Virago Varnish California Bleach Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have swatches of the Virago Varnish California Bleach collection. I don't believe that this is available any longer, as it's listed as sold out on the website. BUT it is still up on the site so it might be restocked at some point.

All of these had a fantastic formula and did not require a white base coat.

First is Huntington a yellow creme. This is probably the most impressive of the bunch, simply because neon yellows are very difficult to get opaque and this particular polish was opaque in two coats!

Laguna was almost a one coater but there were a few of the tiniest streaks to even out so I did two. Fantastic formula!

Malibu was another almost one coater! Again, fantastic formula!

Venice was opaque in two coats. Shockingly, a great formula LOL.

Coronado was opaque in 2 coats, and one more time: a great formula!

I love these bleached neons and hope that they are restocked at some point. So far, I've been very impressed with the Virago Varnish formulas on all of the polishes that I've tried from the brand!!

Marc Jacobs Glowstick: Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have a quick post about the new Marc Jacobs Beauty Glowstick, in the color Spotlight. I received this product for free from Influenster and I have been really loving it!

The Glowstick is a pearly white cream highlighter in a stick form. For me, the best to way to apply it has been using a dense small contouring brush, such as the Luxie 512 Small Contour brush or even the ELF contouring brush. And I can't lie: I've also applied it directly to my face using the stick applicator!

I was very pleased to see how well this highlight blends. If applied directly to the face from the stick, it's a very dramatic highlight but it blends out beautifully and can be worn as subtly or dramatically as you wish!

Unblended swatch:

Blended: Look at that glow!!

The Glowstick retails for $42 and can be purchased at Sephora or any location where Marc Jacobs beauty products are sold.

If you want to see this in action, I posted a video all about it today :)

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a quick nail of the day on super nubs to share with you! (This is why I paint my nails: I pick at my nails when they aren't painted!)

This is Wet n Wild Kiss My Mints from the.... Spring 2016 collection, I believe. A minty blue creme, 2 coats and a very nice formula. I added one coat of Topped with Love by Love, Angeline and boom. Done.

I LOVE this color! How do you feel about mint??

Round 25: Bestie Twin Nails With The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Hey hey hey, it's time for another BTN with my buddy Alaina from The Little Canvas!

For this BTN, we chose a simple dotticure and striping tape mani, inspired by Nicole from Young Wild & Polished.

We went with mint and purple versus the brighter green and purple. I used three colors from Virtuous Polish (which is no longer open for business, unfortunately): Purity, Queen Ester, and Rahab.

This is a pretty straightforward  manicure so I won't really go into too much detail: I used a dotting tool and some striping tape, lol. The polishes I used are matte polishes so a glossy topcoat was required.

Be sure to check out Alaina's nails!

Nine Zero Lacquer June 2016 and Patriot

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's post is a quick one, but I have two beautiful polishes to show you from Nine Zero Lacquer.

First, I'll share the Polish of the Month for June 2016. This is a light purple linear holograph. By now you should know that Nine Zero has just about perfect formulas, especially for holos, and this was no different: 2 easy coats, plus topcoat.

Patriot is the Limited Edition polish to celebrate the 4th of July. It is a silver holographic base with semi-transparent red and blue glitters. This was 3 coats, plus topcoat. I love this and I want it in every color combination possible, mmmmkkay?

These polishes are both available now! I'm not sure how long Patriot will be around but I'm guessing not long after the 4th of July, but you should order it now so you can wear it on the 4th, duh!

Twinsie Tuesday: Geometric

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose P

Today's prompt is Geometric and we know I ain't drawing out anything because I am not that talented, lol. So I pulled out some trusty nail vinyls and a few A England polishes: Spirit of the Moors, Gloriana, & Virgin Queen.

Two coats of Spirit of the Moors and once that was dry, I used a herring bone (??) nail vinyl on my ring finger. I applied Gloriana and Virgin Queen and removed the vinyl. A coat of topcoat and voila! I didn't intend for these to look so patriotic but it's quite fitting, seeing as how the Fourth of July is right around the corner.

Salon Perfect Rose Gold Digger

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have a Salon Perfect polish that I spotted in Walmart last week. I don't often go to Walmart but I've been making a few trips there lately and of course I had to stop at the beauty aisles! I spotted this polish and just plopped it right into my shopping cart, lol.

Rose Gold Digger is a rose and gold glitter. This covered in two coats and while I didn't let it dry too much before I applied my topcoat, I feel like this could be a texture. Regardless, it's lovely and had a nice formula! Densely packed glitters, for sure.

GlitterDaze I'm Foresting My Case

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have a swatch of a polish that's no longer available, I'm afraid. But alas, it's beautiful and I wanted to share it with you.

This is GlitterDaze I'm Foresting My Case, a khaki green holo. This was 2 coats plus topcoat. A lovely formula and just a lovely green, don't you think?

daniPro Nail Polish - Swatches!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have some polishes from a new line called daniPro, a line created by a podiatrist, and named after his daughter, Danielle. These polishes are infused with Undecylenic acid and are free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, DBP, TPHP, and toluene.

First is My Girl. This is a medium bright pink and was opaque in two coats but was a bit streaky so I did a 3rd. This was quite shiny without topcoat but I did use the topcoat they sent along and it was quite shiny! The formula was good though, no running or pooling!

Next is First Kiss. This was another really shiny polish and opaque in two coats, plus topcoat. This also had a nice formula!

These polishes are available at danipronails.com and retail for $18 each.

NYC New York Color Show Time Lip Balms! Swatches + Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have some new drugstore lip balms to share with you! I was sent 3 of the new NYC New York Color Show Time Lip Balms and wanted to do some lip swatches and a review.

The colors I have are the 3 lightest shades: 100 Cool Nude, 110 Trendy Peach, and 200 Popular Pink. The entire line consists of 6 shades, with a fuchsia, red, and coral rounding out the collection.

Since these are lip balms and not lipsticks, they are very sheer but feel very moisturizing on the lips.

L-R: Popular Pink, Trendy Peach, Cool Nude.

 Cool Nude

Trendy Peach. This lip balm has glitter in it. I personally don't care for that and I could feel the glitter on my lips, although it was a fine glitter. You can see a glitter speck in the corner of my mouth and on the lips. I love this color but I was not a fan of the glitter.

Popular Pink, a cool toned pink and the most pigmented of these three shades.

While I don't care for the glitter in Trendy Peach, these were super comfortable to wear. As a balm, they aren't the most long lasting but my lips didn't feel chapped or dry after the balm wore off. Cool Nude is my favorite!

Have you seen the NYC New York Color Show Time Lip Balms? Are you going to pick any of these guys up? These are nice to keep in the car or throw in your purse! As with all NYC products, these are very affordable at $1.99 each!

Sanchez Says... Day Date Nails

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time for another edition of Sanchez Says... and this time, she requested nails for a Day Date. I think of something sort of fun but delicate so I decided to do a saran wrap mani!

I used 3 Nails Inc Polishes: Lexington Gardens (purple), Mayfair Lane (blush), and Soho Place (minty teal).

Starting with a base of Lexington Gardens, I used 2 coats and let that dry for a minute. Then, I blobbed Mayfair Lane and Soho Place onto the nails and used a piece of Saran Wrap to smoosh the colors together. Simple as that! Top coat and done. Boom. You've been nail arted. These Nails Inc bottles are not easy to pose with, by the way :-p

Love, Angeline

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the limited edition Love, Angeline My Pony Brights collection, a 4 piece set of neons with iridescent flakies! These are super limited and will not be restocked but they are still on the site as of this draft (Which is Tuesday at 9:50pm, lol)

First is Apple Blossom, a neon green with iridescent flakies and shimmer. This was the most sheer of the bunch and was still a bit patchy after three coats but it was also  my last swatch of the night so that could have been user error.

Next is Mac -N- Tosh, a bright coral orange with the iridescent flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

Pinky Pal is a neon pink with the same iridescent flakies and shimmer. And again 3 coats plus topcoat.

Spike's Crush is fuchsia purple neon with flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

I love the pinks and the orange the best! Mac-N-Tosh is so vibrant and bright!

Twinsie Tuesday: Negative Space

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are doing negative space manis and I always love the look of these manicures on others but it's one that I don't really love on me, for whatever reason.

So I did a simple accent nail for this manicure, using Painted Polish by Lexi Sweet & Serene, a GORGEOUS periwinkle holo with silver holographic glitter. This was two coats, plus topcoat. And I used a nail vinyl from..... eeek... I think Twinkled T? Anyway, that is what I used for the spiral heart accent nail.
