Catrice Captain Sparrow's Boat with Prismatics Effect and Million Styles Topcoat

Hey guys!

Today I have Catrice Captiain Sparrow's Boat (which I cannot say without singing the majority of this song from the Lonely Island... It's rather profane but the chorus makes me laugh hysterically.)

I used 2 coats of this polish for the photos. With the exception of maybe one of the polishes I've tried from Catrice, they have all had great coverage and formulas. Love that!

Captain Sparrow's Boat is a gunmetal metallic polish. There were some brushstrokes visible but it is definitely magnified in the picture.

I used Catrice Prismatics Effect on my Index and Middle fingers and Catrice Million Styles Top coat in Godfather of Pearl on my ring and pinky fingers. I am interested to see how these toppers look over plain cremes or darker colors!

Whatcha think?

Revlon Sparkle Aplenty Plus A GIVEAWAY!

Hey guys!

A few weeks back, I saw a post somewhere (I can't remember, sorry!) that had a picture with a display of this polish. It had to be mine. So, a'lookin' I went! I finally tracked it down last week at my local Walgreens!

Revlon Sparkle Aplenty is from the single-shade Runway Report... collection? Is it a collection if it's only one polish? I don't know. Anyway, it's a black jelly with silver hex glitter and microglitter!

I used 2 coats here over Zoya Ray (Because that's what I had on at the time and I literally couldn't wait to swatch it over bare nails!) However, I think that this would still build up nicely in 2, maybe 3 coats on its own.

And guess what! I bought one to give away! This will be a super flash giveaway that ends on Saturday so hurry up and share this giveaway and enter! :)

Catrice Am I Blue Or Green?

Hey guys! Yay it's Wednesday!! HALLELUJAH! I can't wait for this week to be over!

More Catrice today. Am I Blue Or Green? is clearly blue to me. But ya know. Whatevs :-)

2 coats. This was a little bit thicker than the other Catrice polishes I've used.

I thought this Essesnce Re-Mix Your Style Love top coat would look better over this than it does. It didn't 'pop' like I was hoping. Mah well. I'm sure the Essence will look great over darker colors.

Do you have any Catrice or Essence? What are your favorites?

Two coats of Catrice Shake It! Flake It! over Browno Mars. Not the best combination :-/ Oh well.

Rainbow Honey Sakura Matsuri Collection

Hey guys!

I've been bitten by the Indie Polish bug. My wallet weeps. But my nails look so pretty!!! :-)

Today, I'm bringing you the newest collection from Rainbow Honey: Sakura Matsuri. I'm going to use RH's descriptions of the polish colors. Oh and I bought the mini collection. Just so you don't think the bottles are tiny. Well they are tiny, but they are mini's!

First, Wistful: A blushing green shimmer, full micro glitters that sparkle in the sun - fun and festive!

This was a little bit thick and gloppy.  I used two coats.

Sakura Matsuri namesake is full of pink and white blossoms, adorned by holographic and iridescent glitters. It is a fun and festive layering polish that perfectly captures the spirit of the collection. I layered one coat of Wistful. I loved the flower shaped pieces!

Ephemeral - A lovely soft pink shimmer, with strong blue and purple hues in artificial lighting. In the sun, its micro glitters in gold, pink, and turquoise sparkle and glisten.

2 coats. This was again a little bit thick.

With Flash.

Hanami - A beautiful blend of rose, pink, white, and iridescent glitters in a sheer and shimmery pink base. Hanami refers to the traditional Japanese custom of watching the flowers bloom in the springtime, often traveling far and wide just to watch the sakura blossoms before they fall.

One coat over Ephemeral.

 With Flash.

Koi Pond - An impressive array of glitters in a clear base, perfect for layering over your favorite colors and brings to mind the beautiful Japanese gardens and soft, algae-tinted waters in which the friendly carp reside.

This is obviously my favorite. Ya know I can't resist glitter (seriously, it might be an actual problem... is there Glitter Anonymous?)

2 coats over Wistful.

Julep Maven August It Girl

Hey guys! Happy Sunday!

This month, I elected to receive the It Girl box from Julep maven, plus an add on! I've never added on a polish before but the name sucked me in and I had to do it! Let's get to the polishes, eh?

First up, Harley. Harley is a silver chrome polish. This was 1 coat! and not a lot of brushstrokes. The picture with flash looks bad but it didn't look like that at all!

Next, Sienna, a gold foil. I'm not a huge fan of foil finishes but this wasn't crazy foily. 2 coats.

With Flash.

Third, Melanie, a metallic blue. This was my favorite. Ya'll should know by now that I love blues :-) 2 easy coats, again.

With flash.

And finally, my add on: Piper! I mainly picked this polish because my niece's name is Piper and I thought it would be adorable to have a polish with her name :-)

Piper is a mint-teal metallic color. I used 3 thin coats, no top coat.
 With flash.
