Review: Northern Star Polish

Hey guys!

Kristen from Northern Star polish was kind enough to send me a few bottles of her polish to review! Let's get to it!

Northern Star Polish is 3 Free, and Kristen uses stainless steel agitator balls and solvent resistant glitters. Her polishes come in two sizes: 0.3 oz for $6 and 0.5 oz for $9. Now let's get to the polish!

First is Poppy Refreshed. This is a sheer pink base with yellow gold glitter and pale pink and darker pink flower glitter. This is 3 coats. The polish was a little bit thick, so I think I would layer it over a similar pink next time but I really liked this. I an not huge on shaped glitter, but I love flowers of any sort :-)

The second polish is called Kismet's Kiss, a clear based polish with diamond and heart glitters and pink and (maybe purple) micro glitters. I layered one coat over black. The hearts were readily available in this baby. Yay!

She also included some cuticle oil, which smells so freaking fantastic, I could drink it (don't worry, I won't!) But seriously... it smells gooooood! The oil contains olive oil, glycerin, almond oil, and grapeseed oil. It works pretty well, from as far as I can tell. I've been using it for the last few days and I really like it. And like I said... my fingers smell amazeballs after I use it! LOL

You can purchase Northern Star Polish here on her Etsy shop.

Lac Attack Candy Hearts Collection

Hey guys! Happy Weekend! I hope you have fun plans, even if they include hanging out at home! That's relaxing :-)

Today I have Ana from Lac Attack's Candy Hearts Valentine's Day collection! This collection Limited Edition collection consists of 3 mini polishes. Let's get to it!

First up, Kiss Me, a pink and white shredded matte glitter in a clear base. I layered 1 coat of this over China Glaze Urban Nights. This had very good consistency, I dabbed a little bit of the shreds around but otherwise very easy to apply!

Next is Small Talk, a milky mint green base with coral and pink hex glitters. I layered one coat of this over China Glaze Holly Jolly, a dark green.

Finally, U R 2 Cute, a blue, purple, and pink micro holographic glitter with holographic hearts. I layered one coat over Bettina Flip Flops. The hearts were very easy to come out of the bottle, almost no fishing required! And look at how pretty and holographic they are!!

This collection can be purchased as a set or the individual mini's at Lac Attack's store.

Talk to you soon!

Happy Hands Art is Hard & Motherboy

Hey guys! Happy Saturday! Any fun plans? I'm running some errands today and continuing to clean and purge everything in my house, lol. Fun times.

OPI Call Me Gwenever is a bright coral. It was in between what the first and second picture show, the first is without flash, the second with flash. Crappy, I know.

I layered 2 coats of Happy Hands Art Is Hard over CMG. Art Is Hard is full of blue, purple, red, and heart matte glitter. Love! I used one coat of topcoat, but I would definitely use some Gelous or add a second coat next time. This applies to both of the Happy Hands polishes.

On my right hand, I used Happy Hands Motherboy over CMG. Motherboy is pastel purple, green, pink, and blue glitter. Again, one coat of topcoat, I'd suggest at least 2 or some Gelous.

Talk to you soon!
