Marching on.... haha.. get it? Haha. Okay. Anyway, today's green is Zoya Vespa, a sage green Pixie Dust. I've spoken of my love for the Pixie Dusts before and so I won't dust off that soapbox (bahahahaa. Man, I'm on a roll!) but yes, I still love Pixie Dusts.

This was a bit sheer and needed 3 coats for opacity.

Zoya Sage

Zoya Sage is a satin finish and when I think of sage green, this is exactly the color that comes to mind. This was 2 coats and while it does dry to a satin finish, it was a bit uneven so I did use a wax topcoat on this polish. I love this color, though!

Round 33! Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

So last month's BTN was super late and this month's is super early, lol! We wanted to do something for the Super Bowl and were inspired by a post from Kelli Marissa (formerly the Nail Polish Challenge).

I used my trusty Zoya polishes again. They have the best colors and creme finishes for nail art! I also like to use the same brand for nail art, I know it's weird. And I have the most Zoya creme polishes, lol.

Willa (black)
Emilia (Brown)
Purity (White)
Hunter (Green)

Clearly I need a better detail brush and to practice straight lines, lol!! I also used the Pretty & Polished Wax topcoat to mattify this mani.

Are you a fan of the Super Bowl? I don't have a pony in this race but I'm rooting for the.... (insert team here that won't upset anyone) LOL!!

Round 32 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas! Zoya Stripes!

And here we are for another Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas. For this month, we wanted to do something to incorporate some yellow because blech to this time of the year for the weather, amiright?

I figured that I might as well finish off Zoya week using some of my favorite Zoya polishes for this nail art. I used Willa, Pippa, and Kelly, and a dotting tool.

I used 2 coats of Pippa on my index finger, two coats of Willa on the pinky, and then 2 coats of Kelly and Pippa on the middle and ring fingers. Then, using the dotting tool, I dotted Willa over those colors for the stripe patterns.

I even did a traditional The Little Canvas pose, haha.

What do you think? I love yellow, whether it's in polish or anything else. It's just so happy and cheery, don't you think??

Zoya Week, Day 3!

The final day of Zoya Week is here!

Alice is one of the Pixie Dusts that was released in the winter Enchanted collection. This is a lovely periwinkle Pixie and covered in 2 coats.

Lake is a pale blue creme. Such a simple color, to be honest but it's just so pretty. This was 2 coats.

Waverly is a brilliant sapphire blue Pixie. This wasn't quite as magical as I was expecting, to be honest. It covered in 2 coats, though.

Tilda is a grass green creme, perfect for this year's Pantone Color of the Year (Greenery). This had a great formula and covered in 2 coats.

Zoya Week, Day 2!

More Zoya swatches from the Black Friday sale today!

This is Tru, a charming eggplant purple with gold shimmer. This has been on my list for a long long time so I'm so happy to finally own this polish! This was 2 coats.

Aster is a lilac with silver shimmer. A little thin, and needed 3 coats for opacity.

Faye is described as a "Bronzed mauve with purple and brown undertones and gold sparkle". This is in the same family as Zoya's Daul, which is one of my favorite Zoya's ever. This is a bit sheer, and needs 3 coats.

Zoya Week!

On Black Friday, Zoya blessed us with the best Black Friday sale ever, offering a whopping 70% off everything! WHAT! Yep. I had to take advantage of that and ordered several polishes, which I will be showing you this week!

We'll start with Rocha, a beautiful red orange creme. This was two coats.

Next is Dixie, a bright pink creme and is supposedly a 1 coater, but this definitely needed 2 coats. And even then, it wasn't really perfect.

Heather is a light lavender purple with a very subtle shimmer. This was 3 coats.

Lastly for this post, Perrie, a delightful orchid creme. This had a great formula and was opaque in 2 coats.

More Zoya to come tomorrow and Thursday! GET PUMPED, YO!

Zoya Urban Grunge Collection - My Picks! Plus A Giveaway!

I absolutely loved the Zoya Urban Grunge collection for Fall this year but I was super good and only bought a few polishes during the Zoya Trade In promo (essentially only paying for three polishes). These are all amazing so let's just get to it.

August is a slate gray creme. This is probably a one coater except that I had the tiniest patch that I needed to level out so I just did two coats on all of the nails, lol. AMAZING formula. Seriously.

Mallory is a deep cobalt blue creme. Clearly this was essential for me to own, as I own nothing like this.... heehee. Okay fine. But I love this color!

Wyatt is a deep hunter green creme. This was 1 coat. Amazing formula. Dead. Dying. Done.

Alicia is a silver holo with a touch of gold holographic glitter. This looks rather generic in the bottle but it's truly stunning on the nail. This was 2 coats.

Finley is a deep royal purple with Zoya's tried and true scattered holo formula. I LOVE this shade of purple. It is so rich and royal and just... ughhhh so pretty! This was 2 coats.

And then OBVIOUSLY there is Merida. Like... there are no words. This is amazing. It's stunning. Glorious. Rich. Luxe. FREAKING AMAZING. Just go buy it immediately.

Round 28 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

It's time again for another Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The little Canvas. I am going to be honest some more, lol: I told Alaina we needed a really easy manicure for this month because I've been crazy busy, lol.

So we picked a simple black to gray gradient. I used Zoya Storm and Trixie for a bright shiny sparkly gradient. Since Trixie is so metallic, the lines weren't very blended but I still like it!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Pantone 2016

I'm going to be very honest: I hate the pantone colors this year. Pastels are not my thing, especially pastel pinks, lol. But I sucked it up and grabbed two lovely colors from Zoya and did a very simple gradient/flakie combination!

Zoya Brittany is a pale pink putty color in a satin finish, and Kristen is the pale blue creme. I did a vertical gradient with these and topped them with Zoya's Maisie. The colors in the flakie don't really show up these lighter colors but it is still pretty!

Round 26: Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

BTN Time with Alaina from The Little Canvas!

This time we wanted something simple but still sort of bright and summery.

I used Zoya Ling as my base color (two coats), then used Purity and Willa on a fan brush and did little half lines on my nails. It's SO SIMPLE but I honestly loved these nails so much!

Do you love these? I don't now why I love these so much but I really do!

Zoya Seashells Collection

Today I have the Zoya Seashells collection. If you know me, you know I LOVE the Zoya Pixie Dusts and I was soooo excited that they released a new collection because the word on the street was that there would be no more Pixie Dusts. Alas, they must have heard our cries and delivered our wishes!

The formula's on all of these are good: thick but that's pretty obvious since they are textures. All polishes were opaque in two coats, save for one polish that I will of course note. And clearly there is no topcoat, lol.

Levi is a sandy gold.

Tilly is silvery grey with small holographic glitter.

Zooey is medium pink with gold holo glitter. This is a lovely summer color and reminds me a lot of Harper.

Linds is a cherry red with fuchsia glitter.

Cece is a bright grass green with gold shimmer.

Bay is a sky blue with silver and gold shimmer. This was the only polish that needed 3 coats.

I don't even know if I can pick a favorite because I love them all!

Round 23 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

You know what time it is: BESTIE TWIN NAILS TIME with Alaina from The Little Canvas. Guys. GUYS... we've been doing this feature for almost 2 years!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!? Oh boy, I guess we need to do a giveaway at Round 24, eh? ;-) And lookie!! We have a fancy graphic, courtesy of Sarah from 25_Sweetpea! Thank you!!! We love pineapples.

For this BTN, we decided to do some cute little clouds, inspired by this blog post here. Usually, I would say because this is springtime but it's been snowing and gross here lately and is just now finally starting to resemble spring. Come on, buddy... you can do it! Just warm up and give me some sunshine!

For my base, I used two coats of Zoya's Rocky. I forgot I owned this polish until I was organizing in my helmer drawers last week and it's just so pretty. It's a bright blue but with a hint of gray to it.

Then I dotted some little clouds with Zoya's Purity and drew the little smiley faces on with Willa.

Aren't they cute??

Round 22 of Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas! Splatter!

It's time yet again for another Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The Little Canvas! For this month, we wanted to do a simple splatter manicure using some greens for St. Patrick's Day. We decided to do a gradient under the splatter!

I grabbed a few of my favorite Zoya's and got to work. I started with a base of Zoya Josie, then used Josie and Veruschka for my gradient. I used Zoya Richelle for my splatter and applied a little bit of Maria Luisa for some extra gold fabulousness. And then some INM Out The Door topcoat.

Super splattery, right? Haha.

Sanchez Says... Tea Party Nails

Today I am starting a new series on the blog called Sanchez Says...

What is this, you ask? I'm here to tell you. My friend Sanchez recently asked me if I had some manicures that fell into certain categories and by some, I mean she asked for about 15 different topics/themes, etc., lol. As you know, I am trying to expound on my nail art techniques and practice so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to hold myself accountable and also try some techniques and art that I wouldn't normally (because I literally groaned at one of the suggestions, lol!!)

I started with one of my favorite suggestions: Tea Party Nails. After a quick search, I came across these nails and they were so cute, I didn't even keep looking for others.

The polishes used: (All Zoya)
- Wednesday
- Purity
- Lidia
- Odette
- Logan

I applied 2 coats of Wednesday, the gorgeous minty blueish green, to all of my nails except for the pinky nail, which was the recipient of Odette, a lovely dusty purple color.

Then I used some large dot nail vinyls and some stripe vinyls on my index and ring fingers and applied Purity over those, and then removed the nail vinyl before the polish could dry. I'm still working on getting super crisp lines in this aspect of nail art and you wouldn't think it is that difficult but for me, it's a challenge!

I used Zoya Chyna, one of the original Pixie Dusts, on my index and pinky fingers. Then Zoya Purity on the middle and ring fingers. Pepper, Tart and DOve were used for the red and pink hearts and gray dots.
