SinfulColors - A Class Act

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have 10 polishes from the SinfulColors A Class Act collection to share with you! This collection is made up of demi-matte polishes and several eye-catching 3D glitters. Since there are so many polishes, let's get to them!

Whiteboard is... well, it's white, lol. This was 3 coats.

VIPeach is a sunny yellow polish, a little confusing for the name, ha! 3 coats.

Truth or Lavendare is a lavender purple. 2 coats.

RADient is a magenta jelly that dries to a matte. This was 3 coats.

Hazed is a fuchsia jelly, 3 coats.

Chalk It Up is a pastel green, 2 coats.

Summer S-cool is a light blue. This polish didn't dry as matte as the others. 2 coats.

Blackboard is a demi-matte black. 2 coats.

Night Owl is an iridescent glitter in a sheer purple base. This was one coat over Truth or Lavendare.

Late Night Haute is a teal iridescent glitter. This is one coat over Summer S-cool

Sally Hansen Instant Ombrè Polishes - Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have two of the Sally Hansen Insta-Ombre polishes to share with you today. The idea behind this polish is an easy ombre polish in one bottle.

The way to get the ombre effect with this is to apply one coat, apply the second coat about 1/3 of the way down your nail and then a third coat at the tips of the nail. That's what I did so let's take a look!

Scarlet Spark is a red and silver micro glitter.

Gold Grade is gold and silver microglitter.

There's not a lot to say about these, they applied easily and obviously you can wear these as full coverage glitters or do the ombre look as intended.

You can purchase Sally Hansen products are drugstores and mass retailers nationwide.

Sally Hansen Pearl Crush - Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have 3 of the Sally Hansen Pearl Crush polishes to share with you. These polishes all have a sheer, iridescent finish and have large hex glitters to give a 3D effect.

She Sells is a pale pearl pink color. I used one coat over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Quick Brick and decided to use some glitter placement on the ring finger. The hexes are quite large so it did not take long at all.

Lady Crab is a sheer pink. This was two coats over Sally Hansen Insta-Dri White.

Silver Scallop is a light gray. This was 2 coats over SH White.

The glitters were rather difficult to get out of the bottle, even after leaving the polishes upside down for about 30 minutes. These polishes are too sheer to be able to make opaque, so they will always need to be layered over an opaque polish. I suppose you could wear 2 coats and have a very visible nail line, if that's what you wanted to do. Lastly, the glitters are very large and prone to curling a bit.

These were not my favorite polishes, lol. I get the idea of a sheer polish with glitter and the iridescent glitters are pretty. I think if they were smaller and the base was a tiny bit more opaque, I would have liked these better.

Have you tried the Pearl Crush polishes? What were your thoughts?

Twinsie Tuesday: A Technique You Love...

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose
...but haven't tried in a while.

Well I was flaky and lazy and went with plain old nail vinyls for today. We were busy prepping for Avery's 2nd birthday party this past weekend and I totally forgot to write up a post, lol.

So I used Glam Polish Utopian Paradise, which was two perfect coats, as per usual with Glam Polish, ugh. LOL.

Then I used some nail vinyls and slapped on GP I Know You Want Me! which was also perfect and that's annoying because guys.. I want all of the Glam Polishes. All of them. Wahhhh...

I smooshed my pointer finger because I forgot to take a picture when my nails were fresh and went to bed and woke up with a smooshed nail. Womp womp.

But this was really pretty and I enjoyed this manicure while I wore it!

The twinsies are taking August off, so be sure to leave extra comments on all of their posts this week and we will be back in September to resume the Twinsie Tuesday super fun times.

Pretty & Polished Happy Hour Collection!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

So today is my daughter's second birthday. I'm not really sure how she is already 2 but we had a fun little party yesterday. She gets funnier everyday, lol. And a little more sassy, yikes. Anyway, just wanted to mention that. Now onto the drinky poos!

Pretty & Polished recently released their Happy Hour collection, and you're going to see it on mah fingers today. Let's get to it.

Warning: I am not responsible for the desire to consume a delicious cold beverage after reading this post :-p Also, most of these polishes, except for one, dried with a slight textured finish so you'll want a nice thick topcoat to smooth them out.

Tequila Sunrise is apparently a thermal jelly polish, which I only just realized when I went to the P&P site to link the products, lolol!! I used 3 coats.

Cosmopolitan is a bright pink jelly with pink and purple holographic glitters. This was two coats plus top coat.

Sangria is a red jelly holo. This was one of my favorites, I love this shade of red. 3 coats, plus top coat.

Purple Nurpl is a dark purple jelly with lots of holographic pink glitters. 2 coats plus topcoat.

Appletini is a bright lime green polish. This was the one polish that didn't have a textured feel to it, 3 coats plus topcoat.

Long Island Iced Tea is a really interesting color, sort of a coppery brown with holographic glitters. This was 3 coats.

Are ya thirsty yet? I think my favorite is Long Island Iced Tea, it's such an interesting and pretty color!

Round 14: Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

We're back again with another BTN and this time, we are attempting the dreaded WATERMARBLE! DUN DUN DUN!!! I suck at watermarbling, regardless of how well the polish performs. I'm just bad at it. There is no reason other than... I'm just bad at it, lol. But I want to get better and that's partially what this Monthly BTN is for so let's get to it.

I used all Orly polishes for these except that I Salon Perfect Sugar Cube as my white base. I alternated Gumdrop and On the Edge and attempted a sad water marble design. Water marble masters: WHAT IS THE TRICK TO DESIGNS? Like, I don't get it. As quickly as I drop the polish, it crusts over and the toothpick or water marble tool doesn't make a line, it drags the polish??? Ugh. Anyway.

Then since I was already liquid latexing my nails, I figured that I might as well do all the nails and did a gradient using the same colors. I added a coat of Mirrorball because duh. It's Mirrorball.

My watermarble is just never going to be perfect but I thought this looking passable! My liquid latex messed up the marble on my middle finger when I took it off but whatever. I marbled. It happened, lol.

Now everyone go look at Alaina's nails and comment that she has to at least do one finger for a glitter placement manicure for an upcoming BTN! She's just being stubborn and difficult in this area. LOL.

I Love Nail Polish: Day 3!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

We are to the last day of ILNP Week! Have you enjoyed this week? I really like featuring one brand for the week (or at least a good chunk of the week). Let me know if you enjoy this as well!

All of these polishes had very good formulas and were super super easy to apply. No pooling, streaking, or patchiness whatsoever.

Honor Roll is a navy blue holo. This was 2 completely perfect coats. Looove!

Shoreline is a pale pale aqua color, packed with holo glitter and flakies. It basically looks silver but regardless of the color, it was 2 perfect coats. My notes say "2 COATS IT'S FANTASTIC" so I must have been really excited about that, lol.

Money Bin is a yellow gold holographic. This was 2 coats and has the same formula as Shoreline: full of flakies and holo and really easy to apply.

Finally, we have MEGA (X), the 4th in the MEGA line of super holos. This is a silver holo, packed to the gills with super amazing holo goodness. I used 3 coats, but it was ALMOST opaque in 2. I even took a video of the amazing holo because it wasn't translating properly to still photos. Check Instagram for that!

And that concludes ILNP week! What was your favorite polish? As I was reorganizing my helmers last week, I found the Spring ILNP polishes that I purchased and haven't swatched yet. Yep. So I can definitely do another ILNP feature week if you enjoyed this week!

I Love Nail Polish: Day 2!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Welcome to another day of ILNP week!

All of these polishes had very good formulas and were super super easy to apply. No pooling, streaking, or patchiness whatsoever.

Ten Fold is described as a minty green holo. This was 2 coats, no top coat.

1UP is a bright green holo. I love greens like this, they are so vibrant and fun! 2 coats.

Harbour Island is described as a caribbean blue color and LOOK AT THE COLOR! AHHHHHH dead. I love this color. This is 3 coats, as this is a more sheer, jelly type of polish.

Float On is a bright aquamarine blue. 3 coats. Surprising to no one, this is another favorite!

Are you guys enjoying ILNP week?? Come back tomorrow for the last day!!

I Love Nail Polish Summer 2015

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Welcome to another Indie Feature Week! This week, we are all about I Love Nail Polish and the Summer '15 polishes! I don't have the whole collection but I have most of the holos, because you know how I roll :-p Since there are so many polishes, I'm going to break it up to a few per post, so as not to overwhelm your minds with all of the HOLO GOODNESS!! So let's get to it!

All of these polishes had very good formulas and were super super easy to apply. No pooling, streaking, or patchiness whatsoever.

I See You is a champagne holo. This was 2 coats. You can obviously still see my nail but I sort of liked the idea of this being a little more sheer, since the color is so delicate.

Summer Crush is a bubblegum pink with scattered holo. This was 2 coats.

Closure is described as an apple red with holographic. I personally love this, it's difficult to find a red holo and while I wouldn't consider this a full on red, it's very very close and really pretty. 3 coats.

Walking Home is dark purple holo. This was 2 coats.

Stay tuned for the rest of the ILNP swatches this week!

Twinsie Tuesday: Shiny & Matte Combo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Heeyyyyyyyy so this is not really as matte and shiny as I would have liked but we're rolling with it, mmmkay? Okay.

I used 2 coats of Colores de Carol Aster as my base color, which was a limited edition polish and is now sold out.... sorrrrry!

Then I applied some nail vinyls from..... a brand.... that I cannot remember (whoops. They don't label the back of the vinyl, I can't remember all of these things!) and applied CdC 50K. Initially I tried to matte the holo and shiny topcoat the dots but that wasn't happening so I slapped matte topcoat on the ring finger and guess what, you still can't tell it's matte! Sigh. Whatever, I give up lol.

Be sure to check out the rest of the twinsies shiny and matte manicures!

Rimmel Keep Calm & Lip Balm - Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have some new lip balms from Rimmel to share with you! There are 5 available shades and I have three to share with you. These are "nourishing balms with a fresh hint of tint".

These retail for $2.50 and are available at chain drug stores and mass retailers nationwide! Let's take a look!

The three shades I have are
Top: Keep Calm and Rock (berry blush)
Middle: Keep Calm and Play (rose blush)
Bottom: Keep Calm and Party (violet blush).

The texture of these is very smooth and the sheer tint is perfect for everyday use. They apply like a regular balm but add a little pizazz. There is a mild berry scent to the balms, which I do not find overpowering. I think this would be a great lip balm to check out and you can't beat it for the price! $2.50!

Colores de Carol Summer Fun Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the summer collection from Colores de Carol today!

SPF15 is an orange yellow or as I like to say "yorange", heehee. This was a bit streaky so I did 3 coats.

Tan Lines is orange but almost a pinky orange in person. This was also three coats.

Bright Shorts is a hot pink; this was brighter in person and more vibrant. 3 coats.

Flip My Flops is a purple neon. This had a little better formula that the previous polishes so I only needed 2 coats.

Watching Clouds is a bright sky blue. 3 coats. I have no idea what was happening to my camera this night but I was missing pictures and half of the photos were blurry. Maybe I should stop swatching at night, lol!

Kiwi Popsicle is a lime green, but I should really say a bright kiwi green, right? This was 3 coats.

What do you think?
