SpaRitual Optical Illusion, Mattified!

Hey guys!

I have a fun treat today! Jenna from I'm Still Thinking... offered a $20 gift card to me that Apothica was offering her for one of her readers (got all that? LOL) ANYWAY, I said "yes, please, thank you!" because I have been dying to try some stuff from Apothica but have been trying to be good and not buy lots of stuff.

The Apothica website is super easy to navigate and checkout was a breeze. My items shipped quickly and they also included samples for 3 items (I don't really use samples ever so I tossed them in my sample box for swaps/trades). Also, the gentleman who contacted me regarding my gift card was very pleasant and quick to reply to my emails. I love good customer service :-)

Anywho, I knew immediately what I wanted to order! I ordered SpaRitual Optical Illusion and Essie Matte About You, because not one single store I have ever been to carries this freaking matte top coat! Grrr.

Optical Illusion is a swampy, mossy green polish. I would call it a jelly. This was 3 coats, with a matte top coat in the last 3 pictures. This was an incredibly easy application with literally no cleanup... it pretty much applied itself! I will definitely be purchasing more SpaRitual's soon. Loved it!

What do you guys think? I like it. It's a little swampy and dirty looking, but kinda cool, right?

I only paid for shipping on this purchase, since I picked two things that were $10 each.... two polishes for $5.95 is a good deal to me :-)

Grayish Zoya: Dove and Megan

Hey guys! Happy Friday!

We are to the end of Zoya Week! With all of their fabulous promo's they run, I have added quite a few Zoya's to my amazeballs collection :-)

First, Dove. A lovely neutral gray from their Intimate Collection. Two perfect coats, no top coat.

Next is Megan. Megan is from the Feel Collection and is described by Zoya as "a taupe gray cream." I don't see taupe here, but maybe I'm off... Regardless, it's a really pretty full coverage cream.

This is a pretty tame color selection for me but sometimes I guess we just need some grayed out polishes on our nails, right? :-)

Does anyone have any fun plans for the weekend?

Also, if you have any suggestions for other theme weeks or things you would like to see on the blog, I am more than happy to hear your ideas!

Zoya: Kotori and Edyta

Hey guys!

I schedule this post and it didn't show up. Which is why I never schedule posts! :-/ Anyway...

Zoya Spam! Again, two coats, no top coat.

Today, Kotori. This is a "dense bright blue shimmer superimposed over a sheer black base."

Now we have Edyta: Zoya says " A complex mixture of gold, olive, blue-green and smoky grey with a sparkling metallic finish." Really really lovely and different.

What do you think?

Julep Maven: March Box

Hey guys!

Normally I wouldn't post two different posts in one day but this poor Julep post keeps getting pushed down farther into the draft folder!

I figured I should post the current month before I post it next month like I did for the last one :-/ I'm super close to the end of the month, lol.

Anyway, I am an American Beauty, according to the Julep Style Quiz. I always change the box, though! Usually I select the It Girl, because it's all polish but I really want the Elixir so I changed to Bombshell.

Cute packaging! They always package the boxes so nicely :-)

The contents: Natasha, Sofia, Elixir and a nail file.

I used Natasha first. She is a lovely coral orange creme polish. This was 2 easy coats.

I was running low on time and decided I didn't want to layer several layers of Sofia to get opacity on that color so I layered a coat over Natasha. Sofia, as you can see, is a springy shimmery green. It is very sheer, so I think its perfect for layering.

This was two coats of Sofia on my thumb.  BONUS! SOFIA GLOWS IN THE DARK! I didn't know this until after I had already removed this polish but how cool is that? I was excited, lol.

I haven't tried the Elixir yet, but I'm planning on it soon!

What do you think? Have you tried Julep yet? Click the link on the top of my blog to sign up! For only $19.99 a month, you get two polishes and there is always something extra in the box, like lotions, creams, elixirs, etc. etc.

Zoya Richelle

Hey guys!

Zoya... oh Zoya. I love you. I love their promo's. This was free from one of their Facebook promo's in February.

Richelle is described as a "golden bronze shimmer with a bold metallic finish." Sounds delightful!

Two coats, no top coat.

What is your favorite Zoya?

Zoya Love: Demi, Kalista, & Trixie

Hey guys!

Zoya Spam! So I'm not repeating myself, all swatches are two coats, with no top coat.

Demi: a red toned purple creme. I won this through one of their Twitter flash promo's like forever ago. Yay! But I'm a slacker :-p

Kalista: Zoya says this is a "dark espresso brown with plum-purple undertones and strong gold shimmer."Kinda vampy and awesome, if you ask me. And not very brown but whatevs.

Trixie: A standard silver foil. Not much more to it, but really pretty. And kind of futuristic and robotic. Awesome.

Are you guys feeling the Zoya love?

Zoya can be purchased from their website, they are $8 each and I do not believe they ship internationally :-(

Zoya: Reva and Apple

Hey guys!

Two more metallic polishes from Zoya and the Sunshine collection.

First, Reva. Reva is a gorgeous berry red with gold shimmer. Perfectly lovely. Two coats, no top coat.

Now for Apple. This is an apple green metallic with gold shimmer.  Again, two coats, no top coat.

These are getting me excited for Spring and Summer even more! I didn't know that was possible!
