine were no where near as good as Jary's or Alaina's, but I liked how they turned out! I even tried to pose like Jary does for some of her manicures, lol.
Now go check out Alaina's nails because you know that hers are amazing as always. Ugh, I hate that! Ha! I'm kidding!! And she knows I'm kidding too :-p
Any suggestions for future BTN???

Best Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
It's that time again!! Time for BTN with The Little Canvas!
This time, we decided to do something seasonal and do some fall nails. Alaina found this image, which unfortunately doesn't have anyone to credit or link back to any site. Whyyy?? This is why people should watermark their pictures, lol.
I used OPI MBSW, Zoya Pippa, Arizona, and Maura and for the trees CND Blackjack, because I don't own another plain black polish. How is this possible?!?
I started with two coats of the most perfect white ever (PLEASE BRING IT BACK, OPI!) of My Boyfriend Scales Walls then sponged on Zoya Pippa, Arizona, Maura and then a bit more Pippa on top.
You guys.... what? How? I can't even draw a skinny straight line?! Sigh. Alaina was very nice and said "they're just old oak trees!" and my roommate said "....maybe you should drink a glass of wine when you paint your nails!" LOLOLOL!! Sigh. Someday, I will be able to draw skinny straight lines. Maybe I should invest in acrylic paints for occasions such as this!
Obviously you have to go see Alaina's nails because they are one thousand times better than mine. Womp womp! LOL

Is everyone freaking out that I'm not using the Essence Twins together? Haha! Sorry!

I like simple gradients like this but holy moly, this stained my nails like WHOA!! So be warned! LOL
