Orly La La Land for Spring 2017 Collection!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Happy New Year!! Wow.. just wow!

Today I have a SPRING collection! Wow. I am totally okay with Spring because I'm not a winter person but it seems like each season, products start releasing faster and faster!

This is the Orly Spring collection, called La La Land. I really love Orly polishes and have been enjoying the collections they've released in the past few years. And I LOVE the 6 piece collections. Can we just stop with the 12 or 18 piece collections? It's so overwhelming! Anyway, let's get to these polishes!

Head In The Clouds is a pastel pink. I should mention that all of these polishes are pastel and all are quite sheer on the first coat; I would almost venture to call these crelly polishes. This was 3 coats.

Cool in California is a pastel peach. Again, this was 3 coats.

As Seen On TV is pastel purple. This is the only polish that covered in 2 coats.

Forget Me Not is a pale sky blue. Another one that needed 3 coats.

Big City Dreams is a mint green. And yep, 3 coats.

Anything Goes is a an iridescent sheer polish with pink circle glitter and blue star glitter.  You definitely have to place the shaped glitter but it's fairly easy to swirl the brush around and pick up pieces of glitter. I used one coat over each of the polishes, with glitter placement.

To be very honest, I was a tad disappointed with the opacity in these polishes, even though pastels are typically 3 coats. I just thought there were still a few streaks and uneven marks at 3 coats :-/ I do love the colors, however and I always love seeing mainstream polishes using circle glitter!!!

KBShimmer Holo Swatches!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I am continuing my KBShimmer untrieds and this week, I have some gorgeous holos to show you!

Run! It's The Coppers! Is a beautiful copper linear holograph. As per usual with KBShimmer, the formulas on all of these polishes were fantastic. This covered completely in 3 coats.

Rust No One is a rusty orangey red holo. This is 2 coats!

Kringle All The Way is an assorted red, green, silver glitter topper that was released a few years ago and the proceeds went to charity. And yep, it's been untried for that long. Sigh. This was one coat with a few of the larger glitters blobbed on.

Poppy Kisses is a bright red holo. This had an AMAZING formula and covered in two coats. I Love love love this red!

Twinsie Tuesday: Glitter Placement

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Today we are doing Glitter placement, which I enjoy even though it's painstaking. So I took the easy way out and did little flowers.

I started with 2 coats of Orly's Snowcone, a beautiful cornflower blue creme.

Then I dotted Orly's Jealous Much? in a flower pattern and added circle gold holographic glitters in the center. I reversed this for my pinky and index fingers. Added some topcoat and there are some cutie little glitter placement flower dots.

Salon Perfect Flower Manicure

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

I have a simple little flower manicure using some of the polishes that I won from a recent Nail Glossip from Salon Perfect!

I used Traffic Cone as my base, two coats. As a neon, it dried matte. Then I picked out the bar glitters and circle glitters to make the flower and flower "foliage". I'd love to tell you the name of this polish but there is no label on the bottom. (EDIT: Duh Amanda, google. It's called Spider Legs!) This took some time but it wasn't anything outrageous. I added two coats of topcoat and called it good.

What do you think? I like it!

Polish 'M & Love, Angeline Halloween Duo

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

Sooooo this is apparently the week of showing polishes that you can't purchase, whoops! This is the Halloween Duo from Polish 'M and Love, Angeline. This has sold out and as far as I know, there are no plans for a restock.

Polish 'M's contribution is called Spooktacular. This is a white crelly with purple, yellow, orange, and black glitters in assorted sizes and shapes. The glitters were abundant in this polish and no fishing was required. This took 3 coats to cover completely and I added one coat of topcoat.

Love, Angeline's contribution is called A Little Batty. This is a black jelly with purple, green, and yellow circle glitters, with microglitters abounding throughout. This was 2 coats, plus topcoat. Again, no fishing required; the glitters were easily applied to the nail.

What do you think of these? I love black jellies so I'm partial to the Love, Angeline but they are both really fun for Halloween!

Stardust Polish Week: Lovely Lilac, Blue Skies, and Gnome Made

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose

As we come to the final day of our little Stardust Polish Week, I'd like to ask if you enjoyed this? Is there a particular brand that you would like to see featured for the week? It doesn't have to be an indie, but if you have one in mind, please let me know and I'll see if I can accommodate that request :-)

Today, I am bringing you polishes that are sadly no longer available from Stardust Polish. Sorry to do that to you but I had to show you these beautiful babies!

Lovely Lilac is a beautiful lilac holo. The holo in this is not very strong, it's more of a glitter but the color is just beautiful. I did two thin coats with topcoat.

Gnome Made is one half of the Gnome Box that Drema and Rica from Just Rica release monthly. This is a medium blue jelly with pastel blue, green, and purple circle glitters and some green hexes. 3 coats plus a top coat.

Blue Skies is one of my all time favorite Stardust Polishes. It's a gorgeous tealish, aqua-ish holo, it has a perfect formula, and I mean.. LOOK AT THE COLOR! The first picture is without top coat, the second is with topcoat.

So I hope that you guys enjoyed this Feature Week! Like I mentioned above, if you have a brand or feature that you would like to suggest, please let me know!

You can purchase Stardust Polish here. Be sure to follow her on Facebook and Instagram for sneak peeks are upcoming restocks and new releases!

Nayll Polishes

Hey guys!

                                                                                                                                Nothing To Disclose

I'm sure you've heard of Nayll by now. You can go to nayll.com and create a completely custom polish! I've made several and this is one of my favorites :-)

As I'm sure you are aware, I love circle glitter. Love isn't even a strong enough word. I'm obsessed with it. Uhb-sessed. So when I saw all of the circle glitters available on the Nayll website, I knew I had to use them. All of them. So that's what I did, lol. I selected the raspberry jelly base and proceeded to add as many circle glitters to my polish as I was allowed. There are 10, I believe. And I named it Avery because that's my daughter and she's adorable :-p

This was 2.5ish coats, with top coat. I am definitely not one for patience so I didn't wait long enough in between coats for the polish to dry which is why it looks a skosh lumpy. My bad!

Check out the Nayll Instagram to see some of the beautiful polishes that can be created! And head to Nayll.com to start creating your own polish(es)!

Aliquid Lacquer Two Pleasant Peninsula's Collection!

Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose

Well since I'm from Michigan, I obviously had to have the Aliquid Lacquer Two Pleasant Peninsulas collection! The descriptions I will be using are from the Aliquid Lacquer website.

The formula's on all of these were very good; Wolverine Loves Spartan was a little thick but it's also packed with glitters in a crelly base.

Do you like my beautiful nail polishing mat? LOL!

Wolverines Love Spartan - 3 coats. This was a little thick due to the glitters and my impatience in waiting between coats :-) I did use a top coat with this polish.
This polish combines the colors of Michigan's two largest universities, Michigan State and the University of Michigan. They may be rivals in real life, but they work together in perfect harmony on your nails!

Wolverine Loves Spartan is a white crelly with matte green, blue and yellow hexes.

Petoskey Stone - 2 coats
Inspired by Michigan's state stone!
Petoskey Stone is a warm grey with green, gold and brown shimmers, plus holographic sparkle.

People of Three Fires - 2 coats
This polish is named for the alliance of three closely related Algonquian tribes native to Michigan and neighboring areas: the Ojibwe, Ottawa and Potawatomi. These peoples developed a pictographic writing system to record their history, myths, and medicinal recipes, which continue to be passed on to the next generation.

People of the Three Fires is a brick red polish with sparkles of blue, purple and red.

Cherry Festival - 2 coats
Michigan produces more sour cherries than any other U.S. state (sour cherries are the kind used in pies and preserves). Every July, Traverse City holds a cherry festival that attracts over 500,000 visitors!
Cherry Festival is a bubblegum pink crelly with red and silver-green hexes, plus gold shimmer and flecks.

I'm Heading Strait to Mackinac - 2 coats
The two peninsulas of Michigan are separated by the narrow Straits of Mackinac, where Lakes Michigan and Huron meet. The Mackinac Bridge, one of the longest suspension bridges in the world, connects the two halves of the state. One of Michigan's top tourist attractions, Mackinac Island, lies just a few miles from the bridge. Also... fudge! SO much delicious fudge in Mackinaw City and on Mackinac Island!
I'm Heading Strait to Mackinac is a serene blue polish with a soft holographic effect and flecks of green, blue and silver.

Yooper - 3 coats
Inspired by the wild forests, cold lakes and mountains of the Upper Peninsula. "Yooper" is an affectionate term for residents of "the U.P."
Yooper is a dark green jelly full of flecks of green, blue, gold and brown, plus holographic sparkle.

Lake Michigan Sunset - 3 coats
Lake Michigan Sunset is a sheer slate grey polish with flecks of gold, orange and pink. This polish was inspired by a photograph Alison took on a family vacation.

Motor City - 3 coats
An homage to Detroit, home of the automobile and Motown music!
Motor City is a black jelly with lots of metallic and holographic circles and squares in various sizes, plus silver flakes.

I really loved this collection. As I get older, I am loving my state and appreciating it more than I used to. Michigan sometimes gets a bad reputation (particularly Flint and Detroit) but it truly is a beautiful state to live, visit, or vacation in! So yay Aliquid Lacquer/Alison for creating a lovely collection to showcase the beauty and history of my state :-)

Starrily Dunk Me Maybe

Hey guys!

This post is about Starrily!

When I saw black and white circle glitter, I had to have it. I didn't even fully inspect the polish to notice that there was donut glitter in the mix! LOL

Dunk Me Maybe, one coat over Wet n Wild Love Me Some Muscles. I'm not the biggest fan of donut glitter, but ya'll know how I feel about circle glitter so I will have to live with the donuts. MMmmm.. donuts....

This is going to be a great topper over so many colors, i need to play with it some more!

Have you tried Starrily yet? They have an awesome Custom option on their website!

Lac Attack Tricks & Treats

Hey guys!

So these were totally for Halloween but I'm showing them late, whoops. I blame Avery. (when is it not acceptable to blame your kid for things anymore?)

First, Vampire Bite. This is a fuchsia jelly with black glitter and white shards of glitter. 3 coats.

Spiced Pumpkin is a mixture of orange, green, pink glitters. This was only 2 coats! Obvy this is perfect for laying but I used it on its own here.

Sugar Skull is a mixture of square, circle and skull glitters in a clear shimmery base. This is one coat with some blobbage over Sinful Cold Leather. The circle glitters aren't curling, they are a bit holographic! The skull wasn't laying perfectly flat.

There ya go! Check out Ana's shop at LacAttack.com!
