Penny Bloom Summer Daze Collection!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Long time no talk, eh? I am still on a little break from blogging but am going to get back to it slowly but surely. What better way to ease back into posting than with a beautiful summer creme collection from Penny Bloom? Formerly Nayll, Penny Bloom Polish offers custom polishes that you create right on the website and also their own line of beautiful creations, which is what we will be looking at today!

The Summer Daze collection releases on June 21st, the first day of summer, and is a 10 piece creme collection inspired by the long hot days of summer (my favorite)! The polishes retail for $10 each or you can purchase the entire collection for $90!

All swatches are shown with topcoat.

Dog Days is a light tan creme. This was 3 coats. As you can see, there was some pigment that didn't get mixed up all the way in the bottle but it didn't affect the polish when applying it to the nail.

Self-Tanner is a mid tone brown. This was almost a jelly type of creme and needed 3 coats.

Morning Light is a beautiful bright yellow, again 3 coats.

Solar Ray is a bright orange creme. This was the tiniest bit thick but not unmanageable at all. 3 coats.

Summer Night is a lovely pink, 2 coats.

Bikini Days is a light blue creme. This was 2 easy coats.

Ocean Deep is a medium blue creme, covering nicely in two coats.

Blue Lagoon, a gorgeous dusty teal and opaque in 2 coats.

Greenscape is a nice kiwi green and covered in 2 coats.

Finally, Smoothie is a deep green and covered in 2 coats.

Sara was also kind enough to give you a discount code for 20% off your entire order! Just use code FSHNFTG20 and voila! There's your discount!

Remember, this collection will be available in one week, on June 21st! Which shades are you going to be getting?? Don't forget that you can also create your own custom polishes on the Penny Bloom site. I've done it before the rebrand and just a few weeks ago and I LOVE how the polishes came out! Swatches of those will be coming soon!

Bestie Twin Nails with the Little Canvas! Round 30!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

It's time for Round 30 of Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The Little Canvas! I'm not sure how we've done these for 30 months already! Holy moly!!

Anyway, this time we are doing a flower dotticure. I used all China Glaze polishes for this mani, starting with Kalahari Kiss for the index and ring fingers. Velvet Bow is the pinky finger. I used Blonde Bombshell for the middle finger. For the dots, Velvet Bow, Sun's Up Top Down and Life Preserver were used, along with Blonde Bombshell for the gold dots. One top of topcoat, clearly applied too soon after painting, hence the smearing.

Be sure to check out Alaina's manicure. I'm sure she used something awesome. Or something exactly the same. Probably with more words. Hehee.

Today I have two Sally Hansen Miracle Gel polishes to share with you.

Blacky-O is a black creme. This is pretty standard, and covered in two coats.

Tribal sun is orange and for some reason it is pulling very red orange in these pictures!! I have no idea why!! This was 2 coats, but it definitley could have benefited from a 3rd coat.

Have you tried the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel line yet?

Nine Zero Halloween Collection!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have the Nine Zero Lacquer Halloween collection to share with you! Yeah yeah yeah, I know that Halloween is in one day but I have confirmed with Jess that these will be around for a bit so you can still purchase!

Tricks No Treats is a while crelly with purple, green, and orange matte shards. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. I would recommend setting the bottle upside down for a minute to let some of the glitters sink to the top (which sounds very weird to write out, ha!)

Jack-O-Lantern Juice is an orange jelly with matte black shards. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. A second coat of topcoat might be needed to completely smooth out some of those shards.

Cauldron Fire is a black jelly with orange holographic glitters. This is quite stunning and about 50 times prettier in person! The sparkle is very evident! I say we get Jess to make this type of polish in every holo glitter, yes?? This was 2 coats plus two coats of topcoat.

The Witching Hour is an orange, purple, black, and green micro holo glitter. Again, another that is really much much more sparkly and intense in person! 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Spooky Lights is the Halloween version of Twinkle Lights and Patriot, with orange, purple, green, and black glitters. 3 coats plus topcoat.

Black Cat Optional in a silver holographic glitter with orange and black and white glitters mixed in. This is 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Also returning this year is Swamp Thing, the lovely green polish she released last year.

What do you think? Which of these is your favorite?

Round 29: Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample

It's time again for Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The Little Canvas! Today we are doing a simple orange and black dotticure AND I have two Sally Hansen polishes to review for you!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Black to Black is a standard black creme. It's very black and could be considered a one coater but I wanted a tiny bit more so I did two coats. Orange Zest is an orange creme and this had a thinner formula, needing 3 coats for complete opacity.

Then I dotted OMGhost from last year's Halloween release onto my ring finger, along with Black to Black. And for the flakies on the middle finger, I added Nine Zero Lacquer Flakie All The Things!

We wanted to add some "goobley eyes" to the pointer finger. My daughter calls googley eyes "goobley eyes" and it just cracks me up every time she says it, lol!

OPI Washington DC Collection for Fall 2016!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the OPI Fall 2016 Washington DC collection to share with you! I have all 15 polishes so let's just get to it! (Side note: I believe there are 3 additional Limited Edition shades available for purchase but I haven't seen those yet!)

First is Pale to the Chief, a true nude with the slightest slightest slight blue shimmer, which was basically not visible at all once applied to the nails. Whoops. This was the tiniest bit sheer after the second coat, but I will say that I also had some blue stained nails so if your nails are not stained smurf blue, you could most likely do 2 coats and have full opacity. For me, I used 3 plus topcoat.

Never A Dulles Moment is a gorgeous sunflower yellow creme. This was 3 coats plus topcoat. I didn't have any issues with formula and I pretty much just expect to do 3 coats for any yellow. I love this color, though!

Freedom of Peach is an orange creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Yank My Doodle is a rusty orangey color, and I quite like this one! This was two coats, plus topcoat.

Madam President is a pinky red (it looks more pink in person) with a FANTASTIC formula. This was 2 coats but alllllmost one.

OPI By Popular Vote is a maroon creme, opaque in two coats.

We The Female is a dark burgundy creme, opaque in 3 coats. This was almost a jelly/crelly consistency.

Kerry Blossom is a deep purple creme. 3 coats, plus topcoat.

Suzi - The First Lady of Nails is a gorgeous dark green creme. This was 2 coats plus topcoat.

Inside The Isabelletway is a tan creme, 2 coats plus topcoat.

Squeaker of The House is a medium cool toned brown. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Shh... It's Top Secret is a super super super dark brown. This actually looked brown in person but not so much in pictures lol. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Stay Off The Lawn! is a pine green creme. I loved this one, I'm sure you could guess. 2 coats, plus topcoat.

CIA = Color Is Awesome, a dark gray with a tinge of blue. I don't have many colors like this! I like it! 2 coats, plus topcoat.

"Liv" in the Gray is a dark Prussian blue. No surprise that I love this, too. 2 coats, plus topcoat!

I actually really really loved this collection. The yellow and green shades speak to me! LOL

What shades are your favorite??

OPI Ginger Bells

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have all OPI swatches to show you this week! The first is an oldie but a goodie and new to my collection. I was given this by my friend Jamie a few months ago and finally pulled it out of my untrieds bin.

This is Ginger Bells, a beautiful dark orange (ginger, if you will... heehee). This is an older polish but has a great formula. This was two coats plus topcoat.

Do you have this beauty? What do you think??

Love, Angeline

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have the limited edition Love, Angeline My Pony Brights collection, a 4 piece set of neons with iridescent flakies! These are super limited and will not be restocked but they are still on the site as of this draft (Which is Tuesday at 9:50pm, lol)

First is Apple Blossom, a neon green with iridescent flakies and shimmer. This was the most sheer of the bunch and was still a bit patchy after three coats but it was also  my last swatch of the night so that could have been user error.

Next is Mac -N- Tosh, a bright coral orange with the iridescent flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

Pinky Pal is a neon pink with the same iridescent flakies and shimmer. And again 3 coats plus topcoat.

Spike's Crush is fuchsia purple neon with flakies and shimmer. Again, 3 coats plus topcoat.

I love the pinks and the orange the best! Mac-N-Tosh is so vibrant and bright!

China Glaze Lite Brights Textures

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today I have my two picks from the China Glaze Summer 2016 Lite Brights collection! I only picked up 3 polishes from this collection because I'm trying to be really good with my polish purchases, lol. But today I'm going to show you the two textured polishes because these were my favorite!

Papa Don't Peach is a neon orange with gold shimmer. The neon in here really isn't being accurately depicted but it's super bright and the orange shimmer in this is texturetastic. This was a bit sheer on the first coat but built up beautifully on the second. 2 coats shown here.

We Got The Beet is a "grape with copper shimmer". This was also 2 lovely coats.

I am not done with textures, are you? I love them!

Did you pick up any polishes from the Lite Brights collection??

Essie Shimmer Brights Collection 2016!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I don't often review full Essie collections.... strike that, I've never reviewed a full Essie collection. BUT when I saw the Shimmer Brights collection, I knew I needed to own it AND it includes Essie's 1000th polish, A YELLOW!!! A YELLOW!!! I LOVE YELLOW!

Let's start with the yellow, Aim To Misbehave. This is a medium yellow shimmer. I used two coats but after I ran out the door, I did notice a small patchy spot so 3 would have been perfect. The formula was great though! Super stoked about that!

Sexy Plunge is an orange with orange shimmer. Another great formula, though a bit sheer. This was opaque in 3 coats.

Seen on the Scene is a bright pink shimmer. Another slightly sheer polish but again, a nice formula. 3 coats.

DJ ON Board is the purple shimmer. This had the least favorable formula and was a little thin but not unmanageable. I used 2 coats but as you can see, I wasn't paying attention and should have done 3.

All Hands On Deck is a gorgeous emerald green shimmer. This was opaque in 2 coats. I did have some slight slight staining with this after I swatched it but I don't wear a base coat when I swatch so I'm assuming a base coat or doubling up on base coat would help.

Catch of the Day is the by far the least shimmery. In fact, the shimmer is barely visible. Since I love blue so much, this was a bit disappointing. However, the formula was great! This was 2 coats.

I ordered mine from eBay but these should be popping up in stores soon, if they aren't already! Are you going to grab any of these polishes?

Talk to you soon!
