Great Lakes Lacquer Swatches!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have 3 Great Lakes Lacquer polishes to share with you today!

Rainbow! Right Here And Now! is a gray jelly with iridescent flakies. I thought the gray with the multicolored flakies was such a cool combination. This is 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Facing North is a periwinkle with multicolored tiny flakies. I am clearly all about the flakies lately; I just can't get enough!! This was 2 coats. Great formula on this polish!

Majick is a deep purple jelly with red shimmer and purple to blue to red flakies. The picture is like eh okay sure. BUT IN PERSON Oh my goodness. This is rather magical. The red shimmer in this is stunning and WAS IMPOSSIBLE to catch in a picture but was sooo glowy and beautiful! This was 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Have you tried Great Lakes Lacquer? What are your faves??

OPI Washington DC Collection for Fall 2016!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC collection to share with you! I have all 15 polishes so let's just get to it! (Side note: I believe there are 3 additional Limited Edition shades available for purchase but I haven't seen those yet!)

First is Pale to the Chief, a true nude with the slightest slightest slight blue shimmer, which was basically not visible at all once applied to the nails. Whoops. This was the tiniest bit sheer after the second coat, but I will say that I also had some blue stained nails so if your nails are not stained smurf blue, you could most likely do 2 coats and have full opacity. For me, I used 3 plus topcoat.

Never A Dulles Moment is a gorgeous sunflower yellow creme. This was 3 coats plus topcoat. I didn't have any issues with formula and I pretty much just expect to do 3 coats for any yellow. I love this color, though!

Freedom of Peach is an orange creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Yank My Doodle is a rusty orangey color, and I quite like this one! This was two coats, plus topcoat.

Madam President is a pinky red (it looks more pink in person) with a FANTASTIC formula. This was 2 coats but alllllmost one.

OPI By Popular Vote is a maroon creme, opaque in two coats.

We The Female is a dark burgundy creme, opaque in 3 coats. This was almost a jelly/crelly consistency.

Kerry Blossom is a deep purple creme. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Suzi - The First Lady of Nails is a gorgeous dark green creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Inside The Isabelletway is a tan creme, 2 coats plus topcoat.

Squeaker of The House is a medium cool toned brown. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Shh... It's Top Secret is a super super super dark brown. This actually looked brown in person but not so much in pictures lol. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Stay Off The Lawn! is a pine green creme. I loved this one, I'm sure you could guess. 2 coats, plus topcoat.

CIA = Color Is Awesome, a dark gray with a tinge of blue. I don't have many colors like this! I like it! 2 coats, plus topcoat.

"Liv" in the Gray is a dark Prussian blue. No surprise that I love this, too. 2 coats, plus topcoat!

I actually really really loved this collection. The yellow and green shades speak to me! LOL

What shades are your favorite??

Twinsie Tuesday: Recreate a Celebrity Manicure

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's Twinsie Tuesday Prompt was Recreate a manicure inspired by a celebrity. To be really honest..... I think most celebrity manicures are either dreadfully boring or completely bizarre. So I kind of made up what I thought I would like to see a celebrity wear as a manicure. Whoops. Don't kick me out, lol!

I started with 3 coats of Nicole by OPI Feeling Very Cherry. Yes, three coats. It was still a bit patchy after 2 coats. Not cool, bro.

Then I added 3 coats of NOPI Southern Charm from the Carrie Underwood collection. This was sheer but understandable so, as it is a nude.

Then I topped it off with a coat of Lips Are Dripping Honey, also from the Carrie Underwood Collection.

I quite liked this look, actually. It was different for me, I think. What do you think? Do you think this looks 'celebrity' enough?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Twinsies celebrity inspired manicures!

Orly Smoky for Fall 2014

Hey guys!
                                                                                                                                 Nothing To Disclose

I have the Fall 2014 Orly Smoky Collection to share with you today! Whoo!

Smoked Out with Edgy accent nail. This was two coats of each and omg these colors are gorgeous. I absolutely love them together!

Highlight was a little bit thin, but it still covered nicely in two coats. It was a bit sheer on the first coat. This is a great putty color for fall glitters!

Brush It On is a gold/orange/copper/pink shifting topper. This was one coat over Blend. It's very sheer so definitely needs to be layered.

Blend is a dusky purple gray color. Two coats. Very soft and pretty for fall!

Darkest Shadow is a blackened red with brown and orange glitters and shimmers. I really love this blurry picture, lol! I used two coats.

I don't know about you, but (I'm feeling 22! Just kidding.) I'm loving Orly's collections this year! I am super impressed with the continuity and I really enjoy the themes! Go Orly!

OPI From A To Zurich and Glitter Nails!

Hey guys!

This is OPI From A To Zurich, a gorgeous wine colored creme. I used 3 thin coats here.

I added White Owl Lacquer A Little Danger to the middle and ring fingers. Full of gold, pink, and red glitters... and CIRCLE GLITTER!

Thennnnn I added Nicole by OPI Pick of the Glitter to the index and pinky finger. I found this guy at Target, and I've not really seen any swatches of it anywhere... but I also haven't looked for any. It's full of gold and turquoise hex glitter.

What do you think of these glitter babies??

Color Club Winter Affair Duo

Hey guys! Today is my husband's birthday! Happy Birthday!! I should probably at least get him a card, eh? Whoops!

I picked up this duo at Sally's forever ago! I'm not gonna lie... I don't know the names. There were no names on the packages and since there were two holiday collections released by the same name from Color Club (one for Sally's and one for everyone else) I kind of gave up on figuring out which shade this was. I do know that it's a gorgeous wine colored shimmer!

This is 2 easy coats. Look at that shimmer!

I decided to do some French tips with the flakie. I am not a French manicure kind of girl. They are too classy for me, haha! So this is probably the most simple French mani you'll ever see on this blog :-p

Barry M Burgundy Croc Effects

Hey guys! Happy Friday! What are your plans for the weekend? Mine are to watch as much hockey as I possibly can! And continue organizing and de-cluttering, of course :-)

Also, Saturday is my husband's birthday so I should probably attempt to find him a gift, eh?? o.O

Today's polish came via a secret santa I did in December. Umm because I was in like 4 different Secret Santa's, I can't entirely remember which package this came in so thank you to whoever sent it to me!! :-/

I had never used the Croc effects before and was very curious about it! I applied a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (my fave white, evah) and then one coat of Burgundy Croc. It. Took. Forever to get the croc effect! Like, probably about 15 minutes. I'm not sure if that was supposed to take that long or maybe I did it wrong but either way, this was the result. Not quite as Croc-y as I was hoping but still cool!

Have you tried Croc Effects? How did it work for you?
