Formula X #SystemAddict

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have the Formula X #SystemAddict system from Influenster to share with you.

There are 4 steps to the System Addict system, beginning with the Cleanse XCEL. "Start your mani with a clean slate, and instantly prep the surface of nails for optimal polish application. Specifically formulated to be used as Step 1 of Formula X's gel-like mani set, The System XCEL™, this nail cleanser is the essential salon product. CLEANSE XCEL's exclusive flash-dry formula gently removes invisible oil and residue from the nail in an instant, giving the nail surface the ultimate canvas for polish application and adherence. Featuring Formula X's redesigned Xpert Strokes™ Brush for a faster, smoother application, CLEANSE XCEL is infused with witch hazel extract to purify the nail surface, and a fusion of cucumber extract and safflower seed oil to help condition the nail bed while leaving nails completely dry to the touch."

Prime XCEL is the base coat. "Prep, protect, and help polish stick. This multitasking base coat primes nails for the ultimate long-lasting mani. Specifically formulated to be used as the second step of Formula X's gel-like mani set The System XCEL™, PRIME XCEL is formulated with advanced bonding agents and keratin to form a sticky layer that helps bind color to the nail, letting polish take hold stronger and longer, improving overall polish performance. With Formula X's innovative Xpert Strokes™ Brush, redesigned for faster, smoother application, PRIME XCEL also acts as a protective barrier, standing between you and your polish to prevent staining. "

TGIF is the color I was sent, a fun, bright coral. This was 2 coats. The formula is a bit thick but very manageable. I topped it with the Shine XCEL Top coat. "Make your mani last with a gel-like finish. Shine - Nail Top Coat is formulated to be used as Step 4 of Formula X's gel-like mani set, The System XCEL™. This advanced, acrylic-fortified top coat dries 45 percent faster than before, sealing in your nail polish color with glossy, gel-like protection so that your mani stays vibrant and shiny day after day. When used as part of The System XCEL, SHINE XCEL instantly elevates any Formula X nail color with the ultimate high shine and cushion-like volume of gel polish, just by layering, for up to 10 days of wear. It includes Formula X's innovative, Xpert Strokes™ Brush, redesigned for faster, smoother application."

NYC New York Color Expert Last Matte Lipcolor

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Happy JUNE!! Holy moly. The year is half over. WHAT?!?!?! I can't even think about that right now....

NYC New York Color has just released some new matte lipsticks that are a mixture of matte and satin. The formula claims to last for up to 6 hours and not feather or bleed. I was lucky enough to be sent two of the new colors to try out so let's take a look!

First of all... OH MY GOSH these smell amazing. Like "I want to bite off this lipstick bullet and chew on this delicious candy smelling thing" amazing. Seriously. But you probably shouldn't chew on lipstick and I'm not encouraging that behavior.

The colors I was sent are Velvety Fuchsia and Pure Coral so let's take a look!

Velvety Fuchsia is a raspberry color.

Pure Coral is a bright coral pink.

Velvety Fuchsia and Pure Coral

These are really comfortable to wear and apply nicely. They don't feel drying on the lips at all. I did not wear them for 6 hours to test how long they last (NOTHING lasts as long as it claims on me anyway...).

I would definitely check these out, I'm going to look for some other colors, for sure!

NYC New York Color can be found at mass retailers nationwide. These lipsticks retail for $1.99!

Maybelline Color Show Rebel Bloom Polishes

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the Maybelline Rebel Bloom LE polishes to share with you today! There were also striper polishes in the display but I did not purchase those, although they were lovely.

These polishes almost act like jellies, but aren't quite. They are more sheer than a regular creme polish but not sheer enough for me to consider them a jelly.

Fiery Tulip is a bright fuchsia color and this is really so beautiful. I feel like this is a different color than I have in my collection and I just love it. This was 2 coats, and you can still see a little bit of visible nail line (VNL).

Rose Candy is another bright polish, this was a BRIGHT neon pinky coral color. Again with two coats.

Purple Madness is a dark purple, almost indigo purple color. This was 2 coats and was more opaque than the other polishes. Love this color too!

Beach Blossom is a pink toned nude. This was a little sheer, so I used three coats. But I still liked this color, more than I thought I would.

What do you guys think? I almost didn't buy these because of the whole "low buy" (pssh, ha!) but I decided to just buy them anyway. Part of me was terrified there would be another Bleached Neons debacle and I couldn't bear to deal with that situation again.

I'm really glad to own these, they are fun summer colors and the formula's were nice on all of the polishes.

Have you spotted these polishes yet? Did you pick any up?

Starrily Dunk Me Maybe

Hey guys!

This post is about Starrily!

When I saw black and white circle glitter, I had to have it. I didn't even fully inspect the polish to notice that there was donut glitter in the mix! LOL

Dunk Me Maybe, one coat over Wet n Wild Love Me Some Muscles. I'm not the biggest fan of donut glitter, but ya'll know how I feel about circle glitter so I will have to live with the donuts. MMmmm.. donuts....

This is going to be a great topper over so many colors, i need to play with it some more!

Have you tried Starrily yet? They have an awesome Custom option on their website!

GlitterDaze Hook Line And Kiss Me and Rolling In The Bay

Hey guys!

Today I have a few polishes from GlitterDaze to share with you! GlitterDaze just recently rebranded a bit and released some new polishes! I forgot to take a picture of the boxes the polishes come in now, but it is stinking ADORABLE! Pink with gold letters. Ugh, so cute!

Anyway, on to the polishes. First up is Hook Line and Kiss Me, a coral creme. This was 3 thin coats. The formula on these was good, I didn't have any issues at all.

And then Rolling In The Bay. This was also 3 coats and this is photographing brighter than it was in real life. It was a lighter, dusty purple but since purples are a jerk and never photo accurately, this is the best I could do :-/

Be sure to check out GlitterDaze's website!

Barielle Sweet Treats Collection

Hey guys!
Press Sample

I have some Barielle polishes and a treatment to share with you today!

The Barielle Hydrating Ridge Filling Base Coat is just what I need. Some of my nails are quite ridgey (ridgey? Sure, we'll go with that!) and it is visible when wearing polish. I don't think my nails are brittle but they definitely have some ridges so I was curious to see how this base coat worked to help mask that problem. This ridge filler has silk protein fibers that help to smooth ridges and moisturize nail beds.

It is a milky color, and dries to what looks like a matte finish on the nails. It dried very quickly and I was able to apply my nail color within no time at all. On my left index finger, I have more ridges than my other nails so I applied two coats to that nail.

Green Apple Chew is the brightest of the bunch. I used 2 easy coats of this lime green polish.

Banana Drop is a creamy banana yellow. This covered very well for a yellow; I did two coats!

Lilac Jelly Bean is a dusty lilac purple. This was my second favorite! So pretty. Perfect for fall but not dark and vampy like so many fall shades.

Blue Cotton Candy is the most pigmented of this group. I could have gotten away with one coat but I did use two, partially out of habit and partially just to be sure it was completely opaque. This was my favorite, that color just screams "Amanda!" This description on the Barielle website calls this a "frosted opalescent sea blue" but I would not call this a frost polish at all. There is definitely shimmer but not at all frosty.

Orange Parfait is an orangey coral. This reminds me of a desert orange. I really liked this!

Overall, these were very lovely polishes to be able to use. They swatched nicely, dried fairly quickly, and the formulas on all of the polishes were very easy to work with. I have several other Barielle shades and I don't use them as often as I should! They are lovely!

You can purchase Barielle nail polish on their website. Individual bottles retail for $4 each (a steal!) or you can purchase color collections for $25. There are also a bunch of hand and foot treatments, creams, and lotions on the website!

Kind of a simple color and not terribly unique but still really pretty!

Maybelline Bleached Neons

Hey guys!

So you might have heard of a little collection by Maybelline called The Bleached Neons. The collection has caused hysteria in the polish community, as it was super limited edition and hardly available in a lot of locations. I managed to find a few of them here and there and figured they were too pretty to not show you, even if you (more than likely) won't be able to find them. Sorry.

First, Citrus Collide. This is a really lovely creamy yellow. These polishes seem to be almost pastel neons, if that's at all possible! This was 3 coats.

Next, Coral Heat, a beautiful coral. This is probably my favorite. 2 coats.

Finally, Pink Punch, a bright, but muted bubblegum pink. I know it doesn't make sense to say bright and muted but that's really how they looked to me! LOL This was 2 coats, as well.

I first saw these polishes (saw the full, untouched collection, actually) and didn't pick any up because they didn't look that great in the bottle. But then I started seeing swatches and could have kicked myself for not buying them! They all have great formulas, and are just lovely, fun colors for summer!

Did you manage to find any of the Bleached Neons? If so, which was your favorite??

These all applied very easily and smoothly. They had a nice consistency and there was no dragging or pooling.

Schrammi is a deep coral with golden shimmer. This was 3 thin coats.

I am not new to Rainbow Honey so I was fully expecting a wonderful product and this set did not disappoint.
