Salon Perfect Flower Manicure

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a simple little flower manicure using some of the polishes that I won from a recent Nail Glossip from Salon Perfect!

I used Traffic Cone as my base, two coats. As a neon, it dried matte. Then I picked out the bar glitters and circle glitters to make the flower and flower "foliage". I'd love to tell you the name of this polish but there is no label on the bottom. (EDIT: Duh Amanda, google. It's called Spider Legs!) This took some time but it wasn't anything outrageous. I added two coats of topcoat and called it good.

What do you think? I like it!

Native War Paints

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a cute little dotticure using 3 of the Native War Paints Cozy Sweater polishes. I used Cozy Sweater, Sweater Weather, and Sweater Dress. Pretty simple, I just used my dotting tool. Cozy Sweater was one coat!

It looks like a turtle, I think, lol. But I like it! Whatchu think?

Colores de Carol Summer Holos

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Yep, summer holos. That are being featured in the fall. Hey listen, if I buy a polish, I am not the fastest at reviewing it, lol.

That being said, Colores de Carol released some beautiful jewel toned holo's that work for any season, in my opinion.

Sapphire Princess is a dark blue holo. This had a nice formula, was opaque in two coats. Topcoat added.

Malachite is dark teal holo. Again, really great formula and opaque in two coats. Topcoat added.

See what I mean? These colors are perfect for fall and really, who cares what season you wear a specific color anyway? LOL

Are you sick of seeing blues and greens on my blog yet? Whoops...

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By The Season

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

For nails inspired by the season, I decided to attempt the magical drag marble on a nail decal. Wait, what? You know. The things where magical people use a toothpick to drag an intricate design through wet polish and it looks freaking amazing except that IT'S NOT ACTUALLY POSSIBLE, OF THIS I AM SURE! Anyway, I attempted to do it, so here is my sad attempt, lol.

I used Native War Paints Sweater Dress for my nails and made a nail decal on my UberChic Mat (UberMat? I don't know what it's called, ha) using Cozy Sweater and Sweater Weather. CLEARLY I am not good at this but it's not completely crappy. Right? RIGHT??

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies takes on this prompt!

Round 17: Bestie Twin Nails With The Little Canvas

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time for another Bestie Twin Nails with my buddy Alaina from The Little Canvas. You know the drill: let's get to the good stuff.

For this post, Alaina picked a candy corn dotticure, because she's obsessed with seasonal manicures, lol. I'm not big on them personally but this was cute without being too Halloween-y for me.

As always, I used the same brand for my manicure and this time, it was China Glaze. I came across my beloved Riveting while I was reorganizing my helmer drawers a few weeks ago and forgot how much I love it. Okay that's not true, but I forgot that I haven't used it in a while so I new that I wanted to use it soon.

This manicure inspiration required a naked nail so I used my Nailtiques base coat and then dotted Riveting, Solar Power and White Cap and slapped on some topcoat. This is probably the fastest manicure I have ever done, lol. It was so simple! I quite like it! It's festive but not over the top.

Be sure to check out Alaina's dots, even though she cheated and used acrylic paint :-p

Oh my gosh you guys probably should know that Alaina and I text every day and watch tv shows together even though we live in different states and I leave the most blah and boring and sometimes mean comments on her stuff but it's totally just me being sarcastic and funny and she knows I'm just kidding. So yeah. I'm not really mean, lol!!

Nine Zero Lacquer Holo-ween

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Nine Zero Lacquer released a Halloween trio and I have one of the polishes from the trio to share with you today. I posted Swamp Thing on my Instagram last week but decided to dedicate an entire post to Holo-ween :)

Holo-ween is n orange jelly base, packed with orange holo glitter. This was 2 coats of polish but this guy is a top coat eater and needed 2 thick coats of topcoat so as not to feel any texture.

These polishes are available in a trio or individually. Do you love this color? I do!

Great Lakes Lacquer The Friends Collection, Part 2

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Great Lakes Lacquer is back with the second part of their Friends collection, consisting of 5 polishes that are inspired by the friends that most of us have in our lives.

The Polish Fairy Godmother is an orangey rust red with blue shimmer. The formula on this was a bit thick but I made it work. I used topcoat for these swatches. This was 2 coats.

The Animal Advocate is plum wine linear holo with fuschia flakies. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat and I'm please to report that this polish (and the polishes hereafter) all have the pretty perfect formula that Great Lakes Lacquer has delivered through the first part of the Friends collection and the monthly limited edition polishes they've released.

The Evil Enabler is a deep deep purple jelly with orange glitter and orange holo glitter. This was 3 coats, plus topcoat. I love the combination of the dark jelly and orange glitters; it's quite unique.

The Enigmatic Soul is a cobalt jelly with blue shimmer. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

The Traveling Linguist is a warm bronze jelly filled with gold shimmer. I used 3 coats for this, plus topcoat. I love this color brown!

Be sure to check out GLL monthly Limited Edition polishes and the Friends Collections on her Etsy Shop!

butter LONDON Shadow Clutch - Swatches and Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

butter LONDON recently released two ShadowClutch eyeshadow palettes, complete with interchangeable eyeshadows. I have swatches of one of the palettes and two of the duos to show you today!

The Natural Charm palette comes with 6 primer-infused, oil absorbing, skin-balancing shadows that pack on true color payoff. The colors in this palette are:
Linen - Matte Vanilla
Quartz - Warm Beige Sheen
Camo - Dark Khaki Sheen
Camel - Matte Nude
Citrine - Coral Sheen
Leather - Matte Chocolate Brown

As I mentioned, you can slide the rows of eyeshadows and change out one or more colors, if you choose. There are 4 duos available to change up your ShadowClutch shadows.

The Moody Blues duo has Sapphire, a blue satin and Sequins, a mint satin eyeshadow.

The Fancy Flutter duo has Feather, a beige satin and Plume, a duochrome that shifts from red to blue.

ARE YA SEEING THAT DUOCHROME?!

I was really impressed with these eyeshadows, they are soft and creamy and blend easily. Because they are so soft, they are a bit powdery and there is a little bit of fallout. However this is easily brushed away.

I used these eyeshadows for a week and really enjoyed them. I do wish you could purchase an empty palette to store the extra shadows. Maybe someday!

Have you tried any butter LONDON cosmetics? What do you think? Do you like these colors??

Twinsie Tuesday: Ruffians

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I'll be honest: ruffian manicures are not my favorite. It's like a reverse french tip and no. Just no. Do not love, lol. But I missed last week's prompt because I was sick so I didn't want to miss this week's, as well!

I grabbed the three new OPI's I purchased at IMATS: It's A Piazza Cake, I Cannoli Wear OPI, and Berlin There, Done That.

I used two coats of It's A Piazza Cake. This had a nice formula, smooth and easy to apply. Then I dotted I Cannoli Wear OPI and Berlin There, Done That for my floral ruffian crown. This definitely didn't turn out the way I had pictured it, but it's not terrible. Right? LOL. I need to figure out a way to make my dots smaller. I have about a billion dotting tools in assorted sizes so clearly I am the issue and not the tools!! :-p

Whatchu think? Do you like ruffian manicures??

Foreo Luna Mini - Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample Affiliate Link

Today I have a review of the Foreo Luna Mini facial cleanser! I was really excited to try this facial cleansing 'brush', as I have used the Clarisonic Mia before and wanted to compare the two!

The Foreo Luna Mini comes in 5 colors: Cool Grey, Petal Pink, Magenta, Purple, and Turquoise Blue, which is the color I chose. The very first thing I noticed about the Luna Mini in comparison to the Clarisonic is that it's very lightweight. While the Luna doesn't have a handle, per se, it is easy to hold with a silicone soft touch grip and an indent where you turn the Luna on, which also doubles as a nice spot to grip the Foreo.

The Luna Mini offers two speeds and that is perfect for me. I like the slower speed for all over face cleansing and use the faster speed for cleansing my jaw and neckline. There is a pause in vibration after 30 seconds, which indicates that you should focus the Foreo Luna Mini on a different part of your face. I prefer the pause in vibration instead of the brush turning off altogether, as the Clarisonic does.

Another thing that I love about the Foreo versus the Clarisonic is that you don't have to replace the heads! I was always terrible at remembering how long it had been since I had changed the Clarisonic head and I LOVE that I don't even have to think about it with the Foreo Luna Mini.

One more pro for the Foreo Luna Mini is how long the charge lasts. I charged it once and have been using it for about a month with no need to charge again! That is awesome and also perfect for those who travel frequently and don't want to haul a charging cord with them. I should mention that the Foreo Luna is charged via a short USB cord so it can be charged right from your computer AND it charges very quickly.

I'm pretty impressed with this guy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a facial cleansing brush!

Foreo was kind enough to provide a discount code for my readers! Use the code FASHIONFOOTING for 10% off the Luna or the Luna Mini, plus Free Shipping!

Code is valid from 10/16/15-11/7/15, so act quickly!

Mid West Lacquer I Have The Power!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose
I received this polish as part of a giveaway prize!

This is my first Mid West Lacquer! I always love trying new brands, but sometimes it's overwhelming because there are so many indie brands! When I win a giveaway and there are multiple brands in the package, that makes me happy because I can try new brands all at once! :)

I Have the Power! is a dark berry colored jelly with gold flakes. This was pretty sheer and needed 4 coats plus topcoat. Even so, it has a nice formula and didn't look thick and clumpy at 4 coats. It's such a beautiful color, perfect for fall!

Have you tried Mid West Lacquer? Are there any colors I *must* try next??

NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquers - Swatches & Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have 4 of the 12 NYC Expert Last Lip Lacquers to share with you! These offer a lipstick intensity with the shine of a gloss.

Normally, I would do lip swatches of these but I've been sick for a few days and I really didn't want to subject you to a sick face with dry lips so I just have hand swatches, I'm sorry! But it's for your own good, lol. No one wants to see sick person lip swatches!!

The formula on these is not thick or thin. It's sort of a sheer opaque, if that makes any sense.

Riverside Romance is a light coral cream color.

Chelsea Cherry Blossoms is a pale nude. This gloss does have tiny shimmer in it but it's not overwhelming to the gloss at all. This is not a color that is flattering on me, since I have such fair skin and barely pigmented lips. This was the most sheer of the colors that I tried.

Lincoln Square Love Affair is a mid-tone pink cream.

Madison Square Mauve is a midtone mauve. This also has some mild shimmer, but again, nothing overwhelming.

I really liked these and aside from the color that is just a bit too light for me, they are all lovely colors!

These retail for $3.99 are available at retailers nationwide!

Noodles Nail Polish Beach Baby

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose
I received this polish in a giveaway prize!

A few weeks ago, I won Pinwheel Polish's giveaway which featured several indie brands! Quite a few of the brands were new to me so I was excited to try them out!

Noodles Nail Polish was one of the polishes included. Beach Baby is a nude crelly with matte pink, green, orange, and light blue hex glitters. This was 3 coats, plus two coats of top coat. The glitters were easy to get on the nail and no fishing was required.

I like this polish, it feels like summer and I'm all for hanging onto summer for as long as possible! :-)

Zoya Focus & Flair - My Picks!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 6 of the polishes from the 2 Zoya collections released this fall: Focus and Flair.

Charli is a dusty green taupe creme. I call this color camo green. This was opaque in one coat! Shown with topcoat.

Tris is described as a blackened brushed nickel. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Aggie is described as "gold holo flip liquid metal with bronze micro glitter". Whoa. That's a mouthful. 2 coats, with topcoat.

Cinnamon is a dark bronze metallic. I love rich colors like this and this was 2 easy coats plus topcoat.

Ember is a fiery red metallic. So So SOOO gorgeous! 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Finally, Estelle is slightly blackened blue metallic. Of course I love this :) Again, 2 coats plus topcoat.

I love these colors for fall! They are rich and metallic and pretty typical Zoya. They all had a very nice formula to apply, as well! I didn't notice any staining with Estelle BUT I did only swatch it. However, I don't use a base coat when I swatch and there was no staining.

Did you buy any polishes from either collection? What are your favorites?

Polish 'M & Love, Angeline Halloween Duo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Sooooo this is apparently the week of showing polishes that you can't purchase, whoops! This is the Halloween Duo from Polish 'M and Love, Angeline. This has sold out and as far as I know, there are no plans for a restock.

Polish 'M's contribution is called Spooktacular. This is a white crelly with purple, yellow, orange, and black glitters in assorted sizes and shapes. The glitters were abundant in this polish and no fishing was required. This took 3 coats to cover completely and I added one coat of topcoat.

Love, Angeline's contribution is called A Little Batty. This is a black jelly with purple, green, and yellow circle glitters, with microglitters abounding throughout. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. Again, no fishing required; the glitters were easily applied to the nail.

What do you think of these? I love black jellies so I'm partial to the Love, Angeline but they are both really fun for Halloween!

Twinsie Tuesday: Recreate A Twinsie's Mani

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are recreating manicures that other Twinsies have done. I was scrolling through the Twinsie Tuesday hashtag and came across this post from Kelly at Tuxarina and wanted to try because... duh, cookies.

Now, I don't know if you know this or not but, when I do all of my posts (or at least most of them) I use polishes from my untrieds pile. So that limits some of the color palettes because I don't always have the exact colors that I need. You might ask "why not just use colors that aren't untried" and the answer is: because I'm crazy and this is how my mind works, lol!

ANYWAY, I used Zoya Savita, from the Matte Velvet collection. Then I drew cookies using Zoya Cinnamon and added dots using Tris. I added a shiny topcoat and voila. Cookie nails.

Too Fancy Lacquer Don't Drink The Water

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a Too Fancy Lacquer to show you today. I only have one other TFL but it is beautiful so I had high hopes for this polish as well. I wish I could tell you where I purchased this polish, but I honestly don't remember. It might have been from one of the stockists listed on the Too Fancy website.

Don't Drink The Water is a charcoal gray shimmer and this baby was opaque in one coat! I added one coat of topcoat.

This color isn't listed on the TF website but I confess that I did not check all of the stockist websites to see if it was available on any of those pages!

Have you tried Too Fancy Lacquer before? What are your favorites, if so?

Sally Hansen Fall 2015 Designer Inspired Shades

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have 4 of the polishes from the Fall 2015 Designed Inspired shades from Sally Hansen to share with you!

Concrete Jungle is a medium gray creme. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Yummy Yam is a strange but super interesting butterscotch/yam color. This was 2 coats, with topcoat.

Leaf Peeper is a medium mauve color. Again, 2 coats plus topcoat.

Midnight Affair is a dark blue navy. 2 coats, plus topcoat.

These are some interesting colors, and I quite like them! The formula on all of the colors that I tried was easy to work with and covered nicely in two coats.

I believe there are 9 shades in total; have you seen any of these colors in stores? What do you think?
