Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
When I told about the Little Black Dress Challenge for the DailyLook website, I was initially thinking of a nail art look. While I love fashion, I am pretty basic with my attire so I was glad that the 'assignment' turned out to be a virtual style set, lol!
Every woman knows what a LBD is: the Little Black Dress. I think it's safe to say that pretty much every woman owns a little black dress of some sort. That is, everyone except for me! Yep. That's right. As basic as I am with my wardrobe, I love color so I never gravitate towards the basic black or white colors for clothing. Blue, green, and purple make up the vast majority of my wardrobe, which I'm sure you're not surprised about if you have been a reader for a while.
Since I am in a transition phase of my wardrobe/weight right now, I'm not running out to buy any new clothes so picking out a virtual wardrobe was much more appealing to me! I picked something that I would actually wear or buy; even though I would like to wear the super sparkly mini dresses... let's be real: I'm a mom now, lol.
So where would I wear this outfit? Well, like I said... I'm a mom, I have an 18 month old and I've been married for almost 10 years.... my husband and I don't have a lot of date nights! But let's say we did and let's say I needed to dress up for this date night, I would love to wear something like the following image.
I LOVE this midi dress, partially for the length and partially because it has pockets!! Dresses with pockets are my favorite thing ever and I don't know why it wasn't more common until recently!!
The shoes I selected were pretty simple; I originally had some super sparkly sequin heels but I thought I should tone it down a bit and I didn't really like how the shoes looked with the dress.
This statement necklace is divine, I want to own this right now. And I wanted to add some color with the bracelets and the mint bracelets are so pretty layered around the gunmetal leaf bracelet, I think! And then, duh. The clutch? Yeah, perfectly sparkly and lovely.
So making these Style Sets was so fun! I am going to make a bunch more and hopefully it will help me to not be such a schlub in my attire!! LOL!!
Talk to you soon!

L'Oreal Masked Affair and Totally D'Accord
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
I managed to track down a bottle of L'Oreal's Masked Affair and I couldn't buy just one polish because they were BOGO 50% off so I also picked up Totally D'Accord. These polishes are based on or in relation to the Fifty Shades of Grey movie, which I'm not going to lie: I could not even sort care less about this movie and I can't wait until it comes to theaters so everyone can stop talking about it, lol!
ANYWAY, back to the polishes, lol! Masked Affair is a gorgeous polish. It's is a silver, almost purpley strong linear holographic polish. This was 2 coats and it had a great formula. I used 2 coats of Totally D'Accord on the ring finger, which is a dark dark teal color and slightly texturized. This picture is with topcoat on all of the nails and you can see how strong the holo effect is even after top coat!
And I couldn't leave any pictures out so you get three very similar pictures to look at ;-)
I am not sure if this collection is limited edition but I would hurry to find it, because people are sort of going crazy over Masked Affair and for good reason: it's gorgeous!

Twinsie Tuesday: Monochromatic
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Today's Twinsie Tuesday prompt is monochromatic, which is all the same color or different tones of the same color.
Since I am on a quest to tackle Mount Polish, I am trying really hard to stick to using the polishes in my Monthly Untrieds Bins and I happened to have two polishes that I think can be considered monochromatic!
First, I used one coat of Bonita Starry Night, a gorgeous dark teal with shimmer. Again I say... one coat. Yeah. I think I need to acquire more Bonita polishes, because the few that I've used have been amazing. Acquiring polishes while purging and trying to use a mountain of untried polishes makes total sense, right?? Yikes.
Then I added two coats of Revlon Elusive on my ring finger. This is a black almost jelly with teal glitter. It dries to a matte finish so I did add top coat for this picture.
Kind of super simple but it was pretty. I really love this Bonita color!!
Don't forget to check out the other Twinsies to see their take on the Monochromatic look!

A Nail Fail: Sephora by OPI
Hey guys!
Nothing To Disclose
Today's post is a big fat nail polish fail. I was going to do a nude and purple glitter gradient and pulled out my Sephora By OPI Thyme For A Mani and well.... it did not go well.
Since I am going through my untrieds, I hadn't used this polish before. Imagine my surprise when this was the result! I used the same base coat that I always do and applied one coat of TFAM. Uhmm.. what is happening here?
I tried a second coat and it did the same thing! I have never had a polish do this, unless it was a crackle and this most certainly is not a crackle, lol. I had to laugh because it was such an epic fail!!
What was your biggest nail fail?

Barielle Gentle Breeze for Spring 2015
Hey guys!
Press Sample
Barielle presents the "Gentle Breeze collection, which reflects the soft, gentle, eclectic hues this most welcome and delightful season". I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring! Bring on the brights and warmth! LOL
Heaven Sent is a soft aquamarine, aka the perfect mint blue color! This was 2 coats. This was one of my favorites!
Champagne Bubbles is described as a tangerine creme but my immediate thought when I was applying it was "peanut butter". I used three thin coats.
Pink Parasol is a soft strawberry pink, or a perfect bubblegum pink. This was 3 thin coats.
Gray Sky is a greige frost. I used 2 coats here.
Under The Sea is a scuba blue shimmer and it should be no surprise that I love this color! It covered in two easy coats. You might want to double up on base coat for this color, as it will stain a bit!
I will say the formula on all of these was about perfect, I did very very very minimal cleanup for all of the swatches.
What do you think of these colors? Do they say "spring" to you??
You can purchase Barielle nail polish at www.barielle.com.
