Different Dimension Stronger with Amy's Nail Boutique Fancy Schmancy

Hey guys!

Whoooo Friday!! I am pumped, I have a 3 day weekend and our baby shower is this weekend! I am so excited!! :-) what are you up to??

Different Dimension released some holos a while back and unless you are new, you know I love me a good holo.

The first one I wore was Stronger, a light blue scattered holo. This was 3 coats, no application problems. And ya know I can't cut down on the holo pictures, so sorry for any slow loading times :-p

What's better than a holo? A holo with GLITTERRRRR!!!! I had picked up Fancy Schmancy a while back and just hadn't gotten around to using it yet (story of my polish life), and I thought it would look super fantastic over this holo beauty. Annnnd guess what? It did :-)

Notice the circle glitter? Yeah. Love! This was two coats.

China Glaze Galactic Gray

Hey guys!

So when I saw the China Glaze Hologlam swatches last year, I think I had a mild stroke. Erhmahgerd, holos!!!! After patiently (?) waiting for them to be released, here is the first one I picked up.

Galactic Gray is a dark gray polish. To me, this is not as linear as I was expecting, but it's still a pretty awesome holo. I used 2 coats, no top coat.

Was I hoping for a little more HOLY CRAP LOOK AT THE RAINBOW?!!? Yes. But, like I said, it's still pretty!

Zoya Valerie

Hey guys!

This Zoya was one I was not familar with but I saw it at a supply store and had to have it!

Valerie is not listed on the Zoya website anymore, other than the color spoon but I'm gonna call this a burgundy purple shimmer... This was 2 perfect Zoya coats.

Are you a fan of Valerie?

OPI Stay The Night

Hey guys!

Hoping you had a wonderful holiday weekend.

When all of these textured polishes started coming out, I really didn't think I would like them. I was willing to give them a try but texture on my nails?? That's why I use topcoat, son!

Alas, they did look beautiful with topcoat so I had to try.

Stay The Night is from the Mariah Carey collection that OPI released earlier this year. It's a black texture with red glitter.

I used 2 coats of Stay The Night. It dried fairly quickly.

Then, I had to add topcoat. I used two coats of Gelous and then one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. And it looks smooth but it still felt a little tiny bit gritty. They are not kidding when they say TEXTURED!

I much prefer this particular color shiny but I've since tried other texture polishes that were fine for me unshiny.

Also, I thought this was going to be a BEAR to remove but it wasn't any worse than a light glitter polish. So yay!

White Owl Lacquer Water Lilies

Hey guys! What are you up to this weekend?? I do not have a long weekend, unfortunately, but hopefully you do!

Have I mentioned that I love circle glitter? Maybe once or twice? Anyway, when I saw these swatches from Mara regarding her new spring collection, I knew I needed most of them!

The first one I'm going to show you is Water Lilies. I layered 2 coats over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The application was fairly easy, although I would have liked more circle glitters. To be fair, I am obsessed with them :-p

OPI You're Such A Budapest and Polka.com

Hey guys!

You're Such A Budapest is from the Spring 2013 Euro Centrale collection. I loveeeee this lilac color... if only it smelled like lilacs! :-)

This was 2 easy coats.

Then I added one coat of Polka.com from the same collection to the middle and ring fingers.  I really love the pink and purple glitter together!

Pink Wednesday: butter LONDON Disco Biscuit with A England And The Mondbeams...

Hey guys! Happy Pink Wednesday!

butter LONDON Disco Biscuit has been on my list for a long time and I finally picked it up a few months ago during a BL promo.

I used 3 thin coats of Disco Biscuit. It's what I would call a jelly. I love the blue shimmer in this!

I added one coat of A England And The Moonbeams because why not?

OPI DS Extravagance with China Glaze Glitz N Pieces

Hey guys!

Today I have some pretty pink goodness for you, in the form of a scattered holo and glitter :-)

I acquired this beautiful OPI DS through my friend Jamie and it sat in my untrieds bin forever and a day because apparenty, that's how I roll. After finally wearing it... what was I thinking letting it sit for so long???

This was 3 coats of OPI DS Extravagance.

Then, I added two coats of China Glaze Glitz 'N Pieces, a silver and black bar and hex glitter. I quite liked this over the OPI.

Do you have either of these polishes?

Nina Ultra Pro Holographic Topcoat

Hey guys!

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty great, we received a completely wonderful gift from a dear group of friends on Friday: our baby crib! So we put that together and also a little 9 cube storage shelf that will house her books and some toys and probably some clothes. Her room is starting to look like a room! Eek!

Then we had dinner with my parents on Saturday and just kind of relaxed on Sunday. Did you do anything fun?

Anyway, today I am finally getting around to uploading pictures that I took forrreevverrrrr ago. I'm soooo behind, it's not even funny! My goal is to have a bunch of posts lined up so that in the coming months I can at least pop on a hit Post!

Blah blah, this is Nina Ultra Pro Holographic Topcoat over a black creme polish. I believe this was two coats.

I obviously liked this. Holo? Yes. Awesome? Yes.

So go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy this, if you can. I don't know if it was LE or part of the new Nina Core Line.

Julep Ally with Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler

Hey guys!

Anyone have any fun weekend plans? We should probably do some yard work and I definitely have a backlog of photos I need to edit and upload but it's supposed to be gorgeous so we will see what actually gets done, lol!

Julep Ally, from the April Maven box (don't ask me which one I picked, I have no idea. I wanna say It Girl...??) is a BRIGHT blue creme-ish shimmer?? Kind of in between a foil and shimmer... a shimmoil?? I don't know. This was 3 coats. It applied very nicely, but there was a stronger smell than I'm used to from Julep. I don't know if it's just this color or I'm crazy or what... just something I thought I would mention.

Anyway, I'm pretty much in love with this vibrant blue!

Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler added some lovely rainbow glitter over Ally. 2 coats of 20% Cooler.

Treasures By Tan Swatches

Hey guys!

I have a few Treasures by Tan polishes for you!

First up, Paranormal, a holo topcoat. I've layered 2 coats over A England Camelot.

Don't Eat The Yellow Snow is a white and yellow glitter with other microglitters. I personally think there should be lots more yellow glitter. I love yellow, it's so happy and fun and I just don't think there is enough!

This is one coat over A England Lancelot.  Not a lot of fishing around, yay!

And Coral Kingdom, a light pink/coral jelly with blue, yellow, and purple hex glitters. This was 3 coats.
