Twinsie Tuesday: Recreate a Celebrity Manicure

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today's Twinsie Tuesday Prompt was Recreate a manicure inspired by a celebrity. To be really honest..... I think most celebrity manicures are either dreadfully boring or completely bizarre. So I kind of made up what I thought I would like to see a celebrity wear as a manicure. Whoops. Don't kick me out, lol!

I started with 3 coats of Nicole by OPI Feeling Very Cherry. Yes, three coats. It was still a bit patchy after 2 coats. Not cool, bro.

Then I added 3 coats of NOPI Southern Charm from the Carrie Underwood collection. This was sheer but understandable so, as it is a nude.

Then I topped it off with a coat of Lips Are Dripping Honey, also from the Carrie Underwood Collection.

I quite liked this look, actually. It was different for me, I think. What do you think? Do you think this looks 'celebrity' enough?

Don't forget to check out the rest of the Twinsies celebrity inspired manicures!

NOPI Am I Making Myself Claire??

Hey guys! What are you up to this Saturday? I was going to run some errands but it looks cold and it snowed last night so I will probably sit my butt inside all day. Come onnnnn, spring, get here faster!

I love Modern Family so when I found out NOPI was doing a polish collection based on the show, I was pretty excited. However, I managed to control my impulses and only buy 3 of the cremes! Not even any glitters! Whhhattt??? I know, right?

Anyway, Am I Making Myself Claire? is a light purple creme. It is a little more purple that it photographs, but still very light and a little bit delicate. This was 2 easy coats.

Did you pick up any polishes from this collection? Which ones were your favorites?

Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver with Rainbow Honey The Worst Possible Thing

Hey guys! Sorry for the late post today. After my hyper mode yesterday, I was beat today! I had to take a nap. Yeah, I'm getting old, lol!

So... I am pretty sure that I will never be a blog post without glitter. It might be considered a sickness, at this point :-p

I started with a base of NOPI My Lifesaver, which I snagged in a two pack from TJ Maxx a while back. (The other color was Top of my World). My Lifesaver is a lovely mint green creme. I used two easy coats here, no top coat. Look at how shiny it is!

Because I'm obsessed with glitter, I added a layer of Rainbow Honey The Worst Possible Thing. I loovveed this!

It was glittery but not IN YO' FACE glittery. So so pretty!

Word of warning, My Lifesaver is a stainer :-/ Wah wah. Double up on basecoat!

Finger Paints Art You Blue? with NOPI Top Of My World

Hey guys! Happy Sunday... uggggghhh I am so full of food, it's not even funny! LOL But everything was delicious, particularly the tater tot casserole I made. It was a big hit! Yay me, haha! (I hate to cook.

Anyway, today's post is bluuueee. It's not secret that I love blue! :-)

I'm liking Finger Paints more and more. I think their names are fun and the bottles are cute... not my favorite bottles but not as hideous as some (NOPI, you know I'm looking at you!)

Art You Blue is a deep blue color with a subtle metallic finish. I think. Honestly, that confuses me. Metallic, foil, whatever. It's not a straight cream.

2 easy coats, no top coat.

With flash: this color never even remotely resembled the color shown with flash.

I added 2 coats of Nicole by OPI Top of My World. Photos are shown with top coat.

What do you guys think?

Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily

Hey guys!

Happy Saturday to you! Do you have fun plans? I think we are going to the summer fair that is going on this weekend in a nearby town. I do love carnival food...mmm.... corndogs, BBQ, and fried things!

Anyway, today I have a lovely purple from the CVS Exclusvie Kardashian Kollection. As much as I LOATHE the NOPI bottles, I do like a lot of the Kardashian colors... sigh.

One Big Happy Fame-ily is a lovely lavender polish with silver glassflecks. I think that if any polish has glassflecks, I'm going to love it.

This is two coats, no top coat.

What do you think? I'm noticing now that I maybe should have used 3 coats but for a sheerer look, two coats is fine with me.

Have a great weekend!

Nicole by OPI Kendal on the Katwalk

Hey guys!

This is from the Kardashian Kollection again. I guess I love the Kardashians, who knew?

Anyway, Kendal On The Katwalk is a fabulous glitter with green, blue and purple.

This is.... I'm gonna say 3 coats. And I used a lot of top coat for this glitter. Like 3 coats. But it was fabulous.

It ended up chipping off after about 2 1/2 days; HOWEVER, it chipped off in sheets so I didn't have to remove glitter for hours. I was kind of happy about that.

Talk to you soon!
