Brand Blast: Black Dahlia Week!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I'm going to have another Brand Blast this week, featuring Black Dahlia Lacquer! BDL is an indie based in Texas and they have some beautiful polishes!

Let's start this week with Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, a light green crelly with green, gold, and blue flakies. This was 2 easy coats, plus topcoat.

Unfortunately, this polish is no longer available, as it was a limited edition Earth Day release. Whoops.

Nine Zero Holiday Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the Nine Zero Lacquer Holiday Collection to share with you! I'm writing this on Thursday evening after much food so let's just get to the pictures, lol!!

Santa Suit is a red jelly with ultra micro gold holographic glitter. This is surprisingly opaque for a jelly and covered in two coats, plus topcoat.

Star On Top is a gold holographic microglitter. This is soooooooo sparkly and fantastic in person. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Twinkle Lights is silver holographic with semi-transparent rainbow glitter. I used 3 coats for this, plus topcoat. I only used one coat of topcoat but a second (or a thicker topcoat) might have been beneficial to smooth everything out.

Stocking Stuffer is a white, red, grene, and silver glitter topper. This is super dense and covers really well. I applied one coat over Star on Top because let's be real, I don't do anything demure and HOLO ALL THE THINGS! I did forget to add topcoat to this and that is needed, for sure.

Cat In The Christmas Tree is a pine green jelly with ultra micro gold holographic glitter. Simply gorgeous!! 2 coats, plus topcoat.

A Peculiar Star is dark blue jelly with blue holographic glitter. This was opaque in two coats, plus topcoat. This one was a bit gritty so a second topcoat would be needed to smooth everything out.

So yeah I basically love all of these and if you haven't tried Nine Zero Lacquer yet, I recommend ordering some on Monday, as Jess is running a 20% sale! Use code CYBERMONDAY20!!

Pahlish Radiation of the Sands

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Just a quick swatch of one of the few Pahlish's that I own: Radiation of the Sands. I received this in a swap recently and had to put it to the top of the Must Wear list. This is such a beautiful color and the gold flakies add to the depth of the color. I can't find my notes but I am pretty sure this was 2 coats with topcoat.

Have you tried Pahlish? What are your favorites?

Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Foods

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are discussing our favorite foods and I thought it was perfect to showcase some of my favorite Thanksgiving foods and well look at that, I just so happened to have the new Nine Zero Lacquer Thanksgiving Trio!

Turkey Coma is a copper linear holographic. This was very very close to being a one coat polish, but I did two, plus topcoat.

Cranberry Sauced is a red jelly base with holographic gold micoglitter. This had a very nice coverage for a jelly; this is two coats, plus topcoat.

Stuffed is a gold holographic microglitter with "warm seasonal glitters mixed in", basically a holographic masterpiece. This was 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Fun fact about me: Cranberry sauce is my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, as weird as that sounds. I can totally skip turkey but I want all of the side dishes, starting with cranberry sauce!

What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish??

Nvr Enuff Polish Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have 3 polishes from Nvr Enuff Polish to share with you! These are my first experience with this brand, so let's see how they turned out!

Universary is a blurple (blueish purple) polish loaded with silver flakies and holo microglitter. This was easy to apply, and was opaque in two coats, plus topcoat.

Interstellar is a...well, I actually don't know how to describe this. It is sort of a foil but not really. It looks to be made of a ton of micro micro micro flakies? I'm really not sure, lol. It's pretty, whatever its composition! This was 3 thin coats, plus topcoat. Easy to apply, with a nice formula.

Eat My Unicorn Dust is a mauvey peach scattered holo. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. Easy to apply, nice formula.

Have you tried Nvr Enuff Polish before? What are your faves??

Round 18 Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time for another Bestie Twin Nails with my buddy Alain from The Little Canvas. You know the drill: let's get to the good stuff. For this month, we were inspired by this post by Alonda Loves Polish.

I used my trusty Zoya's, starting with a base of Zoya Brittany from the Satin collection, which covered nicely in two coats. Then I striped Raven, added Tomoko in the middle and then zig zagged more Raven. Finally, I dotted and striped some Purity on for the accents. Slapped some matte top coat on and boom. BTN'd!

Whatchu think, gurrlll???

(I'm kinda of distracted and tired right now, lol!!!)

Brand Blast: Love, Angeline Week!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time for another Brand Blast, which is a week long feature of one of my favorites brands. This week, we are looking at Love, Angeline. Her Harmonious Gemstones are seriously gorgeous and this week, I have some polishes from her Let's Grab a Drink collection, a collection of matte shimmers. Guys. STUNNING. Each polish was more beautiful than the next. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

The first polish is Shandy, a golden yellow matte polish with gold shimmer.  I used two coats here but it was very very very close to being opaque in 1 coat.

Without topcoat:

With Topcoat:

Ummm yeah. In love. Have you tried Love, Angeline before? What are your favorite polishes from her brand?

Carpe Noctem Cosmetics Ice Fishing On the Amazon is a dark green scattered holo. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. It had a nice formula and no issues.

Nine Zero Opening Day Duo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the Nine Zero Lacquer Opening Day Duo, which is unfortunately no longer available for purchase. Whoops. I keep doing that to you guys, and I don't mean to be a tease with these pretty polishes!

The first polish is called Now You See Me... and is a bright orange and I feel like in person I see the tiniest tinge of coral in this polish. This was 2 coats. It was a little thick and I would say the second coat should be done quickly and carefully.

...Now You Don't is the camo glitter topper. This has green, gold, and copper metallic glitter in a clear base. I got a lot of glitter out but the base to glitter ratio was just about perfect and I didn't need to fish or move the glitters around much at all. One coat of topcoat was also sufficient.

So while these particular polishes aren't available for purchase any longer, you can head over to Nine Zero at 11am EST tomorrow (11/13/15) and order the Thanksgiving Trio, Holiday Collection, and the new Silver and Gold toppers!

I have a Mystery Polish from Stardust Polish for a quick NOTD post. This is Mystery Holo #3, a lovely pearly holograph. This was 2 thin coats.

And as always, this was wayyyyy more holographic in the sunlight but alas, I paint my nails at night, lol.

Do you like mystery polishes? I don't usually purchase mysteries, but I have from Drema a few times and am always happy with my purchases!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Your Child/Pet

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are doing manicures inspired by our children/pets, etc. If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat (fashionfooting for both :p), you might have noticed that my 2 year old daughter is slightly obsessed with Disney's Cars movies. So I had to do something to recreate that on my nails!

I started with 2 coats of Zoya's Elisa, a glowy red.

Then I used a lightning bolt nail vinyl and used Zoya Darcy for the yellow. Not really completely indicative of Lightning McQueen but it's quite frankly all I had the energy for, lol. Also, the cut above my ring finger was a real pain in the butt while I was swatching and such.

Check out the other Twinsies posts to see what they were inspired by!

Charlies' Rad Lacquer Oopsie Neon

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Just a quick post today to show you this Oopsie Neon Orange from Charlie's Rad Lacquer. This is my first CRL, and was sent to my by my biffle, Amanda.

I am assuming this is a one off, as it's called Oopsie Neon, lol. This was 2 coats, and had a nice formula! The holo obviously isn't as noticeable inside as it would be outside but was more apparent than this picture is showing, lol.

Have you tried Charlie's Rad Lacquer before?? And more importantly, do you love orange holo? Because I do!!

Colores de Carol Fall Holos - My Picks!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have my picks from the Fall 2015 Colores De Carol collection! Let's just get to it, shall we?

Shale is a greenish, bronzeish holo with platinum microflakes. This was 2 coats plus topcoat. The formula was really really good. I would say thick but not at all difficult to work with!

Obsidian is black holo with the same platinum silver flakes. This was almost opaque in one coat but I used two to cover the tiniest bare spots, plus topcoat. Another great formula!

Granite is a silver holographic polish with platinum flakes and rainbow holographic microglitter. umm how sparkly and beautiful is this?! I used 3 coats but it was so so close to being opaque in 2 coats. I only used one coat of topcoat for this polish and it smoothed out nicely.

Have you tried Colores de Carol? She's been on a roll releasing collections lately and her brand is very quickly becoming one of my favorites! <3

Native War Paints Cozy Sweater Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the rest of the Native War Paints Cozy Sweater collection to show you today! Let's get to it! I will say that these all dry a bit matte so you'll want a topcoat to make them shine.

Cable Knit Sweater is a dark charcoal grey polish with gold shimmer. This was one coat, if you can believe that! Plus topcoat! The formula was very nice, super easy to apply!

Cashmere Sweater is berry pink with gold shimmer. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. Again, another nice formula.

My Favorite Sweater HDF (Holo, Duochrome, Flakie) is a teal holo with green flakies and gold shimmer. 2 coats, plus topcoat.

I think my favorite is My Favorite Sweater; the added flakies are just so pretty in the teal base!

Twinsie Tuesday: Favorite Movie

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are discussing our favorite movies. I have lots of favorite movies so I wasn't really sure what to pick and had to pinterest search for some of the movies I was thinking about and then I realized that I only needed to search for one movie: Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken. I love this movie and have seen it about 100 times. This is based on a true story of Sonora Webster, and takes place during the Depression. Sonora's dream is to make it to Atlantic City, "where all your dreams come true". Long story short, she ends up becoming a High Diving Girl, which used horses and riders to dive off a tall platform into a giant pool of water, through her basically crazy stubborn attitude and perseverance. And then more things happen but I won't spoil the movie.

ANYWAY.... I decided to draw a horse!

BAHAHAHH! Just kidding. OMG can you imagine? I can't even fathom how that would turn out, lmao!!!

Okay so really I drew inspiration from the giant tub that the horses and riders dove into for my manicure.

For the white, my pal My Boyfriend Scales Walls was applied, and then I used some nail vinyls in the hopes that my lines would be supah straight and OPI's Incognito In Sausalito. Well, the intention was for the lines to be super straight but whatever. LOL

PUR Cosmetics Eye Polishes - Swatches and Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have swatches of the new PUR Cosmetics Eye Polishes! These have an all-in-one formula that act as a primer and shadow in one. Each eye polish comes with a silicone applicator to help apply color evenly, while minimizing excess.

The shadows come in 6 shades: Caviar, Velvet, Silk, Cashmere, Satin, and Suede. Let's look at some swatches and I have a few Face of the Day pictures to show you at the end!

Caviar is an olive green with gold shimmer.

Velvet is a beautiful plum with fuchsia shimmer.

Silk is an apricot with champagne shimmer.

Cashmere is a champagne pearl. This eye polish had a thinner consistency than the other colors when it was swatched but it applied just fine when applying to the eyelid.

Satin is a pale pink pearl.

Suede is a bronze pearl.

I used all of these and really enjoyed them! The texture was different, sort of like a whipped, thin mousse-y consistency. I was worried they would be really wet and take forever to dry but that was not the case! They applied smoothly and evening and were blendable but also didn't feel wet.

This is look using Velvet:

And here is Caviar.

Have you tried the Pur Cosmetics Eye Polishes yet? What do you think??

These retail for $26 each. Pur Cosmetics is available at Ulta or via their website.
