Wet n Wild Disturbia

Hey guys!

I have one of the newer Wet n Wild Megalast polishes today.

Wet n Wild Disturbia is a lovely eggplant purple creme with subtle pink shimmer. Yummy!

2 coats, no top coat. This was nice. Easy to apply, good formula... very impressive for $1.99!


And now all I can think of is Rihanna's song. Ba bum di dum...

Pink Wednesday: Nail Polish Cyber Space

Hey guys! Sorry for the late post today. I was shopping with my mom... fun times :-)


Cyber Space is a sheer jelly purple-y pinky color with micro glitter.


I'm gonna tell you right now that these photos don't do it justice. It's more purple than pink but whatevs. I'm still counting it for Pink Wednesday :-)

3 coats, no top coat.

MaxFactor Fantasy Fire

Hey guys!

I have the much sought after MaxFactor Fantasy Fire to show you today. I won this from Sammy at The Nailasaurus.  Two of the three base colors I used were also in the prize.

Index: NYC Pier 17
Middle: Sally Hansen Virtual Violet
Ring: NYC Prince Street
Pinky: NYC Pier 17

I used two coats of each base color.

Then the Fantasy Fire! Two coats.

I wasn't able to capture the color shift very well but it is perfectly lovely.

Random Monday Spam!

Hey guys! Happy Monday! I am back from a mini vacation this weekend. My hubby took me on a little getaway because I had mentioned something along the lines of "I'm going to have a nervous breakdown if we don't take a vacation" and apparently he didn't want that to happen :-p

So I have a few random nail polishes today. Well not random as in 'random' but random as in "two different brands and not the same color."

First up is Essie Turquoise and Caicos. I received this in a lovely swap with Elise, one of my twitter pals :-) I got this forever ago but... yeah, I'm really behind on photos/posts!

This was 3 coats of T&;C, with no top coat. This color makes me feel soooooo vacation-y. I feel confident this is what the water in Turks & Caicos looks like. Gawgeous! I feel like I've already show you guys this  but.... oh well :-p

Now we have Zoya Phoebe. Phoebe is a matte polish and while I'm not usually crazy about matte's, Zoya does does good ones! 

 And then I had to make it glossy.

 Then I added a layer of Zoya Glimmer, because I was not sure how Glimmer would look over any polish and I figured I might as well figure it out now.

1.  I love animals more than people.
2.  Sprinkles are the happiest topping.

1. In the age of blogs, do you still subscribe to magazines, and if so which ones? Yes, I have a Cosmopolitan, Lucky, Shape, and Martha Stewart Living subscription, but they were all free except for Cosmo.

3. Do you travel a lot? What are your favorite places you have traveled to? I don't travel a lot but I do like to travel. I like Vegas and on our honeymoon we went to Cabo San Lucas. It was delightful!
4. Does your significant other support your beauty habit? He does and doesn't. He doesn't get it but I think he's past the point of objecting to my nail polish purchases :-p
5. What is your favorite movie? Ohhh man... I have a lot of favorite movies. Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, Sweet Home Alabama, The Italian Job, nerd movies like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and a bunch of others.
6. Mac or PC? MAC!
7. Where's your favorite place to shop? Target. It's a genius consumer trap!
8. What nail polish brand would you choose over all others? China Glaze
9. What is the beauty product you can't live without? Chapstick brand mint Chapstick. Seriously Addicted.
10. What brand of cosmetics would you buy more of, if money was no object? Hmm... probably Kate Somerville face wash. It's not THAT expensive but it's more than I like to pay for face soap.
11. What is your favorite green polish? Ohhh...... I like China Glaze Agro, A England Saint George, umm.... I can't think of others!!

Hey guys!


This is from the Kardashian Kollection again. I guess I love the Kardashians, who knew?

Anyway, Kendal On The Katwalk is a fabulous glitter with green, blue and purple.

 This is.... I'm gonna say 3 coats. And I used a lot of top coat for this glitter. Like 3 coats. But it was fabulous.

It ended up chipping off after about 2 1/2 days; HOWEVER, it chipped off in sheets so I didn't have to remove glitter for hours. I was kind of happy about that.

Brash Sergeant Khaki

Hey guys! Happy Friday! YAY!!!

This is the last Brash polish I have to show you.

Sergeant Khaki is a mossy green foily glass flecked nail polish. For the recond, my pointer finger isn't smudged; it is a weird reflection.

2 coats, no top coat.


What do you think of the Payless nail polish? Have you tried it? Would you? For the money, I really liked it. The forumla's were easy to work with and the colors are right up my alley.
