Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
How is it August and how is it time for another Bestie Twin Nails with Alaina from The Little Canvas??
Today we are doing a beautiful sunflower manicure! Sunflowers are my second favorite flower, just behind daisies. Don't you think a giant field of sunflowers is just so happy and friendly to look at? It's my favorite! So I grabbed some of my favorite Sally Hansen polishes and one of my all time favorite China Glaze polishes and got to work.
I started with a base of Sally Hansen Byte Blue, a gorgeous cobalt blue creme. I only did one coat because I knew I would be covering most of the nails with other colors or glitter but you do usually need two coats.
For the sunflower detail, I took a small brush and outlined the half circle for the center of the sunflower using Cocoa A Go Go. Then using Sally Hansen Butterscotch and Mellow Yellow to alternate the sunflower petals and used Butterscotch to dot the middle of the brown Cocoa A Go Go. So as not to leave the index and pinky nails out, I added one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust and then topcoat for all the nails.
Definitely not my best work but I really like these!
Talk to you soon!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired By Jewelry
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Today we are getting inspired by jewelry and not to pat myself on the back, but I recently made a rather lovely necklace for my Polished Findings shop (actually, for me lol) and I thought I would do a post on that piece.
I used China Glaze Westside Warrior, one of the most beautiful "ugly" colors I own. This is a murky, dark camo green and I love it. I used one coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust over 2 coats of Westside Warrior and then added some silver circle holo glitter.
I forget how lovely Fairy Dust is and am reminded every single time I wear it. It's subtle enough to not be too obnoxious (which isn't actually a thing in my opinion, lol) but spectacular enough to really zazz up a manicure!

Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas + A Giveaway!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Well folks, it's been a whole year since Alaina at The Little Canvas and I started our monthly Bestie Twin Nails series. I have really enjoyed these posts; it's getting me out of my comfort zone. Now we need to convince Alaina to branch out a bit and try some GLITTER PLACEMENT, AMIRIGHT?! :-p
For this look, we were inspired by Sensationails4U on Instagram. Alaina suggested we do butterflies because my daughter is not the best at saying "butterflies" and used to call them "guggafliesszzhhzh" (it was basically unintelligible, lol).
As always, I used the same brand for my manicure and grabbed some China Glaze polishes for the gradient: Fade Into Hue, Pack Lightly, and Lemon Fizz (purple, peach, yellow). I did an angled gradient and then added a coat of Fairy Dust and then drew my black butterfly lines with WnW Black Creme. The white dots are Salon Perfect Sugar Cube.
Now for the giveaway! There will be two winners, one from my blog and one from Alaina's! Prize number one is from Alaina and it's a mixture of Sally Hansen polishes.
Prize 2 is from me and consists of 2 KBShimmer holos, Men are from Marsala and Up & Cunning, both gorgeous holos. I'm also including an OPI Gwen Stefani 3 pack. You must be 18 years old, US only, and NO GIVEAWAY ACCOUNTS.

Bestie Twin Nails with The Little Canvas! Round 12!
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Can you believe that it's been one year since Alaina at The Little Canvas and I started doing a monthly Bestie Twin Nails?? I can't! It seems like jus yesterday we started doing this and she had to convince me to nail art and now here we are and I'm trying to convince her to do some glitter placement nails! LOL!
I used China Glaze I Sea The Point, Treble Make, Daisy Know My Name and of course, Fairy Dust. The white is OPI MBSW because I apparently don't own a white China Glaze!
For the flowers, I used my dotting tool to make a bigger blue flower, and then dotted the white in the blue and then the yellow. Then I slapped a coat of Fairy Dust on because Fairy Dust is magical and makes everything better, amiright??
Be sure to check out Alaina's nails and you might wanna come back next month for something special ;-)

Operation: Helmer - January's Results!
Hey guys!
For January, I was going to be focusing on using my first China Glaze drawer. I managed to do about 5 manicures this month, which is so sad when you think that I used to do my nails almost every day! Life as a mom, I tell ya :-p
Here are the manicures that I did in January:
So in total, I used 18 China Glaze polishes this month. Maybe it's cheating to do ombre's but I'm thinking that how a lot of my manicures are going to be, as I just don't have as much time to do my nails as I used to. Oh well. I think this was pretty successful, don't you?
Tomorrow, I will be posting the contest of February's drawer and asking for suggestions as to what polishes you most want to see for February!
What do you think? Did you use any of your untrieds or not as loved polishes this month?
Talk to you soon!
