Lac Attack Magical Mischief Swatches!

Hey guys!

Today I have swatches of the newest collaboration from Lac Attack and Glitta Gloves: Magical Mischief!

Here are the bottles, all neatly labeled with the labels facing the same way. Sigh. This makes me so happy. I know I mention it every time I review Lac Attack polishes but it is seriously one of the first things I check when I get new polishes, lol.

First, Loony Lovegood, a light purple/lilac jelly with light blue and pink glitter and stars. This was 3 coats. Can you tell I haven't swatched in a while?! This does have topcoat because I was in a terrible hurry and didn't wait at all in between coats. So the lumpiness is 100% my fault.

The Brightest Witch, a teal crelly with assorted purple, black, silver, and turquoise glitters. This was 3 coats, no top coat.

Weasley Is Our King, an orange shimmer. I really liked this one. I don't know why I'm loving orange polish so much but I do! This was 2 coats, no top coat.

 With Flash:

The Chosen One over Weasley Is Our King. This is one coat of the red and gold glitter topper. Very fun!

Close up because CIRCLE GLITTER!

Mad-Eye is a black and blue glitter with tiny bar glitter. This is one coat over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

These all had a very good formula, the error on Loony Lovegood is totally my fault.

The Magical Mischief collection is available for pre-order now on lacattack.com! What are you waiting for?!

SinfulColors Crystal Crushes Review

Hey guys!

*The products in this post were provided for free in exchange for my honest opinion*

Today I have two polishes from the SinfulColors Crystal Crushes collection to share with you!

"Crystal Crushes is a brilliant collection of gem-inspired nail polish shades with multi-faceted 3D texture. Gorgeous matte colors flecked with a reflective pearl finish sure to dazzle your digits and make your heart skip a beat.

Featuring 8 vivid shades sprinkled with an angel dust finish."

The two shades I have are Treasure Chest, a sea green and Got A Blush On You, a fuchsia.

First, Treasure Chest. This was two coats. The formula on these was pretty good, not thick or goopy. I might have been able to do one coat with this shade, if I had used a thicker coat.

Got A Blush On You was the same as Treasure Chest. This is two coats, good formula.

I really liked these. I honestly don't know if I would have purchased these had they not been sent to me but I'm glad I did try them!

These are available exclusively at Walgreens for Fall 2013 for $2.99.

Lac Attack Tricks & Treats

Hey guys!

So these were totally for Halloween but I'm showing them late, whoops. I blame Avery. (when is it not acceptable to blame your kid for things anymore?)

First, Vampire Bite. This is a fuchsia jelly with black glitter and white shards of glitter. 3 coats.

Spiced Pumpkin is a mixture of orange, green, pink glitters. This was only 2 coats! Obvy this is perfect for laying but I used it on its own here.

Sugar Skull is a mixture of square, circle and skull glitters in a clear shimmery base. This is one coat with some blobbage over Sinful Cold Leather. The circle glitters aren't curling, they are a bit holographic! The skull wasn't laying perfectly flat.

There ya go! Check out Ana's shop at LacAttack.com!

Review: SinfulColors Leather Luxe Polishes

Hey guys!

*These polishes were sent to me for free in exchange for my honest opinion*

I have two of the Sinful Colors Leather and Luxe polishes to show you today.

"The Leather Luxe collection features eight weather-warming shades with leather-inspired finished. The best part: they come in every popular base color so there's a leather-licious look for everyone." These are available exclusively at Walgreens this fall.

Cold Leather is an enchanting night sky blue. This was two coats. I am not entirely sure what's happening on the middle finger, to be honest. It didn't want to even out at all. I must have some wicked ridges on that nail? Since it applied perfectly fine on the other nails, I have to assume that error is on me. This dried fairly quickly.

Leather Loose is a safari sinful brown. 2 coats. This applied much nicer than Cold Leather.

I had to add topcoat to this to see that beautiful shimmer! So pretty!!

What do you guys think of these? I love the idea of matte nail polish and I enjoy it on others but I feel like it just looks strange on me. Maybe that's in my head? What do you think? Do you like plain matte polish? And I like the color of Cold Leather but much prefer Leather Loose as it applied better and it has that lovely shimmer!

Review: Northern Star Polish

Hey guys!

I received some goodies from Kristen at Northern Star Polish to share with you!

Kristin is releasing her winter collection TODAY so whoohoo! Oh! Before I forget, my nails are super short right now, sorry :-/

There's quite a few pictures, so let's get to it!

First, I love her packaging. I don't always keep the boxes that polish comes in (although I have been lately) but I love the ingredients clearly listed on the box.

First up, Aurora, "inspired by the Queen of the Snows, a deep blue jelly polish with color shifting and holographic sparkles reminiscent of the northern lights."

This was 3 thin coats. This had a good formula, easy to apply and was a nice consistency.
 Natural Light:
 Direct Sun:

Next is Glacial Illusions, "a milky white crelly base with teal, purple, and silver glitters."

This was 3 coats. I first thought this was going to need undies but it built up nicely after the second coat. And I totally dinged my index finger, bah!

Finally, she included a cuticle oil. This is Super Elf, "a special seasonal scent of candy canes & bubbly sugar sweetness because we can all use an injection of magical elf motivation during the holidays."

I've used Kristin's cuticle oil before (Kiss Kiss) and it smells good enough to drink! However, I LOVE that this comes in a tube with this kind of applicator. I've used this several times and it's moisturizing but not greasy. And it smells like candy :-)

So there ya go. Check out Kristin's Etsy shop here, follow her on Facebook and go check out her new winter collection!
