Rainbow Honey Summer Mix Tape Swatches!

Hey guys!
*polishes provided for free in exchange for my honest opinion*

Today's post is all about Rainbow Honey! I have three polishes from the upcoming Summer Mixtape collection! Oh man, remember mix tapes? Those were the days. I loved making mixes for car trips, or even just to play on the way to work. I still make playlists for road trips, just on my iPhone ;-) One of the first interactions my husband and I had was over a mixed CD he made for me; I swear that was 'his move' to initiate conversation but he denies this :-p

ANYWAY, onto the polishes!

Fall In Love, a cool toned crimson red jelly with sparks of blue iridescence. This looked a little more magenta/berry in person. I used 2 coats. The formula was easy to apply.

Control, a hot shimmering fuchsia. The formula on this was a bit thick but nothing unmanageable. I used two coats. Super bright Barbie pink with shimmer!!

Lanterns, a luminescent blend of iridescent and translucent glitters. I used one coat over Fall in love and Control. I think this will look especially great over darker colors, as well!

With Flash over Fall In Love:

Over Control:

Overall, I loved these polishes. These are perfect "Amanda" colors and I will definitely be using these for the summer! I can't wait to see the rest of the collection!

These polishes along with the rest of the collection are available on July 18 from rainbowhoney.com! Use code MIXTAPE20 to get 20% off your order! Hurry, this code expires 8/31/14!

Rainbow Honey Swatches

Hey guys!
*Products were provided for honest review*

Today I have 5 Rainbow Honey polishes to show you! Two of these are the top glitters from 2013, one is an unreleased glitter, and two are from the Sweet Talk collection! Let's get to it, shall we?

All photos are with flash and are two coats, unless otherwise noted. Sorry about the flash but I have to swatch at night when my husband can wrangle the baby, lol.

First, Be Mine, from the Sweet Talk collection.  A really pretty light pink with gold flecks of shimmer.

Next, XOXO, one coat over Be Mine.

Papillon, a pink glitter with holographic butterfly glitters! This is one coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Next, The Kraken. Trust me, this is so much prettier in person! I love these blue colors and the green glitter is just lovely.

Finally, Summer Blossom. This is one coat with placed flowers over Be Mine. The flowers weren't bad to fish out.

Rainbow Honey The Final Battle Swatches

Hey guys!

I have a quick post for you today! As this is a review, I wanted to make sure to post it as soon as possible :-)

I have three of the polishes from the new Rainbow Honey The Final Battle fall collection to share with you today!

The Final Battle brings us 15 new shades inspired by Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII.

First, Phoenix Down, over Essie Cashmere Bathrobe. This was two coats. I initially did just one coat and that was sufficient but wanted a little more of the white glitters so I added a second.

Phoenix Down is described as "full or orange, red, white and iridescent glitters, always have this at the ready to revive your worn down manicure".

Tidal wave, 3 coats.

"This murky aqua base is filled with holographic glitters and the effercescent shimmer of the great Leviathan's scales".

Ultimate Weapon, 2 coats. Wow, this was so much more fantastic than I was anticipating!

"A blackened violet with a bright blue shimmer".

As always, I love these polishes. Rainbow Honey is definitely one of my favorite indies and I love the collections they release!

You can purchase Rainbow Honey on their website.

Review: Rainbow Honey Summer of 199X Polishes

*Products were sent for my honest review*

Hey guys!

I was sent 3 mini's from the brand spanking new Rainbow Honey Summer of 199X collection that is available for purchase NOW! Whooo!

The Summer of 199X is inspired by the 1995 SNES video game Earthbound. Now... honestly, I have no idea about this video game but I do love these colors! LOL So I will be using Rainbow Honey's descriptions of the polishes.

Let's get to the polishes! All of these polishes had a good formula and I had no troubles with glitter placement. All swatches are with no base or top coat.

First up, Tiny Ruby, "a shimmering red ruby jelly that is filled with holographic glitters, glistening flecks, and the rarest jewels of Dalaam."

I used two coats here over Pretty & Polished Marilyn.

Next, The Kraken. "A marine jelly with a blue and green glow filled with glitters, shimmer, and the sea monster's ow holographic Crashing Boom Bang!"

This was 3 coats.

Finally, Lumine Hall. "A dark indigo jelly glistening with the iridescent glitters and shimmers of your deepest thoughts..."

3 coats.

I adore these colors, and I'm definitely going to be ordering a few of the other glitters from this collection.

The Summer of 199X is available at www.rainbowhoney.com and participating retailers around the world. You can purchase the collection as a full-size set, mini set, or individual bottles.

Review - Rainbow Honey Fab Summer Set

*Products were sent for my honest review*

Hey guys!

Today I'm reviewing the new Summer Set exclusive to Fab from Rainbow Honey.

"The Fab Summer Set is as refreshing as a cold sip of freshly squeezed lemonade. This set of three includes a dazzling array of shimmering polishes: kelly green, deep coral, and a sparkly lacuqer that glitters with holographic flecks. Paint yourself in a beautiful new light. - Fab"

These all applied very easily and smoothly. They had a nice consistency and there was no dragging or pooling.

Tenda, a bright kelly green with gold shimmer. This was 3 thin coats.

Costa del Sol over Tenda. This gold shimmering lacquer with iridescent and holographic glitters will add sun and sparkle to your manicure! 1 coat.

Schrammi is a deep coral with golden shimmer. This was 3 thin coats.

Costa del Sol over Schrammi, 1 coat.

I am not new to Rainbow Honey so I was fully expecting a wonderful product and this set did not disappoint.

The FAB Summer Set is now available through fab.com for a limited time only. Each set contains 3 full size 15ml lacquers designed exclusively for FAB by Rainbow Honey. The set is $25, while supplies last.

Julep Ally with Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler

Hey guys!

Anyone have any fun weekend plans? We should probably do some yard work and I definitely have a backlog of photos I need to edit and upload but it's supposed to be gorgeous so we will see what actually gets done, lol!

Julep Ally, from the April Maven box (don't ask me which one I picked, I have no idea. I wanna say It Girl...??) is a BRIGHT blue creme-ish shimmer?? Kind of in between a foil and shimmer... a shimmoil?? I don't know. This was 3 coats. It applied very nicely, but there was a stronger smell than I'm used to from Julep. I don't know if it's just this color or I'm crazy or what... just something I thought I would mention.

Anyway, I'm pretty much in love with this vibrant blue!

Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler added some lovely rainbow glitter over Ally. 2 coats of 20% Cooler.

Rainbow Honey Chrono Cross Collection

Hey guys! Almost Friday, whoohoo! And holy moly it's November!!!

Today I have the recently released Chrono Cross collection from Rainbow Honey. This collection is inspired by a video game from 1999. I have no idea about this video game but I like glitter so that's all that matters :-)

Snake Eyes over Wet n Wild Poison Ivy. Snake Eyes is a seafoam green, with magenta, purple, gold, and dark green glitter. This is 2 coats of Snake Eyes.

The God of Destiny over Sally Hansen CSM Plum Luck. Made up of black, blue, gold, and green glitters, this is perfect for layering. I used two coats here; I don't know that it would build to opacity very easily but it's lovely over Plum Luck!

Frozen Flame, 1 coat over Sation Sun Worship-he. Frozen Flame is gold and silver 'tinsel glitter', or bar glitter, with orange and blue microglitter.

Siren Song, 3 coats. A pale aqua color,, loaded with blue microglitter and larger gold hex glitter. This would be lovely layered over a darker color, I'm sure!

Unstealable Jewel , 2 coats over NOPI Others Pale by Kim-parison. Pink and silver microglitter, with silver diamond chunky glitter! Very feminine and pretty!

Lunairetic, 2 coats over Catrice Run Forest Run! This baby has red, gold, purple, and magenta glitter with bigger chunks of silver holo diamond shaped glitter.

I think my favorite from this collection is probably Lunairetic and The God Of Destiny, but that probably doesn't surprise you, if you know anything about my penchant for glitters!

Rainbow Honey can be purchased through their website.
