Revlon Posh

Hey guys!

My husband picked up this polish for me a while back; he could tell I was having a bad day via text :-)

Revlon Posh is a gorgeous emerald green creme. I love this color so much!

Two coats, no top coat.

What makes a lovely grass green even better? GLITTER TIPS! Jordana's glitters are awesome, and this is no exception. Cosmic sponged onto the tips.

I can't believe that it's already June... what the heck???

OPI My Private Jet

Hey guys!

I ordered this from Amazon with my Swagbucks and it was relatively inexpensive to begin with so I shouldn't be too disappointed that it is the non holo version, even though the listing described it as such, right? Right? Well, okay, I'm kinda upset.

Two coats, no top coat.

It is a lovely color....but I was expecting holo-y goodness. Oh well. I'll keep looking.Sigh.

Julep Maven May Box

Hey guys!

Sigh. Just expect these posts to come at the end of the month, lol.

Today I'm showing you the polishes that came in my May Julep Maven box.

First up, Sheryl. This is a gold color, with a slightly frosty finish. I used 3 coats here. No Top coat.

Now we have Kylie. This polish is purple/burgundy magnetic polish and I was kind of not very excited about it because, well... magnetic polish hates me. I've tried a bunch of different brands, followed all of the directions and tips and nothing seems to work for me. So I wasn't expecting much better results with this.

I was wrong! The magnetic lines actually stayed put and didn't fade! I was shocked.

SNAAARKM Challenge Day 7: Water Marble

Hey guys! Fun fact: This is my 300th Post! Whoohoo!!

And I'm posting this early because I've got super fun plans for this evening soo... yeah! You get to see my post earlier than the rest, muahahaha!

Today is the last day of the SNAAARKM Challenge. I've had fun with these posts; have you enjoyed reading them?

For the last challenge, we are water marbling. I've only water marbled once and it was easier the first time than it was this time! What?? I don't know what's up with that.

Onto the pictures!

Yeah... not very pretty. I liked a few of the nails but not most of them. I did get compliments on this mani, though, and that made me feel good :-)

I used:
Wet n Wild Black Creme
NOPI Back To Reality...TV
China Glaze Lemon Fizz
China Glaze Make Some Noise
China Glaze Flying Dragon

In my experience, China Glaze works the best for marbling. I don't know why that is, but I got much better results this time than I did with my first attempt at this challenge using a different brand.  Did that even make sense??? Whatevs.

What do you think? Have you water marbled? Do you like it? Do you have secrets you can share? LOL

Check out my challenge partner's water marbles!

Fashion Friday!

Hey guys!

Today's Fashion Friday is a little bit different. It's not entirely about fashion that I wore... it's actually about mah hair!

If you know me at all, you probably know that I am obsessed with gingers. Like, literally obsessed. I love red hair, I just think it's so beautiful and soft and shiny and smooth and beautiful and in my mind, it smells like strawberries. Yeah, I'm weird.

Anyway, I've been telling the girl who does my hair for years "I want red hair" but my skin tone is just not entirely right for it. Yesterday, I decided that I was going to 'make' her give me red hair! LOL

Initially, I wanted an ombre color but decided against it and went with this:

The last picture doesn't really show the color that well. And I'm not showing you a before picture because it's awful, lol! My natural hair color is just plain brown :-/

Anyway, I love it. And HOW do hairdressers make your hair feel so clean? Ugh, if I could have that feeling everyday, I would totally have that as my superpower!

The red does make me feel a little sassier... not that I have problems feeling sassy, haha!

What do you think of my sassy new color?

SNAAARKM Challenge: Day 6: My Forever Mani

Hey guys!

Today's challenge is My Forever Mani. At first, I was going to use a polish that I always wore when I was younger: Maybelline Express Vintage Burgundy. It's the perfect vampy color; probably one of my top 20 colors of all time (partly for the nostalgia and partly for the color).

Then I decided that, who am I kidding? Glitter is my forever mani. I will never stop loving glitter. So I used my beloved OPI Absolutely Alice that my good friend Jamie sent to me. This was the first time I had worn AA because it is so pretty, I didn't want to run out! And I like seeing it sitting in my "Untrieds" Bin, lol.

I. Love. This!! It looks fabulous on nubs, if I do say so myself. I didn't put a top coat on yet, I was hurrying to get this post ready.

Two lovely coats. It is a little thick, but I kind of like that; it covered nicely!

Thank you so much, Jamie! I Luff it! <3

Be sure to check out the other ladies posts! We only have one more post and it's the WATERMARBLE! Ack!!! LOL!

Finger Paints Winter Sky

Hey guys!

I never grabbed any of the Christmas Finger Paints color but when I saw this for 1.98 at Sally's, I figured that I definitely need more blue in my life :-) So again with the "we're halfway to next Christmas so you should see this post" ;-p

Winter Sky is a gorgeous turquoise blue with silver glessflecks. It's much prettier than I was expecting, honestly! This is two coats, no top coat.

In the interest of using some of my fabulous glitters, I layered one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holoy Teal over the Winter Sky. Fabulous!

What do you guys think?

SNAAARKM Challenge Day 5: My Favorite Effect

Hey guys! Time for the latest SNAAARKM Challenge!

Today's Challenge is "My Favorite Effect" and I just realized after applying this polish, photographing, and drafting this that I thought it said "my Favorite Technique" so I'm really dumb. ANYWAY, it's too late and oh well :-)

Since my favorite technique is glitter and that's not really a technique (or an effect, whoops), I chose to do a 'cocktail mani.' The cocktail mani is when you paint the first 3 fingers of your cocktail hand (in my case, my right hand) a sparkly color, and the rest of your fingers are a different color.

Let me show you!

I used 2 coats of Finger Paints 15 Minutes Of Frame on my left hand and on my ring and pinky fingers of my right hand, and FP's Movie In The Park on the first 3 fingers of my right hand.

I know technically this isn't a technique and it's not really an effect either, but I think it's a really cool trend right now and it's obviously super easy. And I did this about 5 minutes before I had to post this, haha!

Oh and this is not even remotely color accurate :-/ 15 Minutes Of Frame is a neon minty/kelly green. It's a really cool color, I don't have anything like it in my stash. There is no top coat on these pictures, either.

Left Hand...

Right Hand!

Enjoy the sideways picture! Ack, today I am just... aack! LOL!!

Be sure to check out the other ladies' posts; I am really enjoying seeing what everyone comes up with!
