China Glaze Loco Motive

Hey guys!
                                                                                                                                Nothing To Disclose

I have half of the China Glaze All Aboard collection for you today!! Whoo! Or should I say "choo choo!!"? Bahaha!

Let's start with the inspiration for my fantastic joke, Choo Choo Choose You. This is a lovely green to golden to purpleish multichrome and it's much prettier in person. When I saw promo shots for this, I didn't even pay attention to it but it's lovely! This was 3 thin coats.

Mind the Gap is a golden green bronzey color with some shimmer. This was 3 thin coats.

Well Trained is a dark teal creme. This was two easy coats.

One Track Mind is amazing and I love it and this was 2 coats. OMG THAT COLOR. I can't help it: I'm a sucker for blue!

Nice Caboose! is a fuchsia/berry color. This was 2 coats.

Stop That Train! is an red orange polish with golden shimmer. This was lovely and two coats.

Loco-Motive is a black and orange polish in a clear base. This was one coat over Stop That Train!

I liked this half of the All Aboard collection! The formula's were easy to work with, as per usual for China Glaze.

Have you picked up any from the All Aboard collection? What were your favorites?

Stardust Polish Classy Chassis, Ginned Up, & In Cahoots

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample

Today I have three polishes from Stardust Polish to share with you! Now, you see those buttons up top that disclose how I paid for or received things? Well, I'm not sure how to disclose these so I'll just type it out: I swapped for them! I was able to meet up with Drema from Stardust Polish and we swapped some polish for some of my nail polish jewelry! I felt like a pioneer :-p Anyway, I just wanted to let that be known so I could be honest and transparent about how these were acquired!

These three polishes are a slight texture and super extra gorgeous!! First is Classy Chassis, a dark red jelly with glitter. This was three coats and one coat of top coat. The second picture shows two coats of topcoat.

Ginned Up is a dark berry colored jelly. Again, this was 3 coats and two coats of topcoat.

In Cahoots is an emerald green jelly. Three coats, and two coats of top coat. Ugh, this is so pretty that I can't even stand it!

Well these are basically perfect "Amanda" colors: deep, jelly, glitters, and soooo shiny with topcoat!

You can purchase Stardust Polish here!

HPB Oct. Halloween Mani Link-Up

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's bonus post is a Link-Up with the Hobby Polish Bloggers! Not sure what that means? Well, let me tell you a little bit about the HPB! HPB is a group of bloggers who blog primarily for fun or blog more casually. It's a group that can provide feedback and support.Something that is sometimes much needed in the blogging world! The group is a positive place, and any sort of rude or snarky comments towards others are simply not welcome.

Now, I wasn't really sure what I was going to do because I'm not super into Halloween. But I knew I wanted to start with This beauty from China Glaze (and that I also received in a recent HPB swap!) so I decided to lay down the base (get it? Bahahah!) and go from there.

This is two coats of China Glaze Choo Choo Choose You from the All Aboard fall collection and it's just lovely! So much prettier in person, as I couldn't capture the color shift. It looks purple in some lights, green in others, and golden in others.

So.... what did I add to this? Guys... I pulled out the crackle. Yep. CRACKLE. I went super easy and added a coat of orange crackle and guess what? I kinda loved it. My friend Amanda (@GlitterBadass) have been saying for months that we were going to bring crackle back because we had so much of it and why not? Crackle can be cool once again!! I've since seen several bloggers crackling their manicures so they must have had the same thought!

I used Color Club Explosion which, I am ashamed to admit, was an untried. Yep. That's right. Anyway, I really like this! It looks pumpkiny without being all PUMPKIN! LOL

Check out the other HPB Halloween mani's in the InLinkz below!

Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Halloween Polishes

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Ready for some Fuzzy Coat polishes? Then keep on reading :-)

First, some real talk: I don't really like bar glitters. They just get in the way of my obsession with circle glitters. However, these bar glitters are shorter than typical bar glitters and made application and removal much easier.

Both polishes were quite dense and covered nicely in one coat!

Sally Hansen Fur-ankenstein is a black and lime green bar glitter. This is one coat over SH OMGhost.

Witch-ful Thinking is orange and black bar glitter. Again, one coat over SH OMGhost.

The Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polishes retail for $5.99 and can be found at most drugstores and retail stores.

SInfulColors Halloween Polishes

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have some Halloween SinfulColors to share with you today! There are 14 "spooktacular" shades and I have 4 and a Glow In the Dark topcoat to share with you!

In the interest of consistency, I layered one coat of each polish over Sally Hansen Pumpkin Queen, SH Night Fright, and SH OMGhost and I did use a topcoat for the swatches below.

First is Pumpkin Spice. This is a gold and red glitter in a clear base.

Next is Splatter Spell, which is black and orange flecks of assorted glitter sizes. Obviously, this looks best over the orange and white polishes :-)

Mystery Moonshine is a multi-colored confetti type of glitter.

Cauldron Couture is a green and black glitter.

This is my sad attempt at a glow in the dark manicure picture using the GITD topcoat I was sent. Rest assured, the top coat works much better than it photographs, lol.

There are 14 shades in all, and they can be found at Walgreens and Target for $1.99!

Don't forget to check out SinfulColors on Facebook and Twitter!

China Glaze Boundary of Memory

Hey guys!

                                                                                                                                Nothing To Disclose

China Glaze recently released The Giver collection and I was going to be really good and not buy any polishes from that collection but then I saw swatches of this and I was like........yep. Come to momma.

Boundary of Memory is a black, gold, brown, microglitter beauty. This was two coats, with top coat and it's just about perfect. I la-la-la-la-love this so much. Like... so much.

I am still seeing The Giver collection at my Sally's and Ulta's but I imagine it won't be around for long so check it out soon!!

NYC Midnight Beauty Collection!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today's post is a little bit different but something I'm excited about! I have some makeup to review today! New NYC makeup, to be exact! Whoo!

Now, if you follow me on Instagram, you might notice that I've become more and more into makeup recently. I've always loved the pretty packaging and colors but am finally getting more acquainted with wearing it! Great concept, right? Use the products you buy! So hopefully I will be reviewing makeup on the blog here and there. I will probably schedule those posts as weekend or Tuesday or Thursday posts and keep the nail posts MWF. Cool? Sweet!

Expert Last Lip Color ($1.99). I've never used NYC lipsticks before and THEY SMELL LIKE CHERRIES!!! WHY didn't anyone tell me this?! MMMMMMMM, so good!

Red or Alive, 1, 2, and 3 swipes (from right to left and yes, I know that's super backwards!)

Immortal Vixen - 1, 2, and 3 swipes, again right to left. This color terrified me a bit in the tube because it looks really dark but I was glad it was a little more sheer. It could definitely be built up to a more opaque color but it's nice to have the option to wear it a little more sheer, for those of us who want the beautiful color but maybe don't want to wear super vampy lips all of the time.

I wore this color one day and it was a little bit drying as it dries to a semi matte finish.

Individual Eyes Custom Compact in Hate The Night ($4.99)
These shadows are pretty basic colors, but staples that most women will want to own. I used the primer all over my eyes, let it set for about 30 seconds and then started applying shadows. I used the
All Over Lid, and lighter crease color on my eyes and the matte black crease color as an eyeliner and then the highlighter on my brow bone. They seemed quite pigmented to apply and there was almost zero fallout, which is awesome because eww fallout.

The shadows wore well throughout the day and didn't fade or blend away. I did notice some creasing by the end of the day. I have a hard time finding any eyeshadow primer that stays put as well as my Milani Eyeshadow Primer!

I do like that the plastic cover for this can be removed but also has notches in the plastic so you can easily replace it in the shadow pan when you are done using the eyeshadows. There's also a little groove for the sponge.

One swipe of each eyeshadow over the primer included in the palette.

Liquid Eyeliner ($2.99)
The applicator on this eyeliner was a brush and as someone who is not even remotely a liquid eyeliner professional, it was a little bit difficult to achieve a straight line. And the line was thicker than I would have liked.

The first line is the thinnest I could make it without wiping product off of the brush, the middle line is how it applied the most easily and the third line is after wiping product off of the brush. I did leave a swipe of this on my hand for about 5 minutes and it still smudged when I tried to wipe it off.

Okay, liquid eyeliner and I want to be friends. We do. But we're sort of frenemies right now. It's mainly my fault, I am not very patient.

You can purchase NYC Products basically everywhere... Target, Walmart, Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens. They are very affordable and a great quality for the price! I'll be checking out some more lipsticks, for sure!

Sally Hansen Halloween Collection for 2014!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have the polishes Sally Hansen is releasing for Halloween 2014! There are 4 Insta-Dri shades! Pumpkin Queen, Scaredy Matte, Omghost, and Night Fright. I decided to do some Halloween nail art with these bad boys, instead of simply swatching the colors.

I started with Night Fright, Omghost, and Pumpkin Queen, using two coats of each. These Insta-Dri polishes are insanely quick drying and I love it! They do have the wide paddle brush. I personally don't mind the brush but I know some people with smaller nail beds prefer the skinnier brushes.

I added some dots using Scaredy Matte and Pumpkin Queen over Omghost and some white stripes and dots over the other nails. You can't really see the matteness of Scaredy Matte but it did dry to a matte finish quickly.

You can purchase Sally Hansen pretty much everywhere: Target, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, Kmart, Walmart, etc.

Born Pretty Store Colorful Rhinestones Nail Art!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have another Born Pretty Store item to review for you today! Y'all ready for some rhinestones nail art??

This post is all about Item #16102 or the Colorful Rhinestone Different Shapes Nail Art Decoration For DIY if you want an easier name to refer to this product by :-)

This wheel has 11 different shapes and colors: oval, flower, skinny rectangles, butterflies, hearts, crescent moons, tear drops, squares, stars, and more! I used the skinny diamond colored rectangles for my design!

I used Bonita Rembrandt's Muse as my base and applied the studs one at a time after applying a top coat for them to adhere to. I ended up with this little chain mail situation. At least, that's what I think it looks like!

As I mentioned with the previous rhinestone post, this isn't an every day look, at least not for me. But it is fun and these rhinestones are easy to apply and definitely add some drama to your nail look!

I do have a 10% off coupon code FEL91 on any item on the BPS.com store so definitely check that out!

Born Pretty Store Black Flat Nail Rhinestones

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have another Born Pretty Store item to review for you today! Y'all ready for some rhinestone nail art??

This post is all about Item #16103 or the Black Flat-back Round Rhinestone Nail Art Decoration if you want an easier name to refer to this product by :-)

I used Bonita Rembrandt's Muse as my base color and applied one rhinestone to the top of each nail bed, after applying a coat of top coat so the rhinestones had something to stick to. After applying each rhinestone, I sealed everything with a top coat.

These are very fun studs/stones for nail art. I can't see me wearing these for an everyday thing, as they did stick up quite a bit but for a special look or occasion, these black rhinestones are very fun!

I do have a 10% off coupon code FEL91 on any item on the BPS.com store so definitely check that out!

Born Pretty Store Nail Stickers

Hey guys!
                                                                                                                     Press Sample Affiliate Link

I have some Born Pretty Store items to share with you! Yay for easy nail art!

I'm going to start with these Silver Hollowed Out 3D Decoration. I got a little excited about the stickers and remembered to photograph the package after I already used them. Whoops!

I used some nail art tweezers to remove the sticker from the packaging and placed the design on my nail. My nails were completely dry and a top coat had been applied. I also applied another coat of top coat to help seal the stickers to the nail.

These were super cute and easy to apply. However, they peeled up almost immediately. I haven't had the opportunity to try these again, without the first layer of top coat. I am hoping that will fix the peeling up problem.

Don't forget to use coupon code FEL91 on any www.bornprettystore.com purchase to save 10%
