Julep Nadia and Tracy

Hey guys!

I have two of the polishes from the July Maven box to share with you today! Where is the 3rd, you ask? That's a great question!! I'm not really sure where those pictures went :-/ Whoops.

Anyway, these were my favorite from the box so let's get to it!

First, Nadia. Julep calls this "a sun-kissed golden frost." I consider this more of a shimmer than a frost. I used 3 thin coats here.

Personally, I love yellows and am always excited to find a yellow polish that is so pretty. This is a soft yellow and that shimmer is pretty awesome!

Tracy is "a sparkling ocean sea salt" polish, which is what Julep calls their texture polishes. I'm really enjoying these texture polishes with the shimmer/glitter in the formula. I think it definitely adds to the polish!

I used 2 coats here. This dried relatively quickly. I will say that it had a little bit of a stronger smell than the other Juleps, a little more..... chemically? The texture polishes are still 4 Free, but maybe something in the texture adds to the smell. It wasn't offensive, just something worth mentioning.

What do you think of these colors? Are you on board with the texture polish trend? What are some of your favorite textures?

Julep Ally with Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler

Hey guys!

Anyone have any fun weekend plans? We should probably do some yard work and I definitely have a backlog of photos I need to edit and upload but it's supposed to be gorgeous so we will see what actually gets done, lol!

Julep Ally, from the April Maven box (don't ask me which one I picked, I have no idea. I wanna say It Girl...??) is a BRIGHT blue creme-ish shimmer?? Kind of in between a foil and shimmer... a shimmoil?? I don't know. This was 3 coats. It applied very nicely, but there was a stronger smell than I'm used to from Julep. I don't know if it's just this color or I'm crazy or what... just something I thought I would mention.

Anyway, I'm pretty much in love with this vibrant blue!

Rainbow Honey 20% Cooler added some lovely rainbow glitter over Ally. 2 coats of 20% Cooler.

March Untrieds: Julep February Box (It GIrl)

Hey guys!

Better late than never with this Julep box, eh? For March, Sarah, Amanda and I are doing rainbow untrieds! So that means: holos, skittles, anything rainbow-y!

So I figured this was the perfect time to get my butt in gear and show you what was in my February Julep It Girl box!

First, Rebel, a silver holo. I don't know why I always pick up silver holos... I have like 100 of them... Anyway, this was 2 coats of Rebel. I didn't have any issues applying, and there was no dragging. Yay! Also, it was February in Michigan when I swatched these soo... yeah, no sun. Sorry.

Next is Joan, which isn't a holo but a berry colored polish with golden/orange flakies. This was again 2 coats.

Here is Joan with Julep's Freedom Polymer Topcoat.

Finally,  Marion. Technically not a holo, but a very pretty dark teal with the slightest shimmer. 2 coats.

CQ Honey and Julep Colbie

Hey Guys! What are your weekend plans? I'm not sure what's on the agenda for us this weekend. Hmm... I'll have to think of something fun :-)

So, I love a good yellow. I just love yellow. It's so happy and cheery and why does all yellow polish usually suck with it's formula? Okay, not all, but a lot.

Not the case with this CQ. This "Honey" of a color (bahahaha) had a lovely formula and covered beautifully in two coats. YESSSS!

I added one coat of Julep Colbie, a green glitter, even though you can't really tell in these pictures. Trust me, it's green.

W7 and Julep Harper

Hey Guys!

This W7 came to me from Saira, thanks Saira! It doesn't have a name (that I can tell), but it's a lovely dark teal color. MMM.... So pretty. This was 3 thin coats, no top coat.

Since glitter is king, I added one coat of Julep Harper over W7. It kind of looks like I used a matte topcoat in these photos, but I did not.

OPI Just Groovy and Julep Vivien

Hey Guys! How is your Saturday?? Mine is wide open and free of plans, just the way I like it :-)

Just so you know, I have a bunch of creme and glitter swatches stored away so you'll be seeing lots of that in the coming weeks on off challenge/Pinterest days!

OPI Just Groovy was given to my by my friend who was cleaning out her stash and since I can never say no to polish,  I said yes!

Just Groovy is a lovely sky blue creme. I honestly don't think I have anything quite like this in my collection... HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! Also, can I just say something weird? I LOVE the length and shape of my nails in these photos. Gah, grow nails, grow!

Anyway, it covered beautiful in 2 coats. And it was soooo shiny!

Then, I added one coat of Julep Vivien, super awesome gold glitter.

 BAM!

Julep November Box

Hey guys!

So this is a little late. To be fair, I thought today was November 30th and I was still getting this in on time. Whoops.  Oh well. And on top of that... I don't remember which box I selected.... :-/

This month's boxes were all about suede polishes. I personally am not a huge fan of suedes, but I knew these colors would be lovely with a shiny topcoat, and I was right :-)

First up, Amber, a sort of amber colored brown suede. The formula on both of these polishes was nice, they dried fairly quickly there was no dragging or balding. I used two coats for each color.

 Sunlight:
 With topcoat:

Next is Nora, a deep purple suede. This almost looks gray, but it is actually deep purple!

 Sunlight:

 With topcoat:

This box also came with Julep's Pink Frosting, a body cream. I've not used a lot of it, but what I did use was nice and fluffy and worked into the skin nicely. I hate hate hate greasy lotion!

Julep Maven It Girl: October

Hey guys! Happy Monday. I'm already ready for the weekend, lol.

This month, I chose the It Girl box.

First, Caroline. A deep red shimmer. This was 2 coats.

 MACRO!

Included in this month's box were two little pots of glitter, black and orange. I used the orange on my accent nail over Caroline. Literally, all I did was roll my finger nail in the glitter while the second coat of Caroline was still wet, and voila!

 GLITTER MACRO!

Next, Leslie, a light black (is that a thing?) shimmery polish. This was 2 easy coats.

And then the silver shatter. I was hoping this would look more like the croc style shatter, because the label image was more like that but, nope. It's standard shatter. Oh well. I'll add it to the drawer of shatters, lol.
