Buster's BarkBox!

Hey guys!

BarkBox is a monthly subscription service, similar to Birchbox, My Glam, etc, but it's for dogs! This is Buster's second BarkBox! What did he get, you ask? Well, let's see! There is a promo code at the end of this post :-)

A side note: I haven't used most of the stuff yet, because I just Buster just received the box. So follow me on Twitter or Instagram for BarkBox updates!

Ohhh goodies!

First, was a Spinz edible Chew Toy. I haven't given this to Buster yet and I'm not sure how he will feel about it. He loves toys that squeak so this will be a new experience for the dude.

Peach flavored bubbles! These are pretty awesome as they don't pop when they land on the grass... they almost feel rubbery. I was very curious to see how Buster reacted to these! He likes to chase leaves so I thought he would enjoy these.... he didn't quite understand what the point of the bubbles were, lol. He just stood outside and looked at me like "you want me to do what, now?" I think I will try again when he's in a more playful mood, haha!

DogMeat T-Bone Steak. I wasn't going to give this to Buster right away because if you follow me on Twitter, you've no doubt seen the monstrous pile of toys he is spoiled to own. But I pressed on the steak and when it squeaked he jerked his head around and looked right at it. Steak was his, lol. He loooves it!

That's his "don't take mah steak, momma!" face and pose! Notice the messy/wet beard. Usually his toys are all soft and absorb his slobber (it's disgusting, trust me) but since this is rubber/plastic, there is no where for the slobber to go. So it stays on his face. It's pretty hilarious, I think. Also kinda gross but I mean, come on... he's so cute!

Mini YumZies are grain free and BBQ flavored! (I'm not going to lie, when I saw "Natural BBQ Chicken Flavor", I contemplated eating one).

Poopy Packs are... well, packs for picking up poopies! Kinda gross but it has to be done when in a public place so at least it's cute and isn't clear. Eww, poop!

I like everything in the BarkBox and I will be sure to let you know how Buster likes them, as well.

Julep Maven American Beauty Introductory Box Review

Hey guys!

Today I will be reviewing the Introductory Julep Maven American Beauty Box. What is Julep, you ask?

The Julep Maven program is a monthly subscription service that features nail polish and occasionally other beauty products. To get started, simply go to the Julep home page and take the style quiz. From there, you can sign up to start receiving your monthly box! The boxes are $19.99 per month but are valued at around $40 or more per month. On top of that, you get 20% off any purchases made through the Maven boutique and free shipping on all orders!

On the 20th of each month, you will get an email letting you know what is in your box for the month. If you do not like the box contents, you can select a different style, or skip that month altogether! You can also forward the box to a friend if it's something you think your friend will like :-)

The boxes are shipped on the 25th of each month and are always very well packaged. There is usually some sort of candy or treat in the package, and who doesn't love that??

The Maven boxes receive a welcome letter, explaining a little bit about Julep and the program.

Also included is a notecard that describes the polishes you received that month and tips for different nail art, etc. on the back.

The extra this month was toe separators. Cute!

The Best Pedi Creme Ever! is also featured this month. This creme has an earthy scent, almost like fresh cut grass or straw, but I love that smell! I know that is not the best way to describe it and it probably sounds really weird, but that's what I was thinking when I was applying the lotion, lol.

This month's polishes were Renee and Eva. Renee is a light lavender purple creme. This was two easy coats, with no top coat. In my experience, Julep has a pretty stellar formula; no streaking, pooling, etc.

I love this color and immediately thought of my friend Renee who LOOOVVEESSS purple! It's like it was made for her, lol!

Next is Eva, a delicious raspberry creme. Again, two lovely coats, with no top coat. I like pink even though I don't usually wear it that often but this color is right up my alley.

If you decide to join Julep, use the code MAVENINTRO to get your first box for only $0.01!

And don't forget to enter the giveaway Julep is sponsoring! It ends July 30th!

Pink Wednesday! Petites Color Fever Galaxy with Pahlish Total Eclipse of the Heart

Hey guys! Yay for Pink Wednesday. Burgundy is pinkish enough, right? LOL

Petites Color Fever is... well, to be honest, I'm not sure how long I've had this polish. Several years, I think. And this is the first time I've gotten around to wearing it! What a shame! It's lovely!

Galaxy is a burgundy colored jelly with pink micro glitter. It's MUCH prettier on than it is in the bottle, which is probably why it took me so long to wear this baby!

I used 2 thin coats, with no top coat.

Then I added one coat of Pahlish Total Eclipse of the Heart (go ahead, start singing.... I know I do every time I look at this glitter!). TEofH is a hex glitter with red, silver, purple, and some bar glitter mixed throughout. LOVE! LOVE!!! This was one coat. I did 'blob' it on a little bit.

To finish it off, I added one coat of Galaxy over the glitter and voila! A jelly sandwich!

Pahlish can be purchased on Etsy and at shop.llarowe.com starting this week and Petites can be purchased at Rite Aid and I'm not sure where else.

Zoya Kimber

Hey guys!

Today I have a Zoya to share with you! This Zoya mini came in the Zoya Pinterest trio, along with Zuza and Myrta. I had already had these colors but I love Zoya so I didn't mind that I got duplicates (min duplicates, at that!)

Kimber is from the Surf Collection 2012 and is a magenta pink with strong gold flecks. Ya'll know I love me a glassflack polish and Zoya does them like no other!

I used 2 coats here, with Zoya's perfect formula as usual.

What do you think of Kimber? Did you get any of the Beach & Surf Collections? Which was your favorite?

Icing Pop A Botle

Hey guys! Hopefully everyone had a good weekend :-) I just got back from seeing The Dark Knight Rises; it was good! I like Batman but I have a soft spot for the Avengers ;-) Although I am a fan of Christian Bale ~_~

Today I have a polish from the Icing to share with you!

Icing has some pretty awesome glitters and ya gotta love permanent Buy One Get one 50%, right?

Pop a Bottle is a microglitter comprised of gold, blue, pink... and... maybe other colors, it's hard to tell! LOL I layered it over Essie Sure Shot, two coats.

Whatcha think?

China Glaze Grape Juice

Hey guys! What is everyone up to this weekend? I think we are going to see Jim Gaffigan in concert tonight. That should be a barrel of laughs :-)

China Glaze Grape Juice is one of those polishes that I always picked up to buy but always ended up putting it back for whatever reason. But I finally purchased it from a blog sale and I'm super glad I did... why did I wait so long??

A purple glassflecked polish (good grief, I love glassflecks...), this covered very nicely in 3 thin coats. PURPLE GOODNESS NOMNOMNOMNOM!!

I love Grape Juice, how 'bout you?

Zoya Jem

Hey guys!

Zoya Jem is a polish that I received in an Adopt A Polish friend group that I am part of on Facebook. It is from the Zoya Mirrors collection from Fall 2011.

Zoya describes Jem as: "A dark red-toned purple base with metallic dark pink highlights and subtle gold duochrome flecks. This shade has it all; bold color, vampy drama, bright sparkle and a glam rock persona." Pretty much sums it up!

I used 2 coats, no top coat.

I have to say that I was a little bummed that the golden duochrome goodness wasn't showing up on the nail. Look at that gorgeous bottle! None of that appeared on my nails. Wah wahhhh... Oh well, it's still a beautiful color!

What is your favorite Zoya?
