B Squared EDM Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have the B Squared EDM Collection to show you today. Unfortunately, I don't know if these will be available for purchase, as it looks like B Squared is either taking a hiatus or possibly closing up her shop :-(

These polishes are all what I call muted neons. They aren't quite pastel but aren't as bright as regular neons. As as neons, they dried matte and I did not add a topcoat.

Rave is a light limeish yellowish color. This was two coats over white.

Trance is a coral color. This was 3 coats.

Kandi is a bright pink, 2 coats.

Down Tempo is a deep purple. This was 2 coats.

Plur is a bright teal, this was brighter in person but I suck at technology.... 3 coats.

The Drop is a green toned mint. 3 coats.
All of these had nice formula's and were easy to apply. With the exception of Rave (the first polish), all were opaque without a white base and that's always a plus :-)

Talk to you soon!

Aurora Cosmetics Gel Effect Polish - Swatches and Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have swatches from a new to me brand called Aurora Cosmetics. This brand sells makeup as well but we are talking about the nail polish today.

The polish line is called Gel Effect but without a UV light and is also shiny and durable with wear time for up to 2 weeks. The polish removes with regular nail polish remover! I'm going to say right now that I didn't test the 2 week wear factor but I did wear one for the colors for several days and it held up very well.

I am also topping all of these polishes with the Aurora Gel Effect Top Coat.

Kapuni is a beige creme. This was a little bit streaky after three coats, plus topcoat.

Safety Orange is just that: a bright safety cone orange. This is 2 coats, with topcoat.

Pink Dahlia is a medium pink. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Sticky Sweet is a rosy fuchsia. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Ahu o Laka is a light sky blue. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Flat Tire is a dark brown. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Finally, Walk of Fame is a silver microglitter topcoat. I completely meant to put this over all of the other colors to see how it looks and I totally forgot. Because I'm crazy, lol. But it looks pretty over the brown! This is one coat plus topcoat. It did not dry gritty at all.

Overall, I was pleased with these polishes. The color selection on the website looks to be pretty standard but the formula was nice and easy to work with! I would definitely try their polish again and now I'm very curious about their makeup line!

Have you heard of Aurora Cosmetics or tried any of their products? What do you think?

Round 15 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time again for Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The Little Canvas. This time, I chose a floral design, which I know doesn't sound anything like something I would like.... HAHAHAHHAAHA!! Did you believe that for a second? Like I would ever not like a floral anything :-) Anyway, this is a design by Ashley from Plump & Polished.

I quite liked this design! What do you think?

Colores de Carol Beach Boys Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

The Beach Boys collection from Colores de Carol was released earlier this summer but I'm super slow and am just now getting around to swatching these neons! Yikes. There are 7 polishes here so let's get to them.

For the sake of me not repeating myself, all of these polishes were layered over white and I didn't use a topcoat for any of these. As they are neons, they dried matte. AND with the exception of one polish, they were all two coats.

Good Vibrations is a neon yellow.

Do You Wanna Dance? is a bright orange.

All Summer Long is a bright coral pink.

Surfin' USA is a brighter pink than All Summer Long.

Fun Fun Fun is a fuchsia. This was 3 coats. This polish was a bit streaky but also somehow too thick? I had some issues with this polish and had to reapply this color several times.

Sail On Sailor is a bright cobalt blue.

I Get Around is a bright neon green. This is a little bit brighter in person and as you can see, I had to adjust my camera settings to capture some of the neon, lol.

These colors are really pretty but can be a bit tricky to work with. You have to work quickly but precisely because they tend to dry fast and can look uneven if you have overlapping brush strokes.

LOOK Nail Color for Fall 2015

Hey guys!

Press Sample

LOOK Nail Color recently sent me their back to school collection and that is what we are looking at today!

These are pretty typical fall or Halloween colors, but the formula and consistency is really nice. The pictures below are all with topcoat.

Pistachio, 2 coats.

Orange, 2 coats.

Lavender is a deep purple. This was one coat!

Black was almost one coat, but I did two because there was a tiny bit of streaking.

I did a little bit of random makeup brush splatter nail art with these colors. I quite like it!

You can purchase LOOK Nail Color via their website.

FanGirl Polish Fish Are Friends, Not Food Duo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample
I purchased this set using a blogger discount.

Yayyy more polishes from Fangirl Polish! This time, Jess released a duo inspired by Finding Nemo called Fish Are Friends, Not Food. Let's get to the pictures!

Anemo-nemone is an orange jelly with white and black glitters in assorted sizes. This was 3 coats and topcoat. There is a ton of glitter in this polish so you could do 2 coats if you wanted a little more sheer look.

Escapè is a medium blue jelly packed with blue, yellow, black, and white glitters in different sizes. There is soooo much glitter in this polish! This was 3 coats and topcoat.

Both of these polishes are a little bit thick due to all of the glitter but it is not even remotely difficult to work with and also means no 'fishing' for glitters! Hahaha, see what I did there???

Pretty & Polished Week - Day 5 - Mardi Gras Rendezvous

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

And the final day of Pretty & Polished week is here.

I am super lame for showing you polishes that cannot be purchased and I apologize but this is just too pretty!

Mardi Gras Rendezvous is another polish from the monthly Beauty Box that Pretty & Polished curates. This is a dark burgundy base packed with pink, blue, purple, green, and I think I see a few orange glitters in the mix, as well.

This was 3 coats plus top coat and covered nicely. The glitters were dense enough to provide adequate coverage but it wasn't so thick that it was a pain to apply.

I hope that you enjoyed Pretty & Polished Week! Maybe you discovered a new brand or some new polishes from this brand that you enjoy!

As always, if you have any suggestions for brands to feature, let me know and I'll see what I can do!

Pretty & Polished Week: Day 2 - Blues

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Pretty & Polished Week continues and today we have some blues!

As you probably should most definitely know by now, blue is my favorite color and it simply can't be helped. I don't even realize that I gravitate towards blue so much until I look at my clothes or nail polish and then I see the mass of blue! LOL

So today we have two blues from Pretty & Polished.

Tales of Lagoona is a polish from the monthly Beauty Box that Pretty & Polished offers, and is not available for purchase. Whoops. Regardless, it's a beautiful color and the picture below shows 3 thin coats plus topcoat. There's a tiny bit duochrome in this polish, too!

Sea Spray is an older shade that has been brought back for a limited time. It's a blue jelly with scattered holo that was opaque in 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Pretty & Polished Week!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Welcome to another installment of Indie Week. Or... Indie Feature Week? Or... something more catchy, lol. Suggestions for a name for this feature are welcome, lol.

This week we are talking about Pretty & Polished, one of my favorite indie brands. I believe my very first indie purchase was from Pretty & Polished, the famous Jawbreaker.

We're going to start off with I'll Never Kiss And Spell, which I cannot find on the website so it might not be available anymore, sorry!! This is a medium pink scattered holo.

Rust Have Red is a dark red holo.

I hope you all have a good weekend! Do you have any fun plans??

Bonita Gel On Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Bonita Colors recently released some Gel-On colors, meant to last like a gel polish without need for a UV light to cure the polish. I purchased mine at Rite-Aid and I believe there were 6 colors available.

The Best Mint is a bright mint green. I did two coats but this was very close to being opaque in 1. I added topcoat for this swatch.

Lovers & Friends is bright orange pink neon. This was more pink in person but was showing straight up orange on camera. This was 2 coats with no topcoat.

My Avatar is a bright cobalt blue and was perfect and I love it and  it's gorgeous. This was a little bit more sheer, though and needed 3 coats. I also added topcoat. Don't know why I skipped the topcoat for the Lovers & Friends polish, lol.

I really liked these polishes, but I really like all of the Bonita polishes that I've tried. They are affordable and have very good formulas.

Have you tried any Bonita polishes?

Glam Polish Hey Ya

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Glam Polish is one of those brands that I don't think can do any wrong. They have gorgeous polishes, amazing formulas, and even though they are an international brand, they have a shipping station in the U.S., right here in Michigan, to be precise! So no expensive shipping rates or long waits for beautiful polishes!

Hey Ya is a gold micro holo glitter. And this picture does it no justice because it's beautiful and amazing. And I want all of the Glam Polishes ever, okay? Thanks.

Oh, by the way, this was 2 coats, lol.

Polished For Days Summer Days 2.0

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 3 of the Summer Days 2.0 polishes from Polished For Days to feature today! Honestly, I purchased 5 polishes and already wore them and have no clue where the photos wandered off sooo.... yeah.....

First is Beaches Be Tripping, maybe one of the greatest polish names of all time. This was 2 coats with topcoat and had a really easy formula. Thick but easy to work with.

Slippery When Wet is a beautiful dark blue and has a fantastic formula, ALMOST opaque in 1 coat. I did 2 plus topcoat.

Don't Over Pink It is a neon pink crelly with blue, silver, aqua, white and gold glitters in assorted shapes and sizes. Obvy the circle glitter is my favorite. This was 2 coats with topcoat.

Polished for Days is a new brand to me and so far, I'm thoroughly impressed! Her crellies are ON POINT with perfect formulas and I am loving her glitters and holos, too! Definitely going to be seeing some more from Polished for Days on the blog :-)

Allure & butter LONDON Arm Candy Polishes

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have 6 of the Limited Edition polishes released in collaboration with Allure from butter LONDON to show you guys! There is also a set that you can purchase that has 4 additional colors in it and those look gorgeous too! Let's get to it!

Nude Stilettos is a sheer nude. This was two coats, no topcoat. This is more sheer and nude than I usually care for but I'm envisioning some delightful jelly sandwiches with this polish in the future!

I'm On The List is a pearly rose gold color. This had a really great formula and was even in two coats. Dare I say, you might have been able to do one coat, as it has a thicker formula but I went ahead and used two.

Statement Piece is a bright orangey red creme. This was also 2 coats!

It's Vintage is a reddish brown color. Quite different and I really liked it! This was also 2 coats.

Lust or Must is described as a "charcoal brown" creme. This is a very different color to anything in my collection. I like it! 2 coats.

Disco Nap is a black polish with silver glitter. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

I did a little bit of nail art with the two most unique colors in the collection, It's Vintage and Lust or Must? I thought the color combination was really fun. Excuse the cleanup, I always do my nails at night and this night I decided to start doing a gradient manicure at 1130pm.... Not my best idea, lol. But I really liked how this gradient turned out!

You can purchase these polishes from butterlondon.com.  They are limited edition so I'm not sure how long they will be available for purchase!
