Azature Blue and Black

I have the other two Azature polishes that I purchased from their $8 sale forever ago finally ready to post, lol.

Azature Blue is a GORGEOUS cobalt blue glitter/shimmer. This was two coats with topcoat, but truthfully, the second coat wasn't really needed. So stunning and it looked even better in more natural lighting, rather than under the light box.

Azature Black is a sheer black base with silver glitter. I put one coat over WnW Black Creme, plus topcoat.

Obviously the blue is my favorite. It was opaque in one coat!!! AND LOOK AT THE COLOR!! Gahh!

Twinsie Tuesday Break and Update!

Since our last break, we have gained and lost a few of our Twinsies  After some discussion, we decided it would be a great idea to introduce some new members come September time!  In the past, the group has sought out different bloggers to become part of the group, but this time we're doing it a little differently!

Currently, we are taking applications from any and all interested bloggers!  If you are interested in becoming a member of our little group, please fill out this application!  We post every Tuesday at 9am EST.  Our posts are centered around a theme which is determined ahead of time.

Powder Perfect Inklings Collection

When I saw that Powder Perfect and Grace-full polish released a collaboration collection based on Lord of the Rings, I knew I needed to own these polishes. I mentioned before my love for LOTR and was excited to wear these polishes and I had been wanting to try Powder Perfect for a while.

Borders of the Forest is a blackened green with green flakies. This had a nice formula, I used 2 coats, plus topcoat.

Horse-lords is a red jelly base with gold, black, red, and iridescent assorted glitters. This also had a nice formula, the glitter was very dense and I only needed 2 coats plus top coat.

King of Carven Stone is a gorgeous dark teal holographic polish with green flakies. Thi was 2 coats with topcoat.

The Citadel is a brilliant blue holographic. In my notes, I wrote "2 glorious coats, TC" LOL. So I apparently did 2 coats and top coat and it had an amazing formula. But look at this color. LOOK AT IT!! <3<3

These are just lovely. You know I love the blues because blue is my jam. Overall, I really liked these polishes. The formula's were all really nice and easy to apply.

Priti Polishes

I have 6 polishes to share with you from Priti NYC. I purchased these from HauteLook several months ago and they sat in Mount Polish until now.

Scotch Thistle is a dusty green color. This was 2 coats. It's a little thin but manageable.

Baby's Tears (a really odd name, in my opinion) is a jelly so for opacity, I used 4 coats. There seemed to be some pigment that wasn't mixed up, but honestly, I'm not sure if that's part of the polish or a mistake, lol.

May Flower is another dusty looking polish, a purple. This was 2 coats, no topcoat.

Canterbury Bells is a gahhhhgeous cobalt blute creme. This was 2 coats but it was almost opaque in one. Love Love.

Sea Holly is a dark dark blue creme, again almost opaque in 1 coat, but I used 2.

Lastly, Midnight Blue Gerbera is a blue jelly with green glitter. This was 3 coats with 1 coat of topcoat. There was a minor bit of staining with this polish but I don't swatch with a base coat so I am imagining that a base coat would greatly help the staining situation. This was super gorgeous, I definitely was a big fan of this color!

Grace-full Polish The Lights In The Party Tree

Grace-full Polish The Lights in the Party Tree is a bright green microglitter with blue, purple, and pink microglitters and some holographic glitter in a green jelly base. I used 2 coats, plus top coat.

This is a polish from the Inklings collection, a collaboration with Powder Perfect and EllaAnn Cosmetics. I personally love The Lord of the Rings, both the books and the movies.  The relationship between Samwise and Frodo is so special and sweet, it makes me want to cry. On the product page for this polish is this description:

"Inspired by my favourite of all Tolkien’s fictional places The Shire. 
Frodo Baggins: I can see the Shire. The Brandywine River, Bag End, Gandalf's fireworks, the lights in the party tree. 
Samwise Gamgee: Rosie Cotton dancing. She had ribbons in her hair. If ever I was to marry someone, it would have been her. [sobs] It would have been her! 
Frodo Baggins: I'm glad to be with you, Samwise Gamgee, here at the end of all things."

This is such a gorgeous color and the formula was really good. This is my first Grace-full polish but I will definitely be trying more.

Elevation Polish

Today I have my first two Elevation Polishes to share with you!

Both of these polishes had really great formulas and were two coats.

Muztgah Ata is dark blue holographic. Because I do my swatches at night under a lightbox, I don't get the sun shot of the holo but this was more holo in person than the picture is showing. I have seen some sun shots of this polish and it's STUNNING! Without the color, it's still a gorgeous color but the added holo in the sun is <3

 Epidote 2 is a bright lime green holo. This was again two coats, with a perfect formula. I didn't do any clean up for either of these polishes. Per-fect.

I kind of wish that I didn't love these so much or they weren't so perfect to apply because now I want more!! So so gorgeous!

Smokey Mountain Lacquer Solar Holos - Review

Today I have a really neat polish to share with you: solar holos! I do not own a lot of thermal or solar polishes; they just don't seem to work very well on my nails so I wasn't entirely sure how visible the solar change would be with these but I was excited to try them!

I would suggest using very thin coats for these. The polishes won't be opaque until they are in the sun and the solar effect takes over.

All of these pictures show 3 thin coats with topcoat.

The first polish is Red Solar, in it's indoor state.

Outdoor state. This is a really pretty fuchsia color.

Another thing to note, they change EXTREMELY quickly in the sun. I was amazed at how instant the color transformation was, as any color changing polishes that I've tried in the past have not worked very well for me.

I think these will be really cool for nail art or sort of hidden nail art, especially if you are going to be going to any sort of outdoor event and the nail art will just appear as if from nowhere! LOL. Or obviously they are just cool to wear on their own for a full effect color changing manicure.
