No. 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray! Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

I have a hair care product to show you today! I don't often talk about a lot of hair products because my hair is kind of strong-willed and does what it wants, and that is usually.... nothing, lol! I have super thick, but super fine and straight hair and product just doesn't seem to hold! Hair spray, texture spray, a curl won't hold... etc., etc. you get the idea! But I'm always interested to try new hair products because I cannot be the only person with thick, but fine and straight hair! Something has to work, right??

No. 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray is a great alternative to typical salt sprays.

I sprayed the product through my hair and then blow dried my 'do. I mean, definitely some volume was added to my hair! I thought about leaving it this way because I cannot lie.... I was digging the Jimmy Neutron bang lol!

Alas, I didn't leave it that way and styled my hair as I usually do, which is basically just brushing it out.

The volume held pretty well throughout the day. My hair is VERY heavy because it's so thick but by the end of the day, I still had some decent volume in my hair.

A sugar spray is a great alternative to a salt spray for several reasons, and I'm going to tell you why:

- Sugar sprays are moisturizing
- They don't strip your hair of essential oils and hair color, which causes dry and brittle hair
- Sugar sprays can also help strengthen your hair!

Have you tried No.4 products before? They are available for purchase in salons and select retailers nationwide. For a complete listing, please visit www.number4hair.com

This spray retails for $22.

Sally Hansen Big Shiny and Big Matte Top Coats - Review

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample

I was recently sent two topcoats from Sally Hansen: The Big Shiny Top Coat and the Big Matte Top Coat.

Personally, the look of flakies mattified is just so lovely to me so I definitely wanted try this matte topcoat out with Great Lakes Lacquer I Left My Heart At Houghton, which I posted yesterday. I applied one coat of the matte topcoat over the GLL and waited a few seconds. The matte topcoat dried very quickly and and evenly. I wore the matte topcoat for about 3 days and didn't have any chipping, which is very impressive for my nails!

The Big Shiny Topcoat is a pretty standard, but good topcoat. I didn't notice anything exceptional about it, other than it covered nicely without any lumps or bumps or streaking in one coat.

Have you tried either of these topcoats? What did you think?

The Treat Vox Box from Influenster!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have a different post for you: a review of my Treat Vox Box from Influenster!

This was sent to me through Influenster, which is a free website that anyone can use. All that is needed is some sort of social media platform to share your opinions on the boxes that you receive. I've received several vox boxes over the years and always enjoy trying out the products, beauty or otherwise!

This box is all about treats, for mom and baby. I have been sharing bits of my box on Instagram and Twitter so I will quickly review the items here :)

First, some Yum-V's, a probiotic contains an optimal dosage of probiotic for children, delivered in a delicious white chocolate flavor bear. I gave these to my toddler and she gobbled them right up. These are gluten free and non GMO, which is really awesome!

Next we have a coupon for $1 off a box of Yogi Tea. I purchased the Positive Energy tea which has a sweet tangerine flavor. I hadn't tried this flavor before but I really enjoy it! I do like Yogi Tea and was pretty happy to have a coupon for it.

The next thing in the box was a foil packet of Weleda Calendula Shampoo and Body wash. This smelled really really nice and was gentle on my little girl's skin. I don't know where I can purchase Weleda in stores around me but I would look into it, as we liked this shampoo!

The largest item in the box was a 4 pack of assorted Hills Bros Cappucino K Cups: French Vanilla, Salted Caramel, Double Mocha, and English Toffee. These were deeeeelicious!!! They have a mild flavor and aren't very strong but are perfect for a little afternoon pick me up!

Also included in the box were some single serve packets of Hills Bros English Toffee Cappuccino.

Lastly, a coupon for a free Country Crock Spread. I purchased the Country Churn variety and added this to my stuffing and casseroles and I really could taste the butter churn flavor. I was kind of surprised!

I have pictures of most of these items on my Instagram and a review will be up soon! :)

Twinsie Tuesday: Birds

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample

Today we are being inspired by birds and let me tell you: I cheated THE MOST this week, lol. I did not have time to come up with anything fun for birds at all so I checked my handy dandy spreadsheet for any polishes with "bird" in the title". I found a few and came up with this combination! I will have you know, this is the first time I'm using multiple brands for one manicure in FOREVER. I honestly can't remember the last time I didn't use all one brand!!

butter LONDON Ladybird (PR) is a bright orange red creme that borders on a jelly. I used two coats. Then I added Lac Attack T-Bird (WHERE ARE YOU LAC ATTACK, I MISS YOU!!!!), a gold and black and white glitter topper.

I know, I know. It's the least birdly manicure ever but there is just nothing that can be done about that fact, lol.

Foreo Luna Mini - Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample Affiliate Link

Today I have a review of the Foreo Luna Mini facial cleanser! I was really excited to try this facial cleansing 'brush', as I have used the Clarisonic Mia before and wanted to compare the two!

The Foreo Luna Mini comes in 5 colors: Cool Grey, Petal Pink, Magenta, Purple, and Turquoise Blue, which is the color I chose. The very first thing I noticed about the Luna Mini in comparison to the Clarisonic is that it's very lightweight. While the Luna doesn't have a handle, per se, it is easy to hold with a silicone soft touch grip and an indent where you turn the Luna on, which also doubles as a nice spot to grip the Foreo.

The Luna Mini offers two speeds and that is perfect for me. I like the slower speed for all over face cleansing and use the faster speed for cleansing my jaw and neckline. There is a pause in vibration after 30 seconds, which indicates that you should focus the Foreo Luna Mini on a different part of your face. I prefer the pause in vibration instead of the brush turning off altogether, as the Clarisonic does.

Another thing that I love about the Foreo versus the Clarisonic is that you don't have to replace the heads! I was always terrible at remembering how long it had been since I had changed the Clarisonic head and I LOVE that I don't even have to think about it with the Foreo Luna Mini.

One more pro for the Foreo Luna Mini is how long the charge lasts. I charged it once and have been using it for about a month with no need to charge again! That is awesome and also perfect for those who travel frequently and don't want to haul a charging cord with them. I should mention that the Foreo Luna is charged via a short USB cord so it can be charged right from your computer AND it charges very quickly.

I'm pretty impressed with this guy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try a facial cleansing brush!

Foreo was kind enough to provide a discount code for my readers! Use the code FASHIONFOOTING for 10% off the Luna or the Luna Mini, plus Free Shipping!

Rimmel Wonder'Lash Lift Me Up Mascara - Review

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today we are going to be reviewing the new Rimmel Wonder'Lash Lift Me Up mascara. This is a cool mascara because it's cucumber scented and is infused with cucumber extract and vitamins, which is supposed to deliver a nourishing and conditioning effect to your lashes.

The wand is a natural bristle brush in an hourglass shape. The brush itself is rather large, which was a bit cucumbersome for not getting mascara on your eyelid, no matter how careful you are. However, that's always an easy fix so it didn't bother me.

I would classify this mascara formula as being on the dry side but it was also easy to apply. I am not one to ever put coats upon coats of mascara on, I usually stop at two and didn't find this to be clumpy or goopy at two coats.

The color I am trying is 003 Extreme Black. There is also a regular Black color option.

I have a decent length to my lashes but they are very straight. This did help to volumize my eyelashes! It wasn't groundbreaking volume, but it was there and it was nice.

The cucumber scent is faint but pleasant and you can't smell it once the mascara has been applied. I can't say that I noticed my eyelashes felt conditioned but I also never touch my eyelashes to feel how conditioned they may or may not be, lol.

This mascara is in stores now and retails for $8.99

What do you think? Are you intrigued??

Makeup Monday: Dior Addict Lip Glow - Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample Affiliate Link

Today I have a review of the Dior Addict Lip Glow! This is a little bit interesting: this balm claims to enhance and beautify the natural color of your lips. As the color reacts to the unique chemistry of your lips, it will look different on every skin tone. These types of products fascinate me! I was so excited to try it out and see how it would look on me!

I love the packaging, it's very sleek and sturdy.

The product itself is a sheer pink color but applies as a clear balm. It smells DELIGHTFUL, like vanilla mint!

This is a picture of my bare lips. I was trying not to smile to not change the color of my lips so you get some RBF instead, lol!

This is the balm on my lips, immediately after application:

This is the balm on my lips after about 10 minutes. I wasn't sure how long it would take to see any difference in color so that's why I waited about 10 minutes.

As you can see, it didn't change much. However, it's still a nice balm to wear; it feels moisturizing. I think this is perfect for throwing in your purse and slapping on whenever you need a little bit of refreshment on your lips! Also... the smell. It smells lovely. Vanilla Minty goodness!

SinfulColors Bombay Nights Appliques

Hey guys!

Press Sample

SinfulColors has released some new nail stickers and I have one of the designs to share with you!

The packaging says "Bombay Nights Appliques Foiled Again" so I'm not sure if the name is Foiled Again or Bombay Nights but regardless.... this is what they look like, lol.

I applied my stickers over OPI's You're So Outta Lime. There are several sizes to choose from and three rows of stickers. So 3 of each size sticker. Once you have found the size that fits your nail, simply fold the sticker over the end of the nail and file off the extra.

These looked much better in person, the wrinkles were not as obvious! That was user error on my part, whoops!

NYC Peel Off Base Coat - Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Today I have a sort of different review for you, though still nail related. NYC recently released a Peel Off Base Coat that turns any polish into a peel-able polish. This is perfect for glitters, as we all know what a pain they to remove!

I tested this with Ellagee's Jewel Encrusted, which is a multi-colored glitter with micro gold holographic glitter. I did three coats for opacity, plus two coats of topcoat.

The next day, I attempted to remove the glitter by gently picking at the edges and voila! Off came the polish! Most nails peeled off in one sheet, although as you can see a few came off in pieces.

And after the peeling! Not a speck of glitter polish left! Wow!!

I was very impressed with with this peel off base coat. I wouldn't recommend it for a manicure you want to last for several days, as it did peel off quite easily after the one day. Since I change my nails just about every day, it worked really well for me!

The Peel Off Base Coat retails for $2.99 and is available at mass retailers nationwide.

Firmoo Sunglasses, A Review!

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Firmoo recently contacted me to review a pair of their glasses and I decided to jump on the chance. I don't wear prescription glasses, but I do love sunglasses! While they provided these sunglasses to me free of charge, I did pay for $10 upgrade fee to get sunglasses, as I wanted to be able to review a product I would thoroughly use and I wear sunglasses every time I drive or am outside, even if it's overcast.

The glasses arrived securely packaged and included a hard case and a soft drawstring case. There was also a microfiber cloth for cleaning the glasses and a dual ended screwdriver for making any adjustments to the frame.

The sunglasses arrived wrapped in the microfiber cloth, in the hard case to ensure they arrived safely. The style I selected is a plastic frame with a brown to red gradient frame and a brown tortoiseshell pattern and gold tips on the ends of the stems. They are ever so slightly flexible at the frame and stem connection.

I've been wearing these for several days and I'm happy to report that they are very comfortable. They don't slide down my nose or pinch and they fit nicely. I am used to glasses that are really really big so while these are smaller than I am used to, they still provide adequate sun blockage, haha.

Not too shabby, eh? :-p

Firmoo was kind enough to provide a discount (not affiliate) code for my followers. Simply submit your email on this link to be provided with a 50% off code, good for any frames on the site! Huzzah!

Makeup Monday: Barielle Line Eraser

Hey guys!

Press Sample

Barielle is primarily known for nail polish but they recently released a new Facial Line Eraser. This can be used alone of under makeup for a flawless look.

Now, I do not have a ton of lines or wrinkles yet, but I am sure they are on the way and prevention or at least the knowledge of how to mask wrinkles is always beneficial, right?? This product can also be used as a makeup primer or sorts and that is how I used it.

I'm going to be really honest: I was a bit freaked out when I saw the syringe-like applicator. I quickly realized that was just for ease of application, should you choose to use it as a line eraser.

Once you open the box, and pull out the plastic "syringe", you will see two caps that need to be removed, the clear hard plastic cap and a more fitted rubber cap. I was pleased to see there is twist lock to prevent the product from being squeezed out of the syringe when not in use.

The line eraser is a concealer color, but blends out to a skin tone and is not visible and once it's rubbed into the skin, I couldn't feel it on my face. There is no smell to the line eraser, either. It felt like nothing once I rubbed it in, which is awesome! I do not like to feel a lot of stuff on my face, lol.

What do you think? I like this for it's lightweight feel. Like I said, I don't really have any lines to conceal so I cannot testify to it's effectiveness in that aspect, but I do like it as a face primer!

You can purchase the Barielle Line Eraser here. It retails for $30.
