Poparazzi Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

While I was browsing at CVS a few weeks ago, I noticed a very full and brand new display of Pop-Arazzi polishes. To my knowledge, these are replacing the Spoiled line of polishes that was sold exclusively at CVS. The side cap of polishes was marked on sale, so I grabbed 5 polishes to try.

First is Lovely in Lilac, a pretty straightforward lilac creme. There is some shimmer in this but it's not visible on the nail at all. This was 2 coats.

Sparkle-fetti is labeled as a POP FX polish and has micro red and blue glitter with larger silver hex glitter. It was dense enough to apply substantially in one coat.

And a macro because duh. Glitter macros!

Sapphire Desire is a bright blue metallic polish. This is my favorite, for obvious blue reasons. And this was one coat! I probably could have done two but it was sufficient with one so I left it.

Don't Need No Romeo (huh?) is a dark green creme and I love this one as well. I feel like I don't have a lot of colors like this, which is rare! This was 2 coats.

Never Too Rich is another from the POP FX section of the collection. It's a green holographic glitter with assorted glitter sizes. I used one coat with top coat.

I was a fan of these polishes! I believe they retailed for $2.50 regularly, but I got mine on sale for $0.99 each! Not bad at all!

Have you checked out the new Pop-Arazzi line at CVS?

China Glaze Road Trip for Spring 2015: My Picks!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 10 of the 12 polishes from the China Glaze Road Trip collection for spring 2015. Is anyone else gleefully excited for spring? I am never a fan of winter and I think each year I loathe it more and more. Come onnnnn spring!!

This collection is made up of pastels and brights and shimmers and cremes.

Pack Lightly is a peach shimmer. The formula on this was a bit patchy and at three coats, the patches were still visible. However, I have a rule about not doing more than three coats of a polish because I think that's just ridiculous for a creme. This was a gorgeous color though and the subtle shimmer was really pretty!

Sun's Up Top Down is a yellow with very subtle shimmer. In the light, the shimmer is visible but not so much otherwise. This was a bit streaky on the first coat but surprisingly, covered in 2 coats!

More to Explore is the coral peach creme of the bunch and the formula on this was decent, as it covered in two coats. However, this took forever to dry. I completely ruined my manicure after waiting 40 minutes to touch anything!

Uhmm yikes!

Boho Blues is a lovely periwinkle blue creme polish. The formula on this was good, this was two coats with top coat.

Dashboard Dreamer is a light blue with an orangey pinky shimmer. This was very patchy, even at three coats. Wahh.

Wanderlust is a pale pink with some golden shimmer. This was also pretty patchy at three coats, as shown below.

Pinking Out The Window is a coral pink creme. This had an okay formula, I used 2 coats.

Trip of a Lime Time is one of those ugly greens that you will either love or hate. I am leaning more towards not loving this color, lol. This was 2 coats.

License & Registration Pls is a cobalt blue almost jelly polish. This was one of my favorites, no surprise there, I'm sure. This was 2 thin coats.

Even though the colors were lovely, this wasn't my favorite collection in terms of formula. Womp womp.

Pretty & Polished Maleficium

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Pretty & Polished recently released a new collection and the star of the show (in my opinion) was this baby right here: Maleficium. This is a white crelly base with multi-colored flakies throughout.

Look at the color shift!! <3 I was not expecting this to have such a great formula, simply because I don't have a lot of white crelly polishes that are very opaque but this was just about perfect: 2 easy coats with very minimal cleanup.

You can purchase or any of the other Dark Arts collection here.

Twinsie Tuesday: Polish Received In A Swap

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

For this prompt, we are choosing a polish that we received in a swap. I have done a lot of swapping over the years so I had a lot of polishes to choose from. I decided to choose one that I received most recently and that is Different Dimension Ready Set Snow.

This is a white base with silver holo sparkles throughout. I did not realize until application that this was textured, however! It was a bit thick but that is due to the texture of the polish. However, application was easy and this covered fully in two coats. I applied one coat of topcoat but will probably used two in the future.

Makeup Monday: Barielle Line Eraser

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Barielle is primarily known for nail polish but they recently released a new Facial Line Eraser. This can be used alone of under makeup for a flawless look.

Now, I do not have a ton of lines or wrinkles yet, but I am sure they are on the way and prevention or at least the knowledge of how to mask wrinkles is always beneficial, right?? This product can also be used as a makeup primer or sorts and that is how I used it.

I'm going to be really honest: I was a bit freaked out when I saw the syringe-like applicator. I quickly realized that was just for ease of application, should you choose to use it as a line eraser.

Once you open the box, and pull out the plastic "syringe", you will see two caps that need to be removed, the clear hard plastic cap and a more fitted rubber cap. I was pleased to see there is twist lock to prevent the product from being squeezed out of the syringe when not in use.

The line eraser is a concealer color, but blends out to a skin tone and is not visible and once it's rubbed into the skin, I couldn't feel it on my face. There is no smell to the line eraser, either. It felt like nothing once I rubbed it in, which is awesome! I do not like to feel a lot of stuff on my face, lol.

What do you think? I like this for it's lightweight feel. Like I said, I don't really have any lines to conceal so I cannot testify to it's effectiveness in that aspect, but I do like it as a face primer!

You can purchase the Barielle Line Eraser here. It retails for $30.

Bestie Twin Nails With The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's Round 9 of BTN with Alaina from The Little Canvas! This time we decided to recreate this manicure from the skittle queen, Nicole from Young Wild & Polished.

First, let's chat for a second. I did this manicure 3 times. That's right. 3 times. The first time, because I forgot that I had purchased polishes specifically for this BTN. So okay whatever, I did it like a month ago and I had time to recreate it with the proper polishes. The second time, I just didn't really like the way it turned out because the polishes that I had purchased looked a lot darker than I wanted so I scrapped it.

So here's were we are: I used some of the new China Glaze Road Trip cremes and an Ulta Exclusive.

The ring finger was China Glaze License & Registration Pls, 2 coats. The other fingers were Cons-Ulta My Manicurist, the Ulta exclusive. I used 3 thin coats for this, it was a bit streaky after 2 coats.

Then I took Boho Blues, the purple color, and License & Registration and did the plastic bag trick on my middle finger (blobbed a bit of each color then smooshed them together with a plastic bag), used my dotting tool on my pinky and drew some little x's on my index finger. How do people draw tiny lines? I used a nail art brush, I tried a toothpick... what the heck? I couldn't get skinnier lines! LOL Oh well, I tried, ha!

These pictures are with topcoat, bee tee dubs.

Then, because I couldn't not... I added some Fairy Dust. BAM. Done, son!

I really really loved these nails! This is one of my favorite BTN's to date!!

Revlon Sultry and Gold Goddess

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's post brings you Revlon Sultry, one of their new polishes for the spring. This is obviously an Amanda color... look at the blue!! LOOK AT IT!! This was two coats, and it had a nice formula but it did have that "i'm a bright blue polish, so I'm gonna smell funky" smell. WHAT IS THAT?

Then I added one coat of Revlon Golden Goddess. I think this was LE, but I could be wrong. I can't keep track of all the LE polishes in Mount Polish, guys. I just can't :-p

I love blue and gold together, and not just because I'm from Michigan and like U of M (don't hate me, I actually don't care which team wins, they're both from Michigan!! I root for Michigan teams!)

Have you seen or tried either of these polishes??

SinfulShine Prosecco

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

SinfulShine Prosecco was one of those polishes that had quite a bit of buzz around it last fall. I will fully admit to buying it simply because of the buzz and once I got it home, was a bit confused as to why the buzz?? It looked like a regular neutral polish with golden shimmer. Right?

So there it sat, buried in Mount Polish for months until I decided to dive into the Mountain of Untrieds and pull some polishes to use for the month. Lo and behold, there was Prosecco, the forgotten hyped up polish. Come to me, darling. I will use you. Will you take my breath away?

This was 2 coats and while it is very very pretty.... Ehh. I like it, I don't love it, but I'm glad I own it, ya know?

I'm not a neutral nails kinda gal so this isn't as "IN YO FACE" as I prefer :-)

Did you grab Prosecco? Do you love it?

Milani Fierce Foil Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Milani recently released 6 new Limited Edition foil finish polishes and I have 3 of them to show you today.

These polishes are named for famous Italian cities and since I've never been to Italy, this excites me, lol.

First is Milan, a gold fleck polish that Milani describes as a 24-karat dazzle drop polish. This is sheer on the first coat, but it did cover in two coats. And its so pretty!!

Next is Florence, a sagey green foil with gold flecks throughout. This was 2 coats.

Finally, Venice, a cobalt blue. This should be no surprise that this is my favorite as it's a vibrant blue and ya know... perfect. This was 2 coats.

I really like these polishes and might end up going back for the other three, heehee.

Have you found these new Milani polishes yet? What did you think??

Twinsie Tuesday: Match Your Nails To Your Purse

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's prompt of Match Your Nails To Your Purse should have been fairly easy, since I own approximately 13924573 blue nail polishes, but alas, I could not find a color that was close to my purse! My purse is from Kohl's and it's a Sonoma Crossbody bag in the color Midnight. I like this purse, it's big enough that I can fit a diaper and a wipe container in it but not have to carry a full on diaper bag and crossbody bags are my jam right now. I kind of hate carrying a purse but definitely need to because how else would I transport my stuff?? LOL

So I originally picked Orly Sapphire Silk for this and was satisfied with it until I walked into Ulta and spotted Zoya Sailor. Be still my heart, it was almost an exact match to my little purse so I had to have it, right? (The answer is always yes, by the way).

I used two perfect coats for this manicure and had every intention of mattifying this to better match my purse and of course I forgot because I'm a professional, duh. Heehee.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the twinsies and their purse manicures!

Makeup Monday: Lorac Unzipped Cheek Palette & Alter Ego Set

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Welcome to the first evah Makeup Monday! As you know, if you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, I'm really delving into the world of makeup and enjoying the beautiful things and I thought it would be fun to do a makeup post on the blog once in a while! So Makeup Mondays are here!!

For the first Makeup Monday, let's look at the Ulta exclusive Lorac Unzipped Cheek Palette & Alter Ego lipstick set. This set is $30 and includes the cheek palette with 4 blushes and a full sized Alter Ego lipstick. I love my Unzipped palettes and so I kind of felt this was an essential, heehee.

The Alter Ego lipstick is called Girl Next Door and is a coral pink shade. This is a matte finish, which I love.

From first swatch, these blushes seem very pigmented, though a bit powdery in the swatch, particularly Unashamed (the bright pink). I know that looks like a crazy scary pink but I think it will be sooo lovely in the summer, especially with a bit of a tan!

As this is just a swatch post, I cannot attest to the lasting power of these yet. I will say that Unapologetic looks like the color I will get the least use out of, but then again, you never know!

I am happy I bought this set and if you like Lorac like I do, I would hurry because it is Limited Edition and only at Ulta!

And don't forget to shop through Ebates to earn cash back!!

Are you excited for Makeup Mondays??
