New Year's GLITTAHBOMB!

Hey guys!

Did you have a nice New Year's Eve? We always host a house party for our friends... I am too old and grumpy to go out to a bar, I like to be able to hear my friends when they are talking to me :-p

We had an ugly sweater theme this year. I was originally going to paint my nails with that theme but I figured that a GLITTAHBOMB!!! will be more fabulous :-) And it would be a good time to use some of my untrieds :-)

I started with Revlon's Black With Envy.

Buster was gnawing on his Green Dog while I was doing this manicure. He successfully ripped the back of this toy open and pulled out all of the fluff.... *sigh* So much slobber was involved.

Then I did a coat of China Glaze Dorothy Who?

Then a layer of OPI's Servin' Up Sparkle. This was so pretty, I almost left it as it was but I went forward with moar glitter, of course.

 Blurry and sparkly!

Then I added a coat of Color Club Wish Upon A Rock-Star, a multi-colored glitter.

Then a coat of Sinful Frenzy, a blue and purple glitter.

THEN a coat of Unicorn Puke...

Then a coat of Sinful Colors Pearl Harbor, which I apparently forgot to photo.

My nails were about 4 inches thick and they didn't dry until about 4 hours later, lol. But it was so pretty!

Here is everything I used.

Do you make New Year's resolutions? What are some of your resolutions for 2012?

Talk to you soon!

Flower Nails with Unicorn Puke

Hey guys!

So today I decided to attempt some nail art. It is very rough nail art and I don't have any stamps or plates or anything like that. But I saw an extremely easy to follow tutorial on The Nailasaurus and I thought "hey, even I can do that!" So I did :-)

I started with two coats of China Glaze Crimson as my base coat.

This is a really really dark burgundy color, it almost looks black but it's definitely not black.

Then I dotted little flowers with Sinful Winterberry.
Then, I dotted Wet n Wild 24 Carats in the center.

I topped it off with INM Out the Door top coat.

Then I was like "but wait... I have this Unicorn Puke and I really want to wear it. So I applied a light layer of UP to the flowers.

So that's my flower manicure. Simple and not at all perfect but I think it looks cute :-)

Talk to you soon!
