No. 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray! Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have a hair care product to show you today! I don't often talk about a lot of hair products because my hair is kind of strong-willed and does what it wants, and that is usually.... nothing, lol! I have super thick, but super fine and straight hair and product just doesn't seem to hold! Hair spray, texture spray, a curl won't hold... etc., etc. you get the idea! But I'm always interested to try new hair products because I cannot be the only person with thick, but fine and straight hair! Something has to work, right??

No. 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray is a great alternative to typical salt sprays.

I sprayed the product through my hair and then blow dried my 'do. I mean, definitely some volume was added to my hair! I thought about leaving it this way because I cannot lie.... I was digging the Jimmy Neutron bang lol!

Alas, I didn't leave it that way and styled my hair as I usually do, which is basically just brushing it out.

The volume held pretty well throughout the day. My hair is VERY heavy because it's so thick but by the end of the day, I still had some decent volume in my hair.

A sugar spray is a great alternative to a salt spray for several reasons, and I'm going to tell you why:

- Sugar sprays are moisturizing
- They don't strip your hair of essential oils and hair color, which causes dry and brittle hair
- Sugar sprays can also help strengthen your hair!

Have you tried No.4 products before? They are available for purchase in salons and select retailers nationwide. For a complete listing, please visit www.number4hair.com

This spray retails for $22.

Penny Bloom Summer Daze Collection!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Long time no talk, eh? I am still on a little break from blogging but am going to get back to it slowly but surely. What better way to ease back into posting than with a beautiful summer creme collection from Penny Bloom? Formerly Nayll, Penny Bloom Polish offers custom polishes that you create right on the website and also their own line of beautiful creations, which is what we will be looking at today!

The Summer Daze collection releases on June 21st, the first day of summer, and is a 10 piece creme collection inspired by the long hot days of summer (my favorite)! The polishes retail for $10 each or you can purchase the entire collection for $90!

All swatches are shown with topcoat.

Dog Days is a light tan creme. This was 3 coats. As you can see, there was some pigment that didn't get mixed up all the way in the bottle but it didn't affect the polish when applying it to the nail.

Self-Tanner is a mid tone brown. This was almost a jelly type of creme and needed 3 coats.

Morning Light is a beautiful bright yellow, again 3 coats.

Solar Ray is a bright orange creme. This was the tiniest bit thick but not unmanageable at all. 3 coats.

Summer Night is a lovely pink, 2 coats.

Bikini Days is a light blue creme. This was 2 easy coats.

Ocean Deep is a medium blue creme, covering nicely in two coats.

Blue Lagoon, a gorgeous dusty teal and opaque in 2 coats.

Greenscape is a nice kiwi green and covered in 2 coats.

Finally, Smoothie is a deep green and covered in 2 coats.

Sara was also kind enough to give you a discount code for 20% off your entire order! Just use code FSHNFTG20 and voila! There's your discount!

Remember, this collection will be available in one week, on June 21st! Which shades are you going to be getting?? Don't forget that you can also create your own custom polishes on the Penny Bloom site. I've done it before the rebrand and just a few weeks ago and I LOVE how the polishes came out! Swatches of those will be coming soon!

Blush Lacquers Blush Beauties Facebook Group Customs!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample

Today I have a new to me indie that I have been lusting after for a long time! Blush Lacquer is a fairly new brand, about one year on the scene, and I've seriously wanted just about everything I've seen her release! I was so happy to see Victoria and her Blush Lacquers would be at Polish Con but even more excited when she posted an opportunity to win the Blush Beauties Facebook Group Custom polishes for swatching if you were attending Polish Con and I was one of three people who won the duo!

The first polish is called Oopsie Daisies and it a slightly green tinged yellow packed with green and gold/yellow flakies and also a pinky nude shimmer. This had a great formula and was opaque in 2 coats. I thought my nail was visible after two coats but it turns out that lovely pinky nude shimmer was playing tricks on me. I did do 3 coats here but the color and opacity didn't change, so you be good to go with 2!

Siren Swells is an oxidized green (I just saw the Statue of Liberty, this must be in my head! LOL) with golden shimmer and copper flakes. YOU GUYS. I am in love with this color. I don't have anything like either of these colors (which is saying something!) and I love them both but oh my gosh this one is just <3

I used 2 coats for this polish as well and the formula was outstanding.

These will be available for order on May 5, 2017. Since these are group customs, you do need to be a member of the group to purchase the group.

Northern Star Polish Chance of Frogs

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's green is brought to you by Northern Star Polish Chance of Frogs. This is... well, it's frog green with subtle scattered holo. I have quite a few from this brand and really enjoy all of the polishes but she appears to not make polish any more? I'm not certain, of course.

Anyway, this is 2 coats.

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

The last green from Cirque Colors is Julep, a mint holo. Another untried for way too long, shame on me. And another perfect formula, opaque in 2 coats.

Cirque Panacea

Hey guys!

Today's green polish comes to us from Cirque Colors and is called Panacea. This has been an untried for wayyyy too long. I would call this a bright pea green holo, lol. Great formula, and covered in two coats.

Marching on.... haha.. get it? Haha. Okay. Anyway, today's green is Zoya Vespa, a sage green Pixie Dust. I've spoken of my love for the Pixie Dusts before and so I won't dust off that soapbox (bahahahaa. Man, I'm on a roll!) but yes, I still love Pixie Dusts.

This was a bit sheer and needed 3 coats for opacity.

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's green is from Bliss Polish, called Sweet Senti-Mint, a lovely mint green crelly with gold hex glitter. This was 3 thin coats. I really love these colors together! I don't believe this polish is available for purchase any longer but if you happen to own this, you should definitely wear it :)

Pretty Serious The Dragon's Curse

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

As I was selecting my green polishes for Green Month, I noticed that I had several Pretty Serious green untried polishes so this is the first of those to come.

The Dragon's Curse is a seafoam green with a strong gold shimmer. This has a great formula, as per usual, opaque in 2 coats.

Catrice Sold Out For Ever

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

This polish was sent to me years back by a friend in the UK and if I'm not mistaken, it was quite difficult to find when it was available for purchase! This is Catrice Sold Out Forever, a celery green with green shimmer. The shimmer isn't as obvious on the nail to anyone not looking for it, but it's definitely visible when you are looking directly at the nails. And let's be honest, we all do this to admire our nail polish, amiright?? This was a bit thin, and needed 3 coats for opacity.

Zoya Sage

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Zoya Sage is a satin finish and when I think of sage green, this is exactly the color that comes to mind. This was 2 coats and while it does dry to a satin finish, it was a bit uneven so I did use a wax topcoat on this polish. I love this color, though!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

I hope you are pumped because March is going to be GREEEEEEEN MONTH!! I love green polish, and since St. Patrick's Day is in March and I have all of these green untrieds..... it just seemed like a natural fit, lol. So if you don't like greens, I'm sorry. I will have a few posts that have some spring collections this month but most of the posts will be greeeeen!

Let's start off with OPI's That's Hula-rious!, a green mint. This was 2 coats. Very nice formula, especially for a light color!

What do you think of Green Month? ARE YOU SO EXCITED?!

SinfulColors Works Like A Charm

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Another new polish from SinfulColors, this time from their St. Patrick's Day promotion. This is Works Like A Charm, a mint with gold shimmer. The formula on this was a bit thin and needed 3 coats. Still really pretty, though!

Have you spotted this collection yet? There is also a fun glitter topper in the mix that I didn't purchase but if you love seasonal glitters, it looks really cool!

Twinsie Tuesday: Sparkle 2/28

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Sparkle is basically my favorite thing ever so this was an easy prompt.

Formula X is exiting Sephora's so I've managed to purchase a few at the $5 clearance price in the last several weeks. This was one, Artemis.

Artemis is a silver holographic polish. This was 3 coats. Super super sparkly and lovely.

I'm so bummed that Formula X is going away. I have liked all of the polishes that I've tried from this brand. What are some of your favorites from Formula X?

SinfulColors Kandee Johnson Colors

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

SinfulColors collaborated with Kandee Johnson for a new collection. I'm actually not sure how many polishes are in the collection because there are a few different parts to it: some only available at Meijer, some only at Walgreens, and so forth and so on. I saw the polishes at Meijer and these two caught my eye!

Licorice is a blackened green with a demi matte finish. This had a great formula and covered in 2 coats.

With topcoat. I much prefer this with topcoat :)

Kanfetti is a pastel glitter in a clear base. I applied a heavy coat on my ring finger, and a lighter coat on the other nails.

Have you spotted this collection yet? What do you think?

butter LONDON Eventfull Swatches! Part 2!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Today we have the other half of the butter LONDON Eventfull 6 piece set that I purchased before Christmas to share today!

Keep Clam is the main reason I purchased this whole set, if I'm being honest. I love love these types of rusty, orangey, sort of "ugly" colors! This was 2 perfectly lovely coats.

Royal Appointment is a dark taupey brown. This was 2 coats with a few areas dabbed with a little extra polish. Not quite a 3rd coat, but worth mentioning.

Cool Britannia is a deep navy creme. This looks pretty much black on the nails, lol. But it's a pretty polish and dries very shiny.

butter LONDON EventFull Swatches!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose  Affiliate Link

I purchased the 6 piece butter LONDON Eventfull set before Christmas and am just now getting around to swatching these. Since I'm not a fan of overly saturated posts with pictures, I broke this up into 2 posts, with 3 polishes in each post.

Warm Fuzzies is a taupe creme. This had a really nice formula, covering in 2 coats. All of these polishes did dry very shiny, as well! I've not tried the Patent Shine line before but they seem to live up to the "shine" name.

Mum's the Word is a peachy mauve. This covered in 2 coats, as well. This tone of color isn't my very favorite for my skin tone but otherwise the polish itself was fine.

Scrumptious is a berry creme. This needed 3 coats.

Stay tuned for the other half!

butter LONDON Inky Six and Indigo Punk

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

A few more butter LONDON polishes that I purchased from TJ Maxx a few weeks back.

Inky Six is a blue micro glitter in a blue jelly base. As a jelly, this was a bit sheer on two coats so I did 3 for complete coverage.

Indigo Punk is a purple glitter in a slightly blackened base. This was also 3 coats. I didn't really care for this one as much as I was hoping but oh well. It was only $4 so I don't feel too bad about not loving this, lol.

What are your favorite butter LONDON polishes?

butter LONDON Diamond Geezer & Brown Sugar

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a bunch of butter LONDON polishes to share but so as not to overload one post with 10 polishes, I'm going to break them up into several posts.

First, Diamond Geezer is a silver foil polish. I found this at TJ Maxx for $3.99 and whenever you can find butter LONDON that cheap, you take advantage, lol. I haven't compared this to the other silver metallic/foil polish that I have, Zoya's Trixie but I feel like these are close but not identical.

This was 2 coats.

Brown Sugar is another TJ Maxx find. This is a red and bronze metallic glitter. A little thin, this was 3 coats.

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By The Season

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I spotted a few new SinfulColors displays at RiteAid a few weeks ago and was intrigued by this polish, called Readie or Not. I would describe this as a magenta metallic. I don't have any colors like this that I can think of and it's really really pretty. This had a great formula and was almost opaque in 1 coat but ultimately did need 2.

Have you spotted any interesting new SinfulColors polishes lately?

Great Lakes Lacquer Swatches!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 3 Great Lakes Lacquer polishes to share with you today!

Rainbow! Right Here And Now! is a gray jelly with iridescent flakies. I thought the gray with the multicolored flakies was such a cool combination. This is 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Facing North is a periwinkle with multicolored tiny flakies. I am clearly all about the flakies lately; I just can't get enough!! This was 2 coats. Great formula on this polish!

Majick is a deep purple jelly with red shimmer and purple to blue to red flakies. The picture is like eh okay sure. BUT IN PERSON Oh my goodness. This is rather magical. The red shimmer in this is stunning and WAS IMPOSSIBLE to catch in a picture but was sooo glowy and beautiful! This was 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Have you tried Great Lakes Lacquer? What are your faves??
