Twinsie Tuesday: Forgotten Favorite

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring and summer colors! I needed some bright colors on my nails and I pulled out my China Glaze Celtic Sun and then remembered "oh yeah, this polish is amazing.

I did layer two coats of Celtic Sun over a white base, and added topcoat. So so so bright and cheery, right??

What is a favorite polish that you often forget you love??

Twinsie Tuesday: Bright

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are going bright and I have a doozy for you. China Glaze Bite Me from the Summer 2016 Lite Brights collection. This is a super super super bright coral pink with gold shimmer. As you can see from this photo, it looks rather glowy and uhmm.. not real? LOL It was definitely freaking my camera out!

The formula on this was actually really great. It was a bit thick but very easy to work with. If you weren't crazy picky, you could almost do one coat of this! I did 2, plus topcoat and no white base!

Love, Angeline

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the limited edition Love, Angeline My Pony Brights collection, a 4 piece set of neons with iridescent flakies! These are super limited and will not be restocked but they are still on the site as of this draft (Which is Tuesday at 9:50pm, lol)

First is Apple Blossom, a neon green with iridescent flakies and shimmer. This was the most sheer of the bunch and was still a bit patchy after three coats but it was also  my last swatch of the night so that could have been user error.

Next is Mac -N- Tosh, a bright coral orange with the iridescent flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

Pinky Pal is a neon pink with the same iridescent flakies and shimmer. And again 3 coats plus topcoat.

Spike's Crush is fuchsia purple neon with flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

I love the pinks and the orange the best! Mac-N-Tosh is so vibrant and bright!

China Glaze Lite Brights Textures

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have my two picks from the China Glaze Summer 2016 Lite Brights collection! I only picked up 3 polishes from this collection because I'm trying to be really good with my polish purchases, lol. But today I'm going to show you the two textured polishes because these were my favorite!

Papa Don't Peach is a neon orange with gold shimmer. The neon in here really isn't being accurately depicted but it's super bright and the orange shimmer in this is texturetastic. This was a bit sheer on the first coat but built up beautifully on the second. 2 coats shown here.

We Got The Beet is a "grape with copper shimmer". This was also 2 lovely coats.

I am not done with textures, are you? I love them!

Did you pick up any polishes from the Lite Brights collection??

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Your Childhood

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

If you noticed, the Twinsies didn't post last week. We are going to be posting every other week going forward for a while, to sort of give everyone a bit of a break.

But today, we are being inspired by our childhood. Now... I couldn't really pick something because I'm old and forgetful but I do have something that I think totally fits.

I don't have an actual memory of this and after asking my mom, she claims that she never planted this plant or that we ever had it around but every single time I smell Lantana, something in my childhood is instantly brought to my mind. Truly, every single time! LOL I've started planting it in my garden bed just so I can smell it and be taken back to a non memory that apparently didn't exist in my childhood hahahha!

Anyway, I started with two coats of Illamasqua Nomad, a bright mint green... dare I say neon mint.

Using the picture linked above, I used Illamasqua Scarab and Optimist to dot some sad excuses for flowers onto my nails. Yes, I know these look nothing like the lantana flowers but you didn't think I could replicate something so delicate and lovely!

What is one of your favorite childhood memories??

Fair Maiden Neon Gradient

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

So I know that it's only February but I'm basically over winter and am ready for brights! I busted out my Fair Maiden Polishes that have been sitting on my nail rack, staring at me for months and decided to put them to use with a vertical gradient.

I did use a white base, Sally Hansen OMGhost. Then I used a cosmetic wedge to sponge on the polishes:

Don't By Shy (pink)
Reach For The Sky (purple)
Let's Get Physical (blue)
Aim To Misbehave (Lime Green)
Daredevil (Orange)

Then I added Fairy Godmother over the top because duh... holo.

Unfortunately I had zero sun to showcase this beautiful manicure and the ott-lite is what we have to work with for now. But you know it's neon and you know it's fabulous so trust me :)

Are you ready for neons? OR do you think I'm crazy and too early for this color season? LOL

Nine Zero Opening Day Duo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the Nine Zero Lacquer Opening Day Duo, which is unfortunately no longer available for purchase. Whoops. I keep doing that to you guys, and I don't mean to be a tease with these pretty polishes!

The first polish is called Now You See Me... and is a bright orange and I feel like in person I see the tiniest tinge of coral in this polish. This was 2 coats. It was a little thick and I would say the second coat should be done quickly and carefully.

...Now You Don't is the camo glitter topper. This has green, gold, and copper metallic glitter in a clear base. I got a lot of glitter out but the base to glitter ratio was just about perfect and I didn't need to fish or move the glitters around much at all. One coat of topcoat was also sufficient.

So while these particular polishes aren't available for purchase any longer, you can head over to Nine Zero at 11am EST tomorrow (11/13/15) and order the Thanksgiving Trio, Holiday Collection, and the new Silver and Gold toppers!

Charlies' Rad Lacquer Oopsie Neon

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Just a quick post today to show you this Oopsie Neon Orange from Charlie's Rad Lacquer. This is my first CRL, and was sent to my by my biffle, Amanda.

I am assuming this is a one off, as it's called Oopsie Neon, lol. This was 2 coats, and had a nice formula! The holo obviously isn't as noticeable inside as it would be outside but was more apparent than this picture is showing, lol.

Have you tried Charlie's Rad Lacquer before?? And more importantly, do you love orange holo? Because I do!!

Salon Perfect Flower Manicure

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a simple little flower manicure using some of the polishes that I won from a recent Nail Glossip from Salon Perfect!

I used Traffic Cone as my base, two coats. As a neon, it dried matte. Then I picked out the bar glitters and circle glitters to make the flower and flower "foliage". I'd love to tell you the name of this polish but there is no label on the bottom. (EDIT: Duh Amanda, google. It's called Spider Legs!) This took some time but it wasn't anything outrageous. I added two coats of topcoat and called it good.

What do you think? I like it!

Colores de Carol Beach Boys Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

The Beach Boys collection from Colores de Carol was released earlier this summer but I'm super slow and am just now getting around to swatching these neons! Yikes. There are 7 polishes here so let's get to them.

For the sake of me not repeating myself, all of these polishes were layered over white and I didn't use a topcoat for any of these. As they are neons, they dried matte. AND with the exception of one polish, they were all two coats.

Good Vibrations is a neon yellow.

Do You Wanna Dance? is a bright orange.

All Summer Long is a bright coral pink.

Surfin' USA is a brighter pink than All Summer Long.

Fun Fun Fun is a fuchsia. This was 3 coats. This polish was a bit streaky but also somehow too thick? I had some issues with this polish and had to reapply this color several times.

Sail On Sailor is a bright cobalt blue.

I Get Around is a bright neon green. This is a little bit brighter in person and as you can see, I had to adjust my camera settings to capture some of the neon, lol.

These colors are really pretty but can be a bit tricky to work with. You have to work quickly but precisely because they tend to dry fast and can look uneven if you have overlapping brush strokes.

Round 14: Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

We're back again with another BTN and this time, we are attempting the dreaded WATERMARBLE! DUN DUN DUN!!! I suck at watermarbling, regardless of how well the polish performs. I'm just bad at it. There is no reason other than... I'm just bad at it, lol. But I want to get better and that's partially what this Monthly BTN is for so let's get to it.

I used all Orly polishes for these except that I Salon Perfect Sugar Cube as my white base. I alternated Gumdrop and On the Edge and attempted a sad water marble design. Water marble masters: WHAT IS THE TRICK TO DESIGNS? Like, I don't get it. As quickly as I drop the polish, it crusts over and the toothpick or water marble tool doesn't make a line, it drags the polish??? Ugh. Anyway.

Then since I was already liquid latexing my nails, I figured that I might as well do all the nails and did a gradient using the same colors. I added a coat of Mirrorball because duh. It's Mirrorball.

My watermarble is just never going to be perfect but I thought this looking passable! My liquid latex messed up the marble on my middle finger when I took it off but whatever. I marbled. It happened, lol.

Now everyone go look at Alaina's nails and comment that she has to at least do one finger for a glitter placement manicure for an upcoming BTN! She's just being stubborn and difficult in this area. LOL.

Colores de Carol Summer Fun Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the summer collection from Colores de Carol today!

SPF15 is an orange yellow or as I like to say "yorange", heehee. This was a bit streaky so I did 3 coats.

Tan Lines is orange but almost a pinky orange in person. This was also three coats.

Bright Shorts is a hot pink; this was brighter in person and more vibrant. 3 coats.

Flip My Flops is a purple neon. This had a little better formula that the previous polishes so I only needed 2 coats.

Watching Clouds is a bright sky blue. 3 coats. I have no idea what was happening to my camera this night but I was missing pictures and half of the photos were blurry. Maybe I should stop swatching at night, lol!

Kiwi Popsicle is a lime green, but I should really say a bright kiwi green, right? This was 3 coats.

What do you think?

Twinsie Tuesday: Neon (Mod Lacquer Electrified Swatches)

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 5 of the Mod Lacquer Electrified neon cremes to share with you today! All of these were 2 coats, for the sake of not having to repeat myself 5 times, lol. And this is a cheat because it's our prompt for Twinsie Tuesday today!

Accelerate is an orange yellow creme. (This was 3 coats).

High Powered is described as a watermelon neon and yes, that's exactly accurate, lol.

Motivate is a BRIGHT bright magenta pink.

Prime is a brilliant blue.

Stunned is a vibrant green.

So yeah if you want so supah bright neon polishes, definitely check out Mod Lacquer. These all had really great formulas and are probably some of the brightest neons that I own!!

Potion Polish Dreaming Of The Islands Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

There's a new indie brand on the block and their name is Potion Polish! They opened in the beginning of June and I am pleased to say that I was their first sale! Whoo! LOL!

I bought the Dreaming of the Islands collection because 1) neon and 2) holo. So duh. There are 7 polishes in the collection so let's get to it. All of the polishes have a strong scattered holograph and were three coats with an easy formula.

Papaya Sunrise is peachy orange crelly.

This picture is a comparison of Papaya Sunrise (index and middle finger) and Electric Bikini (ring and pinky finger), as they are very similar. Unless you were buying the complete set, you probably wouldn't need both, although they are both lovely.

Electric Bikini is a red leaning coral crelly.

Beach Bunny Pink is a Barbie crelly.

Rainbow Orchid is an orchid purple jelly. This color was one of my favorites, it was 2 coats and so beautiful.

Sunlit Palms is a green crelly. I had to really adjust my camera settings for this so that's why my fingers look really orange, lol.

Sparkle Cay is a beautiful aqua jelly. This was another favorite; the color was just beautiful. This was a little sheer after two coats, as you can still see my nail line a bit.

Cerulean Skies is a cerulean blue jelly and let's just be honest: this is my favorite, as if you didn't know :-p This was 2 coats.

I am pretty impressed with this collection, especially for a first collection! The formula's were all very nice and I like that this is a neon collection without being just a neon collection, ya know? Not that I would ever complain about too many neons :-p.

You can check out Potion Polish on their website and follow them on Instagram for sneak peaks of upcoming collections!

Twinsie Tuesday: Shimmer

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are sharing a shimmer manicure with you, which seems pretty easy compared to some of the other prompts we've faced, lol. I decided to shared 4 polishes in a skittle manicure so let's take a looksie!

The polishes I used are from Baroness X and these are my first from this brand. I love the attention to detail and the cabachon with the polish color on the top of each lid, that must take a LOT of extra time and I appreciate the effort!

From Index to pinky, I used:
Maracaibo
Aphelandra
Tayabak
Ornith-Goliath

I used two coats of each, and three on the pinky (Ornith-Goliath). I like skittle manicures and after photographing and editing these pictures I realized... these are thermal polishes! I had no idea, lol! I'm not usually big on thermal polishes so that feature isn't a game changer for me and I didn't even notice they changed until a full day after applying, lol! All I saw when ordering was the shimmer and flakies and neon! LOL!!

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies shimmer manis!
