OPI Washington DC Collection for Fall 2016!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC collection to share with you! I have all 15 polishes so let's just get to it! (Side note: I believe there are 3 additional Limited Edition shades available for purchase but I haven't seen those yet!)

First is Pale to the Chief, a true nude with the slightest slightest slight blue shimmer, which was basically not visible at all once applied to the nails. Whoops. This was the tiniest bit sheer after the second coat, but I will say that I also had some blue stained nails so if your nails are not stained smurf blue, you could most likely do 2 coats and have full opacity. For me, I used 3 plus topcoat.

Never A Dulles Moment is a gorgeous sunflower yellow creme. This was 3 coats plus topcoat. I didn't have any issues with formula and I pretty much just expect to do 3 coats for any yellow. I love this color, though!

Freedom of Peach is an orange creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Yank My Doodle is a rusty orangey color, and I quite like this one! This was two coats, plus topcoat.

Madam President is a pinky red (it looks more pink in person) with a FANTASTIC formula. This was 2 coats but alllllmost one.

OPI By Popular Vote is a maroon creme, opaque in two coats.

We The Female is a dark burgundy creme, opaque in 3 coats. This was almost a jelly/crelly consistency.

Kerry Blossom is a deep purple creme. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Suzi - The First Lady of Nails is a gorgeous dark green creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Inside The Isabelletway is a tan creme, 2 coats plus topcoat.

Squeaker of The House is a medium cool toned brown. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Shh... It's Top Secret is a super super super dark brown. This actually looked brown in person but not so much in pictures lol. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Stay Off The Lawn! is a pine green creme. I loved this one, I'm sure you could guess. 2 coats, plus topcoat.

CIA = Color Is Awesome, a dark gray with a tinge of blue. I don't have many colors like this! I like it! 2 coats, plus topcoat.

"Liv" in the Gray is a dark Prussian blue. No surprise that I love this, too. 2 coats, plus topcoat!

I actually really really loved this collection. The yellow and green shades speak to me! LOL

What shades are your favorite??

Painted Polish Swatches

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have some Painted Polish by Lexi polishes to share with you today. I'm ashamed to admit that these have been sitting in my untried rack for months and months and have gone untouched but no more. Let's get to it, shall we?

First is Blinded by Bubbly, a bright champagne gold linear holo glitter. Most of these glitters are best applied by sponging on for better opacity but I didn't do that because it was late at night and I wasn't thinking clearly, lol!! This was 3.5 coats, plus topcoat.

Hey Sailor! is a turquoise based holo glitter. This was 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Mermaid Sighting is a green and blue micro holo glitter. This was 3 coats plus topcoat.

Enchantress is a flakie, multichrome, holo, glitter polish packed with all sorts of goodness. This was 2.5 coats plus topcoat.

Painted Pines is a remarkable pine green with holo glitter. This was 3 coats plus topcoat.

What's your favorite Painted Polish color?

Julie G Shark's Cove with Cameo Colours Right Round

Hey guys!

Did you have a nice weekend? We went to my nephew's birthday party on Saturday and then my brother's college graduation on Sunday! So lots of food and cake this weekend, lol. It was a busy weekend but a nice one :-)

A while back, I was hunting for some polishes for a friend and happened to fall in love with one of the colors she was asking for (thanks Saira :-p).

Julie G Shark's Cove is a lovely seafoamy/turquoise shimmer. This is 3 thin coats. Love love love this! It is so delicate and summery.

Then, I was pleased to find that I won a polish from Cameo Colours through an Instagram contest and when I saw Right Round, I knew that's what I wanted for my prize :-) DO YOU SEE WHY!?

Naturally, I thought these would look fabulous together and yes, yes they do.

This is 2 coats of Right Round. I did have to fish the big circle glitters out a little bit, but I'd recommend leaving the bottle upside down for a few minutes before application and that should help.

White Owl Lacquer Water Lilies

Hey guys! What are you up to this weekend?? I do not have a long weekend, unfortunately, but hopefully you do!

Have I mentioned that I love circle glitter? Maybe once or twice? Anyway, when I saw these swatches from Mara regarding her new spring collection, I knew I needed most of them!

The first one I'm going to show you is Water Lilies. I layered 2 coats over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The application was fairly easy, although I would have liked more circle glitters. To be fair, I am obsessed with them :-p

NOPI Alex By The Books with Jindie Nails Swoon

Hey Guys!

Don't forget to check out what Amanda and Sarah are posting! I can't believe that March is almost over. Crazy!!

Alex by the Books is a light turquoise creme polish from the NOPI Modern Family collection. While it's not a terribly unique color, it's so pretty and lovely for spring. I need spring!

This was two coats, no top coat. While I loathe the NOPI bottle, I have to say, their formula's are consistently solid. I almost never have any issues with NOPI's! Whoot!

I added one coat(ish) of Jindie Nails Swoon. I did have to fish the giant glitter pieces out but I mean, it's kind of awesome, right?

What do you think of the neon glitter trend that's happening in indies? Like it? Love it?

February Untrieds: China Glaze Spam!

Hey guys!

Today's Untrieds Post is a little bit of spam from one of my faaaavorite brands, China Glaze. Of course, you have to go see what Amanda and Sarah are posting!

Urban-Night is a plum creme polish. I love this color, I don't wear purple like very often but it's so so pretty. This was 2 perfectly wonderful coats, no topcoat.

Next,Jolly Holly, which is from a Christmas collection a few years back. I found this polish shopping with my friend Jamie and had to have this green. I mean... look at it!! It's stunning!

Finally, Turned Up Turquoise... DISCLAIMER! This polish is about 50% brighter green/turquoise in person but my camera was freaking out and this is what was translated to the pixels. This is a super fun color, especially for spring and summer! I used 3 thin coats.

Under my lightbox (a tiny bit more accurate but still not as bright!)

Well,  that's all folks!

Cult Nails Let Me Fly

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! Any fun plans? I'm going to the mall... I am going to find some colored pants, since I m suddenly obsessed with them! LOL Anyway, onto today's post!

I don't know how in the world it took me so long to acquire this polish but holy moly, it's gorgeous!

Let Me Fly is a completely stunning turquoise creme with Cult Nails signature shimmer. This was two perfect coats.

Since I am obsessed with The Nailasaurus' glequin manicures, I figured I should attempt a simple Glequin manicure of my own. I followed the tutorial, which is super easy. This definitely took more time than I usually spend on my manicures but I loved it! And it got several compliments at work :-)

Buster's fur as the background :-)
I used Cult Nails Wicked Fast Topcoat, which is also totally amazing!! This lasted for several days!

Happy Saturday!
