January Untrieds: Andrea Fullerton Petrol In The Water

Hey guys! How are you today?!

Oh, I drew the name for my giveaway winner; I'm waiting on her reply within 24 hours and then I'll announce it :-)

Don't forget to go see what Amanda is posting today!

Another polish brought to you by Saira! Andrea Fullerton Petrol In The Water is a dual ended pen, with a base color on one end and a top coat on the other.

The base color is called Petrol, and it looks like oil slicked on your fingers. It had just about the mot perfect application ever, especially considering it's from a smaller bottle and brush. This was two glorious coats.

The other end is the 'water' end and this is a sheer topcoat, but look at the color it creates when applied over Petrol. I used one coat of the topcoat.

So so pretty!

Catrice King Of Greens

Hey guys! This post is also going to be on Amanda's blog today!

I'm so happy to be doing a guest post for Amanda. I heart her and she's awesome and so much TWITTER LOVE!!! :-)

I feel like most colors look good on shorty nails and while I don't have the shortest nails ever, I certainly don't like my nails to be much longer than this.

This is probably one of my favorite Catrice polishes. King Of Greens is a positively gorgeous green with flashes of bright green shimmer. This was a dream to apply and covered like a champ.I used 2 easy coats. I don't even think I had to do any cleanup. Huzzah!

So gorgeous! If you can get some Catrice polishes, I highly recommend them!

Thanks for letting me guest post, Amanda!

January Untrieds: Revlon Cayenne and Wet n Wild Flossy Flossy

Hey guys!

I have a few untrieds to share with you today! So does Amanda!

Revlon Cayenne is a polish I received in a... swap? Secret Santa? I can't remember, honestly.

It's a tomato red creme. This covered very nicely in two coats and the formula was very good. I think this is the first Color Stay Revlon that I've used; I was impressed.

Then, I added two coats of Wet n Wild Flossy Flossy from the Fergie collection. This was very very thin; I did not care for it like I was hoping :-( I really am not a big fan of super thin polish. Which is a shame, because this could be very pretty, but honestly I was not in the mood to deal with it so I think I gave it away, lol.

Influenster: Palmolive Fresh Infusions

Hey guys!

Since I forgot to get a guest post from someone this week, you get to read my review of my most recent Influenster box, the Palmolive Fresh Infusions box!

First off, I was totally shocked that these were full sized bottles! I was expecting travel/sample sizes so when I opened the box and saw 3 full sized bottles of dish soap... I'm not gonna lie, I whooped!

The scents I received were:
Lemon Thyme
Ginger White Tea
Lime Basil

I do have a dishwasher but a large majority of my dishes I wash by hand, because I have a lot of older dishes that I just don't trust in the dishwasher (I love love love old dishes, colored glass... but that's a different topic).

So I've been alternating using a different scent each time I wash dishes, as you can see by the even fill lines, lol.

They all smell very good, you can decipher the scent but it's not overpowering and they all suds up nicely. I probably use too much but I like a LOT of suds :-p

I would definitely buy these again. They wash up nicely, and don't leave my dishes feeling soapy or grimy. I also like the bottle shape, which sounds weird but it's more appealing than some of the other shaped bottles I've purchased. Also, the caps are easy to open but click securely shut! I don't want tto knock the bottle over and spill delicious soap everywhere.

The Ginger White Tea is my favorite because I love floral scents. Now I have to remember to use my coupons for these!

Thumbs up, Palmolive!

NOPI Am I Making Myself Claire??

Hey guys! What are you up to this Saturday? I was going to run some errands but it looks cold and it snowed last night so I will probably sit my butt inside all day. Come onnnnn, spring, get here faster!

I love Modern Family so when I found out NOPI was doing a polish collection based on the show, I was pretty excited. However, I managed to control my impulses and only buy 3 of the cremes! Not even any glitters! Whhhattt??? I know, right?

Anyway, Am I Making Myself Claire? is a light purple creme. It is a little more purple that it photographs, but still very light and a little bit delicate. This was 2 easy coats.

Did you pick up any polishes from this collection? Which ones were your favorites?

Love & Beauty Silver/Multi

Hey guys!

If there is one thing I dislike, it's a polish that is not named appropriately. Enter Love & Beauty. Do you know how many polishes I have from them that are named Silver? Or Multi? Come on guys, let's be a little more creative with these beauties! LOL

Today's polish is from Wes, from my Secret Santa package. Love & Beauty Silver/Multi is really more gold with silver glitter. This is sort of a bronzey color. I used 3 coats here, and it was still a little sheer.

January Untrieds: Pure Ice Really Rio

Hey guys! What is Amanda up to, I wonder?

Today's Untried polish is from a brand that I don't have too many of (mainly because I don't shop at Wal-Mart) so it's not something you will see featured a ton on here.

Anyway, I received this in a swap/secret santa package a while back. Pure Ice Really Rio is a tomato red almost jelly, loaded with shimmer.

I used 3 coats for the photos below and you can still see a little bit of VNL but it wasn't bad in person. The formula on this was pretty good; I didn't have any issues that I wrote down in my notes, haha.

What do you think? Do you like this color? Have you tried Pure Ice before?

Pretty Serious BSOD

Hey guys! Happy Wednesday. Wednesday? I think? I'm not sure :-p

This is my first Pretty Serious polish and holy moly is it beautiful! If you haven't noticed by now, I love blue. Blue glitter, blue polish, blue holos, blue blue blue blue. I love blue!

I resisted ordering this for a long time because I'm trying to be good and shipping was a little more than I cared to spend, since it was coming from Australia. Finally, I caved during some promo Kaz was running. Ummm yeah. Amazing.

This is 3 coats of BSOD. I could kick myself but I think this is with topcoat. I know I wore this and I always top coat the mani's I wear.

This was totally worth the little bit extra shipping. I lurve this!

January Untrieds: Aphrodite Lacqueres Fete Champetre and An Announcement!

Hey guys! Brrrr, what is the temperature for you? It's 1 degree outside right now. Yes, that was only one digit! Ack!! The windchill feels like negative -18!!!

So if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, you might have seen my little post last night: My husband and I are expecting our first baby this summer! We are both really excited, Buster is not so much, haha! And rest assured, I've already moved my nail polish 'room' into an area where I will still use my pretties :-)

So anyway, welcome to January Untrieds Tuesday! Go check out Amanda's glitter filled post today!

This was my super lazy NYE manicure.... I only painted one hand, haha! And yeah so what if it's the middle to end of January and I'm just now showing this to you :-p

Anyway, Fete Champetre is a blue, green, yellow, pink, purple glitter in a milky base. This is 4 coats...eek! However, I did really like this polish. I will just layer it next time :-p

Have a good Tuesday! I hope you're staying warm!

HARE Polish Golden Years

Hey guys! Happy Monday. Ew. Haha. Did everyone have a nice weekend? Mine was pretty tame but that's usually the norm around here :-)

I finally caved and purchased a few HARE polishes a while back. I'm not gonna lie... I hate the handwritten labels. I know a lot of people love it but it just... I don't know. Something about it bothers me, lol. The bunny = I love!

Anyway, Golden Years is a gold, blue, green multi shaped glitter in a blueish base. This was 3 coats with topcoat.

What is your favorite HARE polish?

Guest Post: Amanda from The Nail Polish Enthusiast

Hey guys!

Today one of my BFFs is posting for me. Amanda and I are basically the same person... really, it's weird. So if you like my posts at all, I know you will love her post :-)

As always, if you would like to do a guest post, please email me at snugglepup09(at)yahoo(dot)com! As of right now, I don't have one for next Sunday!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone - Amanda subbing for Amanda today, just to confuse you! As you may (or may not, if you live under a rock) know, Amanda and I are total BFFs. We share all the major loves in common: food, sleep, and glitter. Thus, an epic glitter bomb was necessary for my blog takeover. Enter Lynnderella New Year's Eve Eve, and you have magic!

This was one solid coat with some moving around, then I dabbed a few pieces of glitter on after to fill in some empty spots. It was a pretty painless process for such a pretty glitter. You may all know of my weakness for rainbow glitters and this was no exception, I'm in love!

Thanks for letting me take over the blog for the day, Amanda!
xoxo,
Amanda (the other one)

Thank you Amanda for the awesome glitter bomb!!

Color Club Winter Affair Duo

Hey guys! Today is my husband's birthday! Happy Birthday!! I should probably at least get him a card, eh? Whoops!

I picked up this duo at Sally's forever ago! I'm not gonna lie... I don't know the names. There were no names on the packages and since there were two holiday collections released by the same name from Color Club (one for Sally's and one for everyone else) I kind of gave up on figuring out which shade this was. I do know that it's a gorgeous wine colored shimmer!

This is 2 easy coats. Look at that shimmer!

I decided to do some French tips with the flakie. I am not a French manicure kind of girl. They are too classy for me, haha! So this is probably the most simple French mani you'll ever see on this blog :-p

Barry M Burgundy Croc Effects

Hey guys! Happy Friday! What are your plans for the weekend? Mine are to watch as much hockey as I possibly can! And continue organizing and de-cluttering, of course :-)

Also, Saturday is my husband's birthday so I should probably attempt to find him a gift, eh?? o.O

Today's polish came via a secret santa I did in December. Umm because I was in like 4 different Secret Santa's, I can't entirely remember which package this came in so thank you to whoever sent it to me!! :-/

I had never used the Croc effects before and was very curious about it! I applied a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (my fave white, evah) and then one coat of Burgundy Croc. It. Took. Forever to get the croc effect! Like, probably about 15 minutes. I'm not sure if that was supposed to take that long or maybe I did it wrong but either way, this was the result. Not quite as Croc-y as I was hoping but still cool!

Have you tried Croc Effects? How did it work for you?

Zoya Shawn with Finger Paints Santa's Magic

Hey guys! Today I am sharing a post that I did for Jenna over at PolishPals a few weeks ago!

Today I have Zoya Shawn and Finger Paints Santa's Magic! I'm going to show you the finished product first, then I'll show you Shawn on it's own.

I started with two easy coats of Shawn, then 2 easy coats of Santa's Magic. Ummm, holy amazing! So so so holographic and awesome and wonderful and I love this nail polish!!

Here's Shawn. This is a polish I've been wanting for a long time and whenever Zoya had promos, I would always get something else instead. I finally bought it, though, and I love it. Such a great green!

Do you have either of these polishes? What do you think?

January Untrieds: Color Club Angel Kiss

Hey guys! Happy Tuesday and Untrieds Day! Amanda and I are both posting holos today, without knowing it. We share the same brain!

I have one more Halo Hues polish that I just couldn't resist: Angel Kiss. A light blue super holographic? Umm yeah, I needed this!

This was 2 coats, no top coat. What I love about the Halo Hues is how easy they are to apply. Some holo's apply very patchy on the first coat. That is not the case with these babies. Pure buttah, I tell ya!

Let's stare at the awesome...

*Drool* Okay, back to regular programming now.
