Twinsie Tuesday: Sparkle 2/28

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Affiliate Link

Sparkle is basically my favorite thing ever so this was an easy prompt.

Formula X is exiting Sephora's so I've managed to purchase a few at the $5 clearance price in the last several weeks. This was one, Artemis.

Artemis is a silver holographic polish. This was 3 coats. Super super sparkly and lovely.

I'm so bummed that Formula X is going away. I have liked all of the polishes that I've tried from this brand. What are some of your favorites from Formula X?

Twinsie Tuesday: Forgotten Favorite

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring and summer colors! I needed some bright colors on my nails and I pulled out my China Glaze Celtic Sun and then remembered "oh yeah, this polish is amazing.

I did layer two coats of Celtic Sun over a white base, and added topcoat. So so so bright and cheery, right??

What is a favorite polish that you often forget you love??

Twinsie Tuesday: Non-Dominant Hand Mani

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are discussing my worst nightmare, the non-dominant hand manicure. I could lie and say that I take care of my right hand, even though it's never photographed. But that would be a lie and I don't like to lie. My right hand looks like garbage. I am SUPPPPPPPPERRRRRR right handed, so doing anything with my left hand is basically a talent worthy of a medal. This task would not receive that medal.

Sigh.

I used OPI's Oh My Majesty which I will absolutely have to reswatch using the hand that is worth a darn. This was 3 coats.
Everything felt wrong about this... holding the bottle, posing the hand, cleaning up... everything. LOL!

What about you? Are you non-dominant hand challenged like I am??

Twinsie Tuesday: Share Your Polish Collection

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are sharing our polish collections, which is terrifying and embarrassing, lol. I do quite like how I have my polishes organized, except that I need to purge so I don't have to buy a 4th helmer ðŸ™Š

One thing I will mention is that I am not going to be going through the drawers.... that would be wayyyyy too many pictures! LOL! So an overview will have to suffice :-p

Here is the bulk of my polish. I have my polishes organized by brand and don't really have a system other than that, other than my Zoya, China Glaze, and OPI polishes are sorted by color with the drawer.

This is my bucket of "polishes that I have swatched and need to put back in or find room for in my helmers". Whoops. Moving on... and the bucket behind that is a small bucket of untrieds... Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah.

This is the rack that sits on my nail polish desk, mainly holding polishes that I need to review or polishes that I want to swatch for collabs or upcoming posts. I had to black and white this one, muahahahahhaah!!

And that's basically it...  I'm excited to see everyone else's polish collections! Be sure to check them out!

I used Zoya Avery, Sailor anddddddddddddd............... maybe Arizona? I am the worst, I know.

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by the Weather

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

We've been having some seriously gorgeous weather lately and I saw the most beautiful sunset last week and was inspired to do a gradient for this prompt. And it just so happened that I had three Pretty Serious polishes sitting in my acrylic rack that were perfect for this sunset!

I started with a white base and then sponged Pookie (blue), Honey Puff (yellow), and Peachie Poo (peach) onto my nails until I reached the desired opacity and then topped it off with topcoat. I thought about trying to draw some trees but you know how awful I am drawing trees so I decided to leave it as is, lol!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Your Phone Case

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are doing manicures inspired by our phone cases. I have a lovely pale rose gold case but since I just did a rose gold mani not too long ago, I didn't want to do one so similar. So I pulled out this beautiful polish from Fair Maiden Polish, Vintage Romance. I only have a few Fair Maiden Polishes but thus far, they've all had fantastic formulas and this was no different.

I used 2 coats here.

Be sure to check out the other Twinsies Phone case inspired manicures!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Pantone 2016

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I'm going to be very honest: I hate the pantone colors this year. Pastels are not my thing, especially pastel pinks, lol. But I sucked it up and grabbed two lovely colors from Zoya and did a very simple gradient/flakie combination!

Zoya Brittany is a pale pink putty color in a satin finish, and Kristen is the pale blue creme. I did a vertical gradient with these and topped them with Zoya's Maisie. The colors in the flakie don't really show up these lighter colors but it is still pretty!

Twinsie Tuesday: Bright

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are going bright and I have a doozy for you. China Glaze Bite Me from the Summer 2016 Lite Brights collection. This is a super super super bright coral pink with gold shimmer. As you can see from this photo, it looks rather glowy and uhmm.. not real? LOL It was definitely freaking my camera out!

The formula on this was actually really great. It was a bit thick but very easy to work with. If you weren't crazy picky, you could almost do one coat of this! I did 2, plus topcoat and no white base!

Twinsie Tuesday: Someone Else (Non Polish Fiend) Does My Nails

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

So today we were supposed to have a Non polish fiend do your nails. Well, I asked my husband and he said "yeah, no. Have Avery do it." Well I think my 3 year old painting my nails would probably be catastrophic sooooo.... I didn't do it! Whoops!

Instead, I am showing you a swatch of Ginger + Liz The Good Life, a beautiful pastel blue. This was opaque in two coats (plus topcoat) with a great formula! I think I picked this up at Ulta on clearance, which is where I usually look for the Ginger + Liz polishes, as they are around $12 each. I like to buy them on clearance but they are always very nice!!

Twinsie Tuesday: Chevrons

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose P

We are doing some chevrons today and I cheated a bit because I was off on my Twinsie Schedule and did these last week, thinking I needed to do this post for last week. So.... here is a reminder of the color I posted last Tuesday as a refresher: Wet n Wild Kiss My Mints, two coats, great formula. I LOVE this color!

Then I added the new Finger Paints Holographic Top Coat and some KBShimmer Chevron nail guides and did some chevrons and random dots.

Simple and cute, right? I love these colors together!

Twinsie Tuesday: Geometric

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose P

Today's prompt is Geometric and we know I ain't drawing out anything because I am not that talented, lol. So I pulled out some trusty nail vinyls and a few A England polishes: Spirit of the Moors, Gloriana, & Virgin Queen.

Two coats of Spirit of the Moors and once that was dry, I used a herring bone (??) nail vinyl on my ring finger. I applied Gloriana and Virgin Queen and removed the vinyl. A coat of topcoat and voila! I didn't intend for these to look so patriotic but it's quite fitting, seeing as how the Fourth of July is right around the corner.

Twinsie Tuesday: Negative Space

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are doing negative space manis and I always love the look of these manicures on others but it's one that I don't really love on me, for whatever reason.

So I did a simple accent nail for this manicure, using Painted Polish by Lexi Sweet & Serene, a GORGEOUS periwinkle holo with silver holographic glitter. This was two coats, plus topcoat. And I used a nail vinyl from..... eeek... I think Twinkled T? Anyway, that is what I used for the spiral heart accent nail.

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by Fabric

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are being inspired by fabric and I had a super cute pattern all picked out and then it was just a dramatic disaster when I went to create the manicure so I had to start from scratch, lol.

I was thinking about what I could do when I looked down at my pajama pants and thought "oh! I can do that in like 5 minutes time!" because of course it was Monday night at 10:30pm when I remembered that I hadn't completed my mani!

So my fabric manicure is inspired by my pajama pants, ha. I'm not sure where these pants are from but they are lightweight for the spring and super cute!

I started with a base of China Glaze Aquadelic, 2 coats. I let that dry for a few minutes and then dotted China Glaze Make Some Noise and used Call of the Wild for the cherry stems. Then I used Kalahari Kiss for the leaves and attempted to use Sally Hansen OMGhost for the cherry shine thing and also for the dots.

Yeah yeah, not very neat but I was in a hurry lol! If I had taken my time, I think this would have been super cute! Maybe I'll try again when I'm less hurried!
