Top 14 from 2014!

Hey guys!

Nothing To Disclose Press Sample Affiliate Link

I bring you... My Favorite 14 Nail Manicures of 2014! Or 14 from 2014, as my biffle Amanda (@GlitterBadass) named it. This will be my first favorites post since I've been blogging!! It's unclear why I'm so terrible at making these lists; probably because I have a horrible memory and can never remember half of the things I use during the year, lol! So I am going down memory blogging lane and showing you my favorite posts from the year! I will be featuring polishes that were blogged about and polishes shown on Instagram!

These are in no particular order, except that I went back through my Instagram and started in January, so they appear in the order they originally did on IG! I will leave the captions for those photos, as they contain all of the pertinent information :-)

So yeah. Wow. That was much harder than I anticipated! I will have you know that I had at least 20 manicures in here originally, lol! I was going to attempt a Top 14 favorite nail polish from 2014 but I think even think that's possible! I always say this but next year, I will start keeping track at the start of the year!! Eek. We will see, lol!

What are some of your favorite manicures from 2014??

Operation Helmer July Results!

Hey guys!

Hows it going? Today is my monthly Operation: Helmer post! Are you excited??? LOL

We'll just get right to it, shall we?

The first manicure I did this month was a neon mani using Pipe Dream Polish Light of Day and V.I.P. Pass. I also used a Lumina Lacquer glitter on the ring finger, Take My Breath Away. These colors were super intense, and I didn't use a white base for these! TRUE neons!

Next, I did a gradient using Color Club Nomadic in Nude and Sally Hansen Pacific Blue (the OG formula). I topped this with Liquid Afterglow Lacquer Unicorn Tears.

Next, I used Colors by Llarowe Surf My Wave, basically the most amazing blue holo of life!! love love love!

The next day, I added CBL Gemini Rising over Surf My Wave. LOVE!

You already saw my BTN with TheLittleCanvas, but I'll post them again :-)

I used ILNP Princess Diaries and OPI Pop The Cork! for a really sweet manicure. Princess Diaries is a very linear holographic light pink.

And I don't think I posted these on IG but I used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Chimera and a pink glitter that I cannot even sort of remember what it's called. Maybe Candy Lacquer Skulls & Roses?? Whoops.

These last two manicures were what I wore for my daughter's 1st birthday party. We had an 80s theme so I attempted a neon splatter mani and I quite liked it! I realized later that I should have used a white base but oh well! I did neon polka dots on the right hand.

Polishes used were all China Glaze:
Sun-Kissed (yellow)
Orange You Hot?
Heat Index (hot pink)
That's Shore Bright (purple)
Splish Splash (blue)

So a pretty good month! I also posted some reviews and did a bunch of swatches so I will have posts coming every Tuesday and Thursday for the next few weeks, at least! Whoo! I might change the posting time to MWF, but we will see how that all goes :-)

What were some of your favorite manicures this month??

Operation Helmer: May Results!

Hey guys!

How are you? I felt like I was going to be failing miserably at this month's challenge again but something kicked me in the buns towards the end of the month and I manager 8 manicures. Which doesn't sound like a lot but it's better than I've done in the past! LOL

The first manicure I did was using Nails Inc Kensington High Street with Nails Inc Baker Street and Deborah Lippman Va Va Voom on the middle two fingers.

Next was OPI's La Paz-itively Hot. I forget about this color and it's so pretty!

Cupcake Polish Life's A Beach. Guys. NEON BLUE HOLO! /dead.

Next, a teal skittle mani using:
ILNP Sniffany on the index and pinky and OPI Love. Angel. Music. Baby for the dots
Pipe Dream Polish Hello, Earthling on the thumb and middle
Essie Naughty Nautical on the ring finger with Lac Attack Imagine. Circle Glitters!

Next, I was feeling gradienty, so I busted out this bad boy with my Maybelline Bleached Neons (Bleached in Peach and Day Glow Teal), and a glitter from Northern Star Polish called Neon Chic. You guys on instagram loved this one :-)

I was still feeling the gradient vibe so I used ILNP Charmingly Purple and AC Slater for this purple to black smoky gradient.

And more ILNP for my first saran wrap mani! Under the Bleachers and Cupcake Polish She Wears Short Shorts. So fun! Reminiscent of crackle, but not as obnoxious.

And finally, some nail art! I used my buddy Alaina's tutorial for these super cute pansies!
Revlon Spanish Moss
LynBDesigns The Credible Hulk
OPI Can't Let Go
CarpeNoctem Pimp My Purple
Love Angeline Operation Sun

So I didn't really stick to the drawer (OPI) that I was supposed to this month but my untrieds bin has turned into a bin, a box, and a basket so I need to use those guys! I am purging as I go, don't worry :-)

What did you think of May's manicures??
