Love, Angeline Swatches

Hey guys!

                                                                                                                                 Nothing To Disclose

Ya know how sometimes you just suddenly become enchanted with one brand and quickly accumulate quite a few of their polishes? That's what's happening with me and Love, Angeline right now! I'm very quickly growing my Love, Angeline stash! I thought I would share some of my recent purchases with you today!

First is Operation Sun (which is no longer available, sorry!). This is a lovely sheer mustard yellow. I used 3 coats here, no top coat.

Next are a few from her Welcome to the Tea Party collection. First, Ruffles, Lace, & High Heels, which is a beautiful scattered holographic. 2 coats, no top coat.

And here's Jasmine Tea, a white crelly with pink, aqua, turquoise, and purple glitters. This is 2 coats, no top coat.

Finally, Sinking Flora from the Rainforest of the Sea collection. This is a light teal scattered holographic polish. 2 coats.

I definitely recommend checking out Love, Angeline. Her collections are fun and her colors are pretty and unique!

Talk to you soon!

Aliquid Lacquer Two Pleasant Peninsula's Collection!

Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose

Well since I'm from Michigan, I obviously had to have the Aliquid Lacquer Two Pleasant Peninsulas collection! The descriptions I will be using are from the Aliquid Lacquer website.

The formula's on all of these were very good; Wolverine Loves Spartan was a little thick but it's also packed with glitters in a crelly base.

Do you like my beautiful nail polishing mat? LOL!

Wolverines Love Spartan - 3 coats. This was a little thick due to the glitters and my impatience in waiting between coats :-) I did use a top coat with this polish.
This polish combines the colors of Michigan's two largest universities, Michigan State and the University of Michigan. They may be rivals in real life, but they work together in perfect harmony on your nails!

Wolverine Loves Spartan is a white crelly with matte green, blue and yellow hexes.

Petoskey Stone - 2 coats
Inspired by Michigan's state stone!
Petoskey Stone is a warm grey with green, gold and brown shimmers, plus holographic sparkle.

People of Three Fires - 2 coats
This polish is named for the alliance of three closely related Algonquian tribes native to Michigan and neighboring areas: the Ojibwe, Ottawa and Potawatomi. These peoples developed a pictographic writing system to record their history, myths, and medicinal recipes, which continue to be passed on to the next generation.

People of the Three Fires is a brick red polish with sparkles of blue, purple and red.

Cherry Festival - 2 coats
Michigan produces more sour cherries than any other U.S. state (sour cherries are the kind used in pies and preserves). Every July, Traverse City holds a cherry festival that attracts over 500,000 visitors!
Cherry Festival is a bubblegum pink crelly with red and silver-green hexes, plus gold shimmer and flecks.

I'm Heading Strait to Mackinac - 2 coats
The two peninsulas of Michigan are separated by the narrow Straits of Mackinac, where Lakes Michigan and Huron meet. The Mackinac Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, connects the two halves of the state. One of Michigan's top tourist attractions, Mackinac Island, lies just a few miles from the bridge. Also... fudge! SO much delicious fudge in Mackinaw City and on Mackinac Island!
I'm Heading Strait to Mackinac is a serene blue polish with a soft holographic effect and flecks of green, blue and silver.

Yooper - 3 coats
Inspired by the wild forests, cold lakes and mountains of the Upper Peninsula. "Yooper" is an affectionate term for residents of "the U.P."
Yooper is a dark green jelly full of flecks of green, blue, gold and brown, plus holographic sparkle.

Lake Michigan Sunset - 3 coats
Lake Michigan Sunset is a sheer slate grey polish with flecks of gold, orange and pink. This polish was inspired by a photograph Alison took on a family vacation.

Motor City - 3 coats
An homage to Detroit, home of the automobile and Motown music!
Motor City is a black jelly with lots of metallic and holographic circles and squares in various sizes, plus silver flakes.

I really loved this collection. As I get older, I am loving my state and appreciating it more than I used to. Michigan sometimes gets a bad reputation (particularly Flint and Detroit) but it truly is a beautiful state to live, visit, or vacation in! So yay Aliquid Lacquer/Alison for creating a lovely collection to showcase the beauty and history of my state :-)

Love, Angeline Harmonious Gemstones Collection!

Hey guys! Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the Love, Angeline Harmonious Gemstones collection for you!

These micro glitters have holographic bits throughout and are drop dead gorgeous. They were all 2 coats, plus my trusty HK Girl Top coat. I would recommend using a top coat, as they are smooth when dry but the topcoat just brings these beautiful polishes to life!

Rose Concerto

Chord of Emeralds

A Symphony of Blackened Diamonds

Lapis Ensemble

Orchestrated Amethyst (this picture was taking the next day after applying, hence the 'not as shiny' appearance)

Overall, these were completely beautiful polishes. They were very easy to apply and all had very nice formula's. I don't even know that I can pick a favorite; they are all gorgeous!

You can purchase Love, Angeline polishes here. There are a few of these left in her shop after this weekend's restock, AND you can pre-order four new Harmonious Gemstone colors!! <3

Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose

Alaina from The Little Canvas and I are at it again! This round of BTN is an homage to one of our favorite TV shows, Psych on USA. Psych ended in the spring but it will live in infamy on Netflix and TV on DVD/Blu-ray forever :-)

If you watch the show, you probably know they hide a pineapple in every episode. It's totally a random thing but so funny to spot. So we decided to use the pineapple as our inspiration!

I used China Glaze Gaga for Green and Lemon Fizz, and OPI MBSW and WnW Black. I definitely need to get some better nail art brushes but I quite liked these! Of course, as soon as I finished, I messed up the pineapple on my middle finger but pineapples aren't perfect, right?? :-)

I'm thoroughly enjoying these monthly Bestie Twin Nails, and I hope that you guys are as well!! Do you have any suggestions for BTN you would like to see??

And of course, go check out Alaina's nails because they are fabulous!!

Starrily Dunk Me Maybe

Hey guys!

This post is about Starrily!

When I saw black and white circle glitter, I had to have it. I didn't even fully inspect the polish to notice that there was donut glitter in the mix! LOL

Dunk Me Maybe, one coat over Wet n Wild Love Me Some Muscles. I'm not the biggest fan of donut glitter, but ya'll know how I feel about circle glitter so I will have to live with the donuts. MMmmm.. donuts....

This is going to be a great topper over so many colors, i need to play with it some more!

Have you tried Starrily yet? They have an awesome Custom option on their website!

Pretty & Polished Hootin' and Holoing

Hey guys!

I am not the world's biggest lover of red nail polish but I am always on a quest for a fabulous linear TRUE RED holographic nail polish. When I saw pictures of this polish from Pretty & Polished, I knew that I had to have it. While it is not as linear and in yo' face as I was hoping, it's still what I would call a true red holographic polish and those seem to be rather rare, for some reason.

This is two coats, in direct sunlight.

I mean... it's pretty sexy, right??

Studio M Glitter Astral

Hey guys!

Do you like HOT PINK? Well you're going to like this polish, then!
Today's polish is Studio M Glitter Astral, a BRIGHT neon pink with silver shimmer/glitter. I used 2 coats, no top coat. Look at how shiny this is!! Gah, I love this. So bright and the perfect Barbie pink!

Studio M is available at Meijer and is owned by Color Club, so a lot of the Studio M colors are repromotes of CC colors, but at $2.99 a pop!

GlitterDaze Hook Line And Kiss Me and Rolling In The Bay

Hey guys!

Today I have a few polishes from GlitterDaze to share with you! GlitterDaze just recently rebranded a bit and released some new polishes! I forgot to take a picture of the boxes the polishes come in now, but it is stinking ADORABLE! Pink with gold letters. Ugh, so cute!

Anyway, on to the polishes. First up is Hook Line and Kiss Me, a coral creme. This was 3 thin coats. The formula on these was good, I didn't have any issues at all.

And then Rolling In The Bay. This was also 3 coats and this is photographing brighter than it was in real life. It was a lighter, dusty purple but since purples are a jerk and never photo accurately, this is the best I could do :-/

Be sure to check out GlitterDaze's website!

Enchanted Polish June 2014

Hey guys!

Enchanted Polish is like the unicorn tears/pee/sweat of the polish world. The restocks are almost non existent, and the preorders are only for one hour at completely random times. I purchased the mystery May, June, and July colors, not knowing if I would like them enough to keep them and then I opened June and gasped.

People. This is one coat. ONE COAT. *dead*
With flash.

Fluorescent light:

Ummm yeah. Gorgeous and amazing.

What are your favorite Enchanted Polishes?
