Pink Wednesday: Sally Hansen Caribbean Coral

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday. I totally thought today was Thursday all morning. Phooey. Must be Leap Day messing with my clock! :-p

Sally Hansen Caribbean Coral. I'm all about the coral lately. I must be ready for spring :-)

Two coats, no top coat. Nice creamy application. I'm finding these little Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear guys to be very nice nail polishes to have. I used to think Sally Hansen was for older ladies. I have no idea why, though ???

Then a layer of China Glaze Nova, because a bright pink coral nail polish is not catchy enough for me.

Spoiled Trust Fund Baby

Hey guys!

I snagged a few of the new Spoiled polishes while I was at CVS a while back. Since I don't have a CVS near me, I always stop in and browse when I happen across one during my travels :-)

Trust Fund Baby is a pink, blue, silver, and black hex glitter. Love!

This is two coats with no top coat. The glitter wasn't too difficult to manipulate with the brush, so that was a pleasant surprise. It seems like it's a crap shoot as to how hard you will have to work to apply some glitters, especially those in a clear bare.

Are you liking this combination?

Sally Hansen Thinking Of Blue

Hey guys! Welcome to Monday and more layering fun times :-)

Another clearance CVS goodie today :-)

Thinking of Blue is a royal blue creme polish.

This is two coats, no top coat. Very nice application, not a lot of cleanup was needed. Hurrah!

What do you think? And what do you think is going to go over this baby??

Essie As Gold As It Gets

Hey guys!

And the sparkly layering begins! Technically, this isn't a glitter but it's still shiny and happy and sparkly so who cares, right?! :-p

This is Essie As Gold As It Gets from the Luxe Effects collection. It is layered over Sally Hansen Black Platinum.

Ohhhh.... gold-y!!

I really enjoy this polish from Luxe Effects more than Shine of the Time. I have Nubar 2010 and it was basically the same thing. I guess I don't need two identical flakies in my collection. Look at me, I sound like a grown up! Ha!

Sally Hansen Black Platinum

Hey guys!

The next series of posts is going to be all about layering! I have some fantastic glitters that I need to try and this will be the perfect way to try a whole bunch! Do you guys like the theme weeks? Or do you not care at all and just want me to give you stuff? Haha!

I have some polishes coming up that I got 75% off at CVS in the beginning of January. Yay for inexpensive polish!

Black Platinum is a black creme polish with the most subtle blue hidden shimmer. This applied very nicely and not a lot of clean up was needed. YES!

 Two coats, no top coat.

Any guesses as to what the layering will be for this polish?

Franken Week! Day 5

Hey guys! Happy Friday!

Welcome to the last day of Franken Week! I hope you enjoyed taking a look at some of my little creations. I enjoyed making them :-)

I've saved the best for last! These babies are my favorites!

First up, Blorangeple. Yep, that's right. I couldn't think of a great name for this so I named it the colors I saw: blue, orange, and purple. The orange glitter in this is pretty fabulous!

2 coats, no top coat.

 Blorangeple

Next, up is Cosmic Crisis. This is just phenomenal in person. So glittery, so sparkly, so purple... so... perfect for me!

This is 2 coats, no top coat.

Cosmic Crisis

And finally..... ready for it? Cat Crapped Glitter. I was totally drawing a blank when it came to naming this and I was reading a post from Traci at The Trace Face Philes and she said something about a cat crapping glitter.... I can't remember exactly. But then I thought, well, there is a lot of glitter in here.. It'll work! And so was born "Cat Crapped Glitter."

Black polish LOADED with bar glitter and micro glitter. YESSS!!!

Well, these are my latest franken babies. What do you think?

Franken Week! Day 4

Hey guys!

Day 4 of Franken Week. Are you liking my creations? I'm posting my favorites closer to the end of the week.. sort of saving the best for last :-)

Today we have some blue/greens. First, is this teal beauty with various glitters throughout. I named this one Princess Juice.

This is 3 coats, no top coat. It's not as gritty as it looks in person but it would definitely benefit from a top coat.

 Princess Juice

Next up, is a teal, blue, gray concoction I named Zenith. It is soooo stinking pretty in the bottle! I was hoping it would somehow apply with the magical swirls that were in the bottle, lol.

How do you feel about these two babies? Love 'em or leave 'em?

Franken Week! Day 3 And Pink Wednesday!

Hey guys!

Day 3 of Franken Week!

First today, is Posie. This is Busted's pinky purple sibling. With glitter. Duh.

3 coats, no top coat.
 Posie

Next is Raspberry Supahman. I thought it looked like Superman ice cream, if that were a real thing for nail polish. Oh wait, now it is!! Yeah-uh!

2 coats, no top coat. This is darker on the nail than it looks here and I am bummed the hex glitter didn't make an appearance as much as I wanted it to :-(

So, what do you guys think?

Franken Week! Day 2

Hey guys!

Yay more frankens! Let's get to them, shall we?

First up today, a rather ugly orange brown with sparse bar glitter. You might be saying "Why did you make such a color if you think it's ugly?" And the answer is: I gave up. I thought it was not as bad as it looked in the bottle. I named this one: Glitter Gravy. Yeah.

3 coats, no top coat.

 Glitter Gravy

Next is Busted. Busted is an orange brown base with blue, green, and silver micro glitter throughout. I named this after my dog, Buster. We sometimes call him Busted, and he's about a million different colors :-)

Franken Week! Day 1

Hey guys! Happy Monday!

I'm pretty excited for Franken Week!

I decided to do a whole week of franken fun. Now, my frankens aren't spectacular or anything amazing, but I think they are fun. And they are obviously glittery :-)

First up, is a franken I named "I Dare You." This is a red jelly polish with gold shimmer. As you can probably tell from my blog, I don't wear red often. But here we have a bright red polish. Who woulda thunk it, right?

This is 3 coats, with no top coat.

 I Dare You

Next up, we have "Orange You Glad I'm Glittery?" This is a red orange color, with large multi-colored hex glitter mixed throughout. For someone who doesn't care for red or orange, I sure seem to always end up with orange/red/pink frankens!

This is two coats, with no top coat.

Orange You Glad I'm Glittery?

What do you think of my franken babies?
Stay tuned this week for more Franken Fun!
