Hey guys!
Today's post is inspired by a YouTube video that Sarah from Chalkboard Nails tweeted a few weeks back. If you know me at all, you know I have a love/hate relationship with water marbling. I absolutely love the look of it but I don't often pull off a successful water marble.
So when I saw this video, I literally gasped. It was beautiful. I had to try it.
I decided to try it using many of the same colors as Colette did because obviously that will make me better at water marbling :-p The only thing that I should have done was use a black base; I used a white base.
I used Color Club Beyond, Kismet, and Eternal Beauty. My toothpick drawing skills in the water marble are rather abysmal... that is probably the most challenging part for me, lol. But This turned out pretty well, at least for my usual marbling standards.
Definitely not as pretty as the manicure it was modeled after but I'm still calling it a success!
Go check out Amanda's blog to see what she came up with for this week's Pinterest Inspired Post!

The Lazy 15 Challenge Day 4: Water Marble
Hey guys!
Today's Lazy 15 Challenge is the dreaded watermarble. Ugh. How did this make the cut?! LOL
I am awful at water marbling and I just don't know how to get better. I've watched the videos a bunch of times and nothing works best for me. Whatever, it's passable, I guess! LOL
I started with a base of white (random white that I use for bases), then I used all China Glaze polishes:
Emerald FItzgerald (the green)
Cowgirl Up (burgundy)
Visit Me In Prism (bottle I'm holding)
Also, I dinged my middle finger while the polish was still wet so that's why it looks bumpy. It was no fault of the polish, only the operator! And I added a thin layer of VMIP over everything.
Certainly not the best at all, BUT it was a little better than I expected. Maybe. Okay, probably not.

SNAAARKM Challenge Day 7: Water Marble
Hey guys! Fun fact: This is my 300th Post! Whoohoo!!
And I'm posting this early because I've got super fun plans for this evening soo... yeah! You get to see my post earlier than the rest, muahahaha!
Today is the last day of the SNAAARKM Challenge. I've had fun with these posts; have you enjoyed reading them?
For the last challenge, we are water marbling. I've only water marbled once and it was easier the first time than it was this time! What?? I don't know what's up with that.
Onto the pictures!
Yeah... not very pretty. I liked a few of the nails but not most of them. I did get compliments on this mani, though, and that made me feel good :-)
I used:
Wet n Wild Black Creme
NOPI Back To Reality...TV
China Glaze Lemon Fizz
China Glaze Make Some Noise
China Glaze Flying Dragon
In my experience, China Glaze works the best for marbling. I don't know why that is, but I got much better results this time than I did with my first attempt at this challenge using a different brand. Did that even make sense??? Whatevs.
What do you think? Have you water marbled? Do you like it? Do you have secrets you can share? LOL
