February Untrieds: Sally Hansen Swatches

Hey guys! Today is the last day of our February Untrieds: Cremes and Shimmers. Next month, we're tackling holo's! Whoohoo! So make sure to check out what Amanda and Sarah posted today!

Sequin Scandal is a polish that I won in a giveaway from Madeline from Quest4TheHolyNail. It sat in my untrieds bin forever; why? I am not sure!

This was two lovely coats of this gorgeous bronze shimmery beauty.

In A Flurry! is a LE polish that came out last fall. I bought it as soon as I saw it.... and never wore it. Sigh. Anyway, I finally tried it and was a tad disappointed. I was expecting more shimmer and sparkle but it's still pretty. 3 thin coats.

Finally,  Purple Haste, a deep purple creme with blue shimmer. This came out at the same time as In A Flurry. This was 2 easy coats.

W7 and Julep Harper

Hey Guys!

This W7 came to me from Saira, thanks Saira! It doesn't have a name (that I can tell), but it's a lovely dark teal color. MMM.... So pretty. This was 3 thin coats, no top coat.

Since glitter is king, I added one coat of Julep Harper over W7. It kind of looks like I used a matte topcoat in these photos, but I did not.

February Untrieds: Bettina

Hey guys!

Go see what Amanda and Sarah are posting today!

I have some Bettina's to show you today! I purchased these from a blog sale and I was so happy to finally have some lovely Bettina's!

First is Tulipani, which is a beautiful springy pink creme. This was a lovely formula, I used 2 easy coats for this. Actually, I used 2 coats and these all had great formula's.

Next, Ortensia, a sort of celery green. Again, 2 coats.

Finally, Flip Flops, a punchy purple.

We're almost done with February untrieds... any guesses as to what March's untrieds will be? :-)

Inspired By... Nail Polish??

Hey guys!

Today's Inspired post is sort of lame, lol. I didn't really get this from anywhere in particular, just kind of a combination of things I've seen.

I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls,  then taped off some chevron designs on my ring finger. The glitter I used were China Glaze Pom Pom and butter LONDON West End Wonderland. Then I used my fan brush and brushed ChG Pom Pom on my index finger. The middle and pinky I painted one coat of the BL and ChG.

This last photo is with topcoat. It doesn't look as bumpy and gross as it does in these pictures, lol. And yes the green on my fingernails is from my striping tape. I always manage to mess up striping tape!

OPI Just Groovy and Julep Vivien

Hey Guys! How is your Saturday?? Mine is wide open and free of plans, just the way I like it :-)

Just so you know, I have a bunch of creme and glitter swatches stored away so you'll be seeing lots of that in the coming weeks on off challenge/Pinterest days!

OPI Just Groovy was given to my by my friend who was cleaning out her stash and since I can never say no to polish,  I said yes!

Just Groovy is a lovely sky blue creme. I honestly don't think I have anything quite like this in my collection... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Also, can I just say something weird? I LOVE the length and shape of my nails in these photos. Gah, grow nails, grow!

Anyway, it covered beautiful in 2 coats. And it was soooo shiny!

Then, I added one coat of Julep Vivien, super awesome gold glitter.

 BAM!

Lime Crime, Rimmel and Ulta Polishes!

Hey guys!

The official title of this post is Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse with Rimmel  Savvy and Ulta Love Fern. But that was too long, lol.

I started with two coats of Lime Crime Once In A Blue Mousse. Ignore the bumps on the nails, those are on my nails and are not from the polish. Apparently, I did not get all the previous glitter off. Whoops. Anyway, I used 3 thin coats. It was a bit streaky after the second coat.

Then, I layered one coat of Rimmel Savvy, a super sheer layering polish.

THEN, I added one coat of Ulta Love Fern, a lovely teal glitter. Love this!

So much blue makes me so much happy! Wait... that doesn't make sense.

February Untrieds: China Glaze Spam!

Hey guys!

Today's Untrieds Post is a little bit of spam from one of my faaaavorite brands, China Glaze. Of course, you have to go see what Amanda and Sarah are posting!

Urban-Night is a plum creme polish. I love this color, I don't wear purple like very often but it's so so pretty. This was 2 perfectly wonderful coats, no topcoat.

Next,Jolly Holly, which is from a Christmas collection a few years back. I found this polish shopping with my friend Jamie and had to have this green. I mean... look at it!! It's stunning!

Finally, Turned Up Turquoise... DISCLAIMER! This polish is about 50% brighter green/turquoise in person but my camera was freaking out and this is what was translated to the pixels. This is a super fun color, especially for spring and summer! I used 3 thin coats.

Under my lightbox (a tiny bit more accurate but still not as bright!)

Well,  that's all folks!

Wet n Wild Night Prowl with Jordana Confetti

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday! This is a Pink as I get for Pink Wednesdays, apparently! LOL!

Wet n Wild Night Prowl is a black polish with a fuchsia microglitter throughout. I used 2 coats, and it did dry a little bit matte. There is no topcoat in these photos.

And because I can never leave well enough alone, I added Jordana Confetti, which I received in a swap from Stephanie. This was one.... or two coats. I can't remember and my notes are waaayyyyy out in the living room, ha.

So pretty and pink!

Feburary Untrieds: Essence Breaking Dawn Collection

Hey guys!

For today's Untried's Challenge, you're getting 4 polishes! Whoohoo! Don't forget to go see what Amanda and Sarah are posting!

I'm showing you guys the Essence Breaking Dawn collection today. Now, I've never seen Twilight so I have no idea what the names of these reference or if the colors are accurate to anything in the book. Yeah yeah yeah. I don't want to hear it :-P

First up, A Piece of Forever. This was my least favorite from this group. I like the idea of this color, but I feel like it just does not compliment my skin tone very well. This was 2 coats.

Next, Alice Had A Vision Again, a shimmery purple. I loved this one! Blue, green, and purple shimmer! Perfect!  This was 2 easy coats.

Third,  Edward's Love. This is a dark gray base with silver flecks. It was okay. Not my fave. I (think) this is 3 coats.

Finally, Jacobs' Protection. This is the blue version of Alice Had A Vision and I love it.  2 coats.

What do you think of this collection? Were you able to find these babies at an Ulta near you?
